I chose these pictures
because of the lighting
and the shadows on the
faces. I thought that it
was quite menacing and
would therefore fit my
dark country genre.

I didn’t choose these images as
the lighting was wrong and I did
not think that they portrayed
how I wanted my band to be
seen.
Here the band
member is too happy
and therefore does
not fit with my genre.
Here the band member
has no expression on his
face and because of this it
was not very interesting.

 Front Cover
I chose this image
because the power
line was very central,
which meant that I
could reflect the
image simply in
Photoshop. The light
of the clouds
contrasts with the
darkness below and
the power line has a
long reflection in a
puddle.

5.  Back Cover
I chose this image
because of the high
quality ripples and
bubbles in the
water. I also
thought that the
waterfall would be
great to put some
centralised text
onto.

6. Disk
I chose these two images because I
knew that when they would be
blended together it would look like
the bridge is going into the water. I
also wanted to make the water image
symmetrical so that two of the fern
plants met in the middle.

7. Inside Cover
I chose this image
because of the
definition in the clouds.
I thought that the
white highlights made
the picture look quite
interesting.
The sun in the corner
also makes the power
line appear darker and
therefore it stands out
from the clouds.

8. Spine
I chose this image
because I had to
take a small slice
out for my spine.
This image has
multiple different
textures and
features to look at,
which allowed me
to make the most
of the small space
available in a spine.

9. Alternate Pictures
I didn’t choose the top images
simply because I felt I already
had the best images.
I didn’t choose these bottom images because the were to dark and therefore did not stand out
very well. They would have made my final product look dull and boring.
