The document proposes researching the target audience of 16-30 year olds in the UK in order to create a documentary that will appeal to them. It suggests including people of similar ages to the target audience so viewers can relate to them. The documentary will also feature a narrator in the same age group. The target audience regularly uses technology and would watch the channel, like BBC 3, where the documentary is planned to air. The style of the documentary will include direct camera interviews, some fly-on-the-wall footage, and have a linear narrative with an on-screen presenter and voiceover narration.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2. Point of the proposal
The point of doing research into our target audience is so that we are able
to include elements of similar products in the creation of our documentary.
The reason we are researching target audience is because we want to make a
documentary that will appeal to our target audience and to do so we need to
research other products created for the same audience. Doing this will mean
that we will be able to implement some of the conventions we find such as the
way that the people featured in the documentary are normally around the same age
as the target audience meaning that the viewers can relate to the people in the
documentary and the problems they are facing. We will also be doing this as our
narrator will also be in the same age group as our target audience meaning our
audience will be able to relate to the documentary.
3. Target Audience
The target audience for our documentary are mainly going to be between the
ages of 16-30 as this age range is the range which would be using
technology the most. Also this is also the range of ages that would be most
likely to watch the channel that we would air the documentary on as well. We
do not have an exact target gender as we are targeting both males and
females equally as it is a topic that effects both genders. We will aim the
documentary at mainly middle class and maybe lower middle class as people
in this category will have experience with technology and will probably have
an interest in it as well. Demographic and lifestyle will include all of the UK as
we would ne airing it on BBC 3 which is a free to view channel so anyone in
the UK could see it and the life style we are targeting are people who are
interested in technology.
4. The style of our documentary will contain elements of mainly direct
camera through interviews and we will be including some small
elements of fly on the wall style as we would like to observe some
people while naturally using technology. Our documentary will be quite
opinion based but it will mainly be Participatory asking questions and
doing interviews so we are able to get a wide range of opinions in order
to make the viewer think do we really take technology for granted? We
will also be going with a linear narrative style as since we are planning
to make a video diary this means that the documentary will have to be in
chronological order. We are planning to have a voice of authority
narrator with a presenter on screen meaning that we will have to script
our documentary and also script the interviews and Vox Pops we are
going to do in order for it to be as professional as possible.
