- #6 Polycom UC Intelligent Core In Microsoft UC environment, B2B communications will be done through AV Edge Server, which conforms to Microsoft deployment. HDX with 2.6.1 and RMX (Q4 2010) support ICE/TURN/STUN, so that inter-organizational communications can happen not just for Office Communicators but with HDX and RMX as well. CMA serves as management and provisioning server, as Office Communications Server handles call signaling as well as presence. Recording and Streaming (RSS 4000) can be part of the solution as it can be set up for RMX meetings with recording link. Polycom DMA and Polycom RMX provide scalable and flexible conferencing experience with bridge virtualization and high availability. Polycom VMC1000 is the video content management server where it could provide enterprise video service for live streaming as well as video on demand, and it has an optional module to be integrated with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2007.

Items with a green check are new to the Management and Deployment Suite above and beyond the SE200 version 3.0 Management: The management solution in the CMA provides management for both devices and conferences, with real time conference monitoring and centralized diagnostics Scheduling: CMA is the scheduling solution for the RMX 2000 and provides a variety of ways to schedule conferences including via Outlook, Lotus Notes and web scheduling. It can be integrated with Active Directory, making it simple and easy to schedule rooms, resources, people and video conferencing systems for any meeting. Scheduling any way you want it Pt to Pt and MP Provision and Soft update either “classic mode” (pull method) or “boot-strap” (push method) GK runs in Direct Mode GAB is provided as directory for older endpoints and H.350/LDAP for newer endpoints. In summary – the CMA is a vital part of any Polycom video solution. TERMS Active Directory ( AD ) is an implementation of LDAP directory services by Microsoft for use primarily in Windows environments. Its main purpose is to provide central authentication and authorization services for Windows-based computers. Active Directory also allows administrators to assign policies, deploy software, and apply critical updates to an organization. - #17 Currently on Site Topology you can view the video network, site details (bandwidth, site name, country code, etc.), and you can drag and move it around to have it look visually the way you want. No “world view” and no ability to drill down into a site. New CMA puts the topology on top of a world map so operator can visually see each continent and how their network is set up geographically. Additionally, from this view, they can drill down into the sites and get more information about what’s happening in each location.
