Pay-for-Success Initiatives for Early Childhood Programsmdanielsfirstfocus
Evidence-based early childhood programs, such as home visiting and high-quality preschool, hold enormous promise to improve the early health, education, and development of at-risk children, helping them and their parents break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. Although Congress has increased investments in early childhood programs, these services reach only a fraction of the low-income children and families who could benefit from them. Pay-for-success initiatives, in which the government pays for set outcomes rather than social services, is quickly becoming a mechanism for local and state governments to finance evidence-based early childhood services for children and families. This webinar describes the basic concepts of pay-for-success initiatives and explores the goals, components, and status of three pay-for-success projects currently in development and in operation involving preschool and home visiting programs.

10. Questions:
Q1: Service Element language for Problem Gambling (SE 80) indicates that annual reports are
to be submitted electronically to amhcontract.administrator@state.or.us, however, email from Roxann
requested they be submitted to her directly. Which way is correct?
A1: It is okay to utilize the amhcontract.administrator@state.or.us to submit reports. Reports
are then forwarded directly to state PGS staff. Looking at SE language for next biennium, to streamline
process. No worries if you submitted directly or utilized the amh contract administrator, annual
reports can be submitted either way. Apologies for any confusion.
Q2: 2016 Student Wellness Data is already posted on line, however no previous year
comparison data listed for problem gambling. Also are those reports final?
A2: Roxann checked with Healthy Analytics after the call and the data that is in the reports
is final. Comparison data has not been gathered for problem gambling in the past. In general the data
in the comparison section of the report has been for DFC funded projects.
Q3: Will SWS data be cross tabulated by risk factors as well?
A3: Yes, a request will be submitted to Health Analytics to start
that work.
