This document introduces PlacementsOnline, a platform that aims to improve the process of job placements for students and employers. It allows employers to post available jobs and assess candidates through online tests administered with remote proctoring. Students can search for jobs, take assessments, and progress through the selection process virtually. The goals are to provide wider access to opportunities, increase transparency, enable just-in-time hiring based on merit, and offer convenience through the online system. It is proposed to make the placement process more efficient, scalable, and reduce costs for both employers and students.
