Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. - 1. All about festivals and live music By Jess Wortham
- 2. ABOUT THE MAGAZINE • This magazine (‘Herts Music’) is based on festivals and live music in Hertfordshire. It is mainly based around pop music and is aimed at teenagers/young adults and families who enjoy listening to music and want to enjoy themselves and fill their free time. • The magazine will explain where each music festival or live music event is, how much for and who they will be watching, so they can see if they are interested or not. • There should be at least one music festival/live music event suited for everyone.
- 3. WHAT MAKES ‘HERTS MUSIC’ DIFFERENT? • It is an affordable magazine, at the price of only £2.50. • It includes a variety of events for teenagers/young adults, families and for people who may have free time to fill. • It includes well known artists for a variety of ages.
- 4. THE FRONT COVER • I want to make my front cover stand out so it gets the attention of many people, and so it’s eye-catching and people are intrigued to buy it. • It will consist of warm colours, such as yellow, orange and red so it’s bold and stands out. • The title will be black so it stands out from the other information on the page and people can easily remember this title as it’s simple and basic.
- 5. COLOURS AND FONTS I have chosen these colours as they are bold, eye-catching and stand out. On a magazine stall, this magazine will be able to stand out and be unique compared to the other magazines. Bodoni MT Black Bodoni MT Brush Script Std I will be using these fonts as they look nice together and are bold, simple and basic so stand out and are easily readable.
- 6. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD • Images will be included on each double page spread to help give a greater understanding of what’s it’s about and to engage the audience more. • This makes it more interesting to look at and read so it’s not all reading and boring/uninteresting. Each double page spread will include a live music event or festival that people can attend on one side, and a Q and A from a Hertfordshire artist on the other.
- 7. BUDGET • The budget isn’t a problem because Herts county will pay for resources. • I will be taking on most of the roles, for example; photographer, writer, questionnaire, so it won’t cost them anything as I will be doing it myself. • The resources I will be using are already available locally so I won’t have to pay out for these.
- 8. DISTRIBUTION AND MARKETING This magazine will be distributed throughout Hertfordshire as this is where the artists have grown up, and Hertfordshire is a large area, so it will be spread quickly and easily. Overtime, as the magazine begins to grow and become more popular, then it can be distributed further than Hertfordshire and other artists might then become involved.
- 9. PROMOTING AND ADVERTISING My magazine will start in local shops and supermarkets, but overtime I would like it to spread through social media, as this is easier for people to notice and share with other people they know, meaning it will continue to grow. It will begin to be promoted through social media, such as snap chat, Instagram and Facebook so it is shared to a variety of ages.
