Directions You will create 3 different ideas for your plaster sculpture. Then, together we will select the best design, based on abstraction & the creativity of your idea.
Your sculpture has to be  abstract You may take an object from “real life” and eliminate details.  You may reduce an object to basic shapes and curves. You may combine shapes & curves to create your own design (that doesn’t really look like a specific object).

Plaster Cup Orientation Is your design . . . Vertical (Wider at the top & narrow at the bottom?) Vertical (Narrow at the top & wider at the bottom?) Horizontal?
In honor of Henry Moore . . . You must include in your 3 designs a negative space--a hole--that the viewer can see through.
Your 3 designs, must be colored with colored pencils. You may include other materials (like string) or a base for your design. This assignment must be completed in your sketchbook & will count as a sketchbook grade (100 points).
