1. The women in the picture are cooking for the men in the kitchen.
2. Hitler is portraying a kind behavior to the small male child in front of whom I would assume to
be his family members in the background.
3. The police dogs are trying to attack the African American people in the picture.
4. The African American male had hung himself from the Statue of Liberty as if saying that not
everyone is as “free” as it may seem.
5. The family is looking over the water admiring the Statue of Liberty from afar, appreciating the
idea of freedom.
6. The kids are getting their eyes checked as a rule of the concentration camp.
What message do you think the photographer was trying to convey?
1. The photographer was trying to show the history of the women’s jobs and “duties”.
