Kaylee believes people need to be taught about discrimination early in life as a way to prevent it.

However, after learning the course studied how society interacts, the student became very interested. The student learned many things they had never considered before and their expectations were exceeded. Key topics covered included race, gender, and sexuality. The most impactful part for the student was discussing modern discrimination issues in depth and realizing how pervasive discrimination remains. The course opened their eyes and changed their perspective on societal issues.

Kaylee is survived by her husband, daughter, parents, and cousins. The family appreciates the prayers, love, and support from friends and community during this difficult time.
