This document discusses the Pick n Place robotics competition hosted by Chameli Devi Group of Institutions. It provides an introduction to the competition as well as details on the rules, history at CDGI, modifications to increase participation, and applications of pick and place robots. The competition challenges participants to design a manually controlled robot that can lift a specified weight and clear an obstacle course in the shortest time. In recent years, around 30 teams have participated annually. The organizers aim to further increase participation by modifying the first round to focus on hitting balls into holes rather than object picking and placement.

Automation for Horizontal Plastic Injection Moulding industries at to pick and place sprue (plastic waste) from plastic IMM to granulator within 8 sec reducing cycle time and thus enhancing productivity.Robot works on electro-pneumatic circuit operated by C programmed micro-controller.Design was validated in CATIA V5. The model works on 2 to 4 bar pressure air compressor with flow controlled. The model was designed for 40 to 65 ton machines. Different existing models were studied, industrial survey of 14 companies was done and by design synthesis, swing arm horizontal prototype was made with 1/2 kg payload for sprue. The robust mild steel body had miter bevel gear for power transmission and Teflon slider on aluminium arm.
The best design innovation was that through gravity use, gripper wrist rotation and vertical descend stroke for sprue release was eliminated in motion sequence by adopting swing arm horizontal robot configuration instead of conventional swing arm vertical movement. Also, effective trajectory planning for swing arm cylinder was done.
What is mineral water?
It consists of removing chlorines and THMs (trihalomethanes) through a daily-monitored activated carbon filtration process. A water softener is used to reduce water hardness. Demineralisation removes unwanted minerals (through reverse osmosis or distillation).

On-grid solar systems do not need batteries and are connected to the public electricity grid and use solar inverters. Any surplus solar power you produce is sold to the electricity grid, and the energy you sell is usually paid a feed-in tariff (FiT) or credits.
Institute has setup 20 Kwp on-grid on rooftop Solar Power Plant, to generate electricity, due to which electricity bill is minimizes. The institute is generating around 100 units electricity per day which is then connected to our Transformer and supplied to Electricity Board JOGINDER NAGAR.
The setup is cost effective and due to this we are capable to use solar energy as well. Institute is also planning to install street lights in the campus, so that in future the consumption of the electricity can be done.
Institute is having Bio Toilets for male and female trainees.
These Bio Toilets are made by the trainees of Plumber Trade at the back side of Block B and its expenditure is done by Block Development Officer Chauntra.
The extent of employability gap can also be gauged from the 2014 survey report (National Employability Report 2014) by Aspiring Minds, which shows that out of the six hundred thousand engineers that graduate annually, only 18.43% are employable for the Software Engineer-IT services role, while a dismal 3.95% are appropriately trained to be directly deployed on projects. For core jobs in mechanical, electronics/electrical and civil engineering only a mere 7.49% are employable. As per the report, the key reason behind such poor employability statistics is inadequate preparation in the domain area, i.e. the ability to apply basic principles of say, computer engineering or mechanical engineering to real world
The quantitative
At present scenario, productivity and economics of machining work pieces in large
quantity is greatly affected by use of work holding devices like fixture. To achieve
require accuracy with reduced rework and easy handling, fixtures are provided. This
project is about designing the fixture for pressing bearing inside the crank case. For
this purpose of designing and analysing the modelling software known as solid works is
to be used. The fixture is design mainly to get multiple bearing pressed on crank case
while keeping it stable and to get the accuracy of press within tolerance limit.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

MODIFICATION WHICH CAN HELP TO INCREASE
THE NO. OF PARTICIPATING TEAM
APPLICATION OF PICK N PLACE ROBOT.
CONCLUSION
3. INTRODUCTION-
The picker to catch and the placer to drop must not be two
different machines but only the one, amalgamated. The strength
of lifting and the precision of putting the mass should be enabled
in your bot concurrently. So, pick out such a powerful object and
hit .
4. ARENA OF PICK N PLACE
Above is the required arena for pick n place
Different object is kept in the way of arena to perform
pick and place.
5. RULES:
WEIGHT STATEMENT::
Design a machine (manual control) which has the ability to lift a
specified weight and then clear the track in minimum time. Both
wired and wireless bots will be allowed.
6. RULES CONT.
Dimensions and Fabrication:-Maximum dimension of the
bot should not exceed 40*40*40(l*b*h)cms.
There will be no limitation on weight to particular bot.
Readymade lego kits are not allowed.
Bot must be manually controlled (It may be wired or
wireless).
In case of wireless bot it must be operated on dual frequency
to avoid interference.
Bot should be insulated properly.
Battery and power:Power supply should not exceed 18V
(DC).
7. General rules:
Team members cannot exceed more than 4(All the
participants must be from a registered engineering
college).
Maximum time for the completion of task is 10 minutes.
Dragging is not allowed at the time of object picking.
After picking the different object bot have to clear the
specified track.
More than one object can be picked at a time.
On the basis of points & time taken to complete the task,
teams will be selected for next round.
8. General rules Cont.
Point will be considered only when the task has been
completed cleanly.
More than one object can be added at the start of the game.
Material of the object is not disclosed before the start of
event.
After picking the object, if the object falls down in the middle
of the track any where then some point will be deducted.
Judges Decision will be considered as final decision.
Minor changes in rules and track may occur at the time of
event as per our convenience
9. History of pick n place event at cdgi:-
Cdgi started this event in 2009.
No. of participant increased successively every year.
From last year citronics (2014) record approx~30 teams
participated in these event.
Registration fees for pick n place last year is Rs-250 per team,
therefore 250*30= Rs 7500,and
1 prize is of worth ~ Rs 8000/-
Means there is negligible amount of loss with regard to this event.
10. PRESENT & FUTURE ASPECT FOR
THIS EVENT-
With regard to present scenario in citronics 2015,the no. of
participating teams is most probably increase by 30+ (last
record).
Due to advancement in electronics and automation the need
of automation engineers need is increases rapidly, and pick
and place gives the correct platform to show the talent for
engineers.
These events is apart from event like-race, drag, soccer, sumo
etc, and these event is only organized by some of premier
institute like-IIT INDORE,IIT BOMBAY,IIT GUWAHATI
,in indore only few college like SGSITS, MEDICAPS, IIST,
ACROPOLIS, LNCT & CDGI.
Cdgi is the only institute in indore who is organizing these
event even before IIT INDORE.
11. PRESENT & FUTURE ASPECT FOR
THIS EVENT-
Due to uniqueness of these it will increase credibly of our
institute
Pick n place event need only one time investment, therefore
more candidates try for it.
With regard to future aspect no. of colleges are increasing
who have started organizing these event.
Last year citronics2k14 winner (2) position, college name –
CSIT,DURG started these event since last year and they
influenced by our event, when our college team participated
in durg at that time they came to know about this.
12. MODIFICATION WHICH CAN
HELP TO INCREASE THE NO. OF
PARTICIPATING TEAM-
Earlier in pick n place we used to pick the object and place it. in
both the round first and final both,
instead of doing that these time in first round the bot have to hit
the ball in hole.
Hole is made in the arena, the ball can be hit in the hole by either
picking or dragging.
Advantage of above is that the participant of other event like race,
soccer can easily participate in these event without making any
modification in their bot.
By making above changes Without altering Our motto of pick n
place we can seek maximum no. of participant.
Successively in the second round only those bot are allowed that
having any handy help in their bot for picking.
14. CONCLUSION
Due to successful history of pick n place event, definitely will
play an role of very unique event and we expect number of
participating team nearly about 40+
