The document discusses three different film poster designs. For the first design, saturated darker colors were used and the film title was placed below the main protagonist's photo to focus attention on both. However, this design was disliked as it looked chaotic and lacked clear structure and professional fonts. The second design was inspired by Requiem for a Dream and incorporated a split screen with dilated eye and character photos to connote danger and the struggles faced. The film title was centered in bold to catch attention along with a subheading insinuating future drug abuse. This design was personally liked but felt to lack originality.

2. For this film poster design, I decided to makethe colours saturated and darker. I wanted to
place most of the audience’s eyes towards the title of the film.
I decided to place the film title below the photo of the main protagonist, to keep focus on
her photo as well as the film title. I placed the film title with a black banner behind it to
make it pop. As well, as making the letters bold and clear to read. I wanted to create a
simplistic title look.
I disliked this design as I felt it look quite chaotic as well as ineffective. Itdidn’t have clear
structure. Also, the fonts used did not look professional.
3. For this next film poster design, I was incredibly inspired by the film poster for ‘requiem for a
dream’ and as an amateur, I tried to create my own with a twist. I had incorporated a split
screen, with one photo of an eye with a dilated pupil to reflect drug usage. In the other photo,
I used the same photo as the first design. However, I changed the colour to red to connotates
danger and foreshadow whatwould happen in the trailer, and the struggles faced by the
character.
I placed the film title in the centre to catch the attention of the audience in a bold, large
found. Abovethis, I placed a sub heading which insinuates future drug abusein the film and
makes the reader question what will happen in the trailer.
Personally, I loved this design however I felt it was not original enough.
