Web and mobile development have always been separate worlds. Sure there have been tools like PhoneGap but it never matched the performance of native apps. React Native is here to change all that by using React to render native components for both iOS and Android. This talk will give an introduction to React Native though the eyes of a web developer.

Building a PWA with Ionic, Angular, and Spring Boot - GeeCON 2017Matt Raible
In this session, I show how to build a Progressive Web App (PWA) using Ionic, Angular, and Spring Boot. PWAs are being hyped as the next big thing in mobile development. This talk will cut through the hype and get down to the nitty-gritty. Are they really better than native applications? Can you develop PWAs and easily target mobile and desktop with the same application?

Tech talks (Automation on Selenium Web Driver. How to begin & implement)Taras Lytvyn
This short presentation shows you all the steps you need to pass for having all neccessary skill for Web Automation on Selenium Webdriver. Also short review about Selenium versions migrations and implementation for two types of QA teems:
1-st is only manual QA teem that want to automate, and second is teem that automates on Selenium 1.0 and want to migrate with Web Driver. Short step by step tutorial will shows you what exactly you need to learn and read and from what resources just to have enough skills for automation. The last slides give great example what advanced features could be automated with selenium webdriver so for dispelling the ideas that not the all things could be automated.
Selenium IDE Tutorial For Beginners | Selenium IDE Tutorial | What Is Seleniu...Simplilearn
This presentation about Selenium IDE for beginners will help you learn about the new Selenium IDE, its working principle, components, key features, and limitations. Selenium is an automated testing tool that tests web applications across various platforms and browsers. Selenium IDE happens to be one of the Selenium tools with a simple working principle. Selenium IDE ceased to exist in 2017 and an updated version released recently. It records the user interactions with the browser and replays the same to find bugs/errors. Many advancements with the new version have made IDE flexible and robust. Now, let us get started and understand what the new Selenium IDE has got to offer us.
In this presentation, we will be covering the following:

Midwest PHP 2017 DevOps For Small teamJoe Ferguson
DevOps is a large part of a company of any size. In the 9+ years that I have been a professional developer I have always taken an interest in DevOps and have been the "server person" for most of the teams I have been a part of. I would like to teach others how easy it is to implement modern tools to make their everyday development and development processes better. I will cover a range of topics from "Stop using WAMP/MAMP and start using Vagrant", "version control isn't renaming files", "Automate common tasks with shell scripts / command line PHP apps" and "From Vagrant to Production".
Chrome Extensions are fun to build and very powerful, thanks to the expansive API Google provides. This talk will explore techniques for structuring and testing your extension projects, using tools such as Grunt, Browserify and Venus.js. A quick refresher of major extension development concepts will be also be reviewed.
With the Windows 10 Creators Update we have grown the Universal Windows Platform for building, selling, and distributing apps. Learn how to quickly engage your user with streaming app installation. The session also covers how you can use optional packages to extend your existing apps and what optional packages mean for distribution, monetization, and user experience.
This session will introduce Spring/Alfresco development tools such as WebScript editor, WebScript Documentation plugin, FreeMarker editor, JavaScript editor, Surf Roo addon and Surf Spring template projects. We'll demonstrate how to use these tools to create, build, deploy and test Surf or Webscript-based projects. We'll also have a discussion on the future of Alfresco development tools and the SDK.
In Coscup 2011, the slide shows why developer should use continue integration(jenkins) toolbox with project management(redmine, trac, google code) toolbox to fulfill the need of software project lifecycle. And share the working step of Android+jenkins.

Talk given at JavaOne 2009 discussing how to build web applications using OSGi. The source for the demo found at http://github.com/mrdon/jforum-plugins/tree/master
Session Abstract: Enterprise Web applications tend to grow like weeds in monolithic complexity. OSGi, although more often associated with Java™ technology-based clients and application servers, can bring a new level of modularity, uptime, and stability that is needed with today's always-on hosted Web applications. OSGi gets really interesting when the pretty architecture diagrams meet the real world, because it consists of various deployment platforms, development environments, and application architectures. This presentation, for Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE™ platform)-savvy architects and senior developers, provides a practical guide to the Web on OSGi, from integration approach to bundle development, to real-world code you can use today.
The session discusses
• What benefits OSGi brings to the J2EE platform
• Three integration strategies
• How to use Spring DM and Maven to ease development
• Lessons learned from Atlassian's recent OSGi deployment
• A production-ready example to use immediately
Plugins have evolved in the past year, and the new plugin architecture will be incorporated in all products in 2009. This session dives into the detail of the new plugins system, guides developers on the best techniques and approaches and explores how the architecture will evolve further.
Atlassian Speaker: Don Brown
Key Takeaways:
* In-depth look at plugins 2
* How-tos and code samples
Rewriting a Plugin Architecture 3 Times to Harness the API EconomyTim Pettersen
Tim Pettersen and Ian Buchanan discuss the benefits and pitfalls of building an plugin SPI, and unveil Atlassian's new remote add-ons framework: Atlassian Connect.

Using HttpWatch Plug-in with Selenium Automation in JavaSandeep Tol
This article will give the developers and testers to use Java programming for capturing IE browser HTTP logs using HTTP Watch Plug-in (V10) , in Selenium scripts
HTTP Watch comes with inbuilt API support to integrate with selenium scripts written in C# or PHP scripts . Refer http://apihelp.httpwatch.com/#Automation%20Overview.html
But unfortunately they don’t have API written for JAVA. There are no samples or articles available to use Httpwtach with Java interface.
Using this article you would learn how HttpWatch plug-in which component can be easily interfaced with Java code and then executed via selenium script.
The solution is to use Java COM bridge and invoke HTTP Watch plugin API from Java based selenium scripts.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
