What message do you think the photographer was trying to convey?
1. That it’s hard times due to the fact that women are working.
2. That hitler was not a bad guy and he cared about children and the people of his country, or his
“perfect human being,” i.e. the human with blonde hair and blue eyes.
3. This photo is trying to depict and show the message that police brutality is real.
4. The person who drew this picture was trying to convey that the African American person during
that time was being oppressed and taken total advantage of.
5. Hope in a new world.
6. The picture shows the detail in selection of draftees health-wise, and their meticulous

Why is this photograph important to history?
1. To remind us that in hard time, we all have to work together.
2. To remind us that even though he was the reason for the death of millions of Jews, he brought
an entire country together in support of one goal like no other of humanity.
3. It shows us the dark past of African American history so that we do not repeat the past with
any other culture.
4. It’s important to history because it’s a visual representation of how the people felt the African
Americans were being oppressed, as well as a literal representation of what was going on.
5. It’s important because it showed what immigrants during the early 1900s first saw when they
were coming to America for their new start.
6. It reminds of how far our worlds militaries have come in only the last seventy to eighty years.
