Pratibha Singh, a class 12 student, completed a physics investigatory project on transformers under the guidance of her teacher Amit Parashar. The project examined the relationship between the input and output voltage and number of turns in the primary and secondary coils of self-made transformers. Key findings were that output voltage depends on the ratio of turns in the secondary to primary coils, and there is power loss between the input and output coils. Precautions like keeping safe from high voltage and ensuring constant AC current were followed.
