As a research from International Journal of Business and Management about a company stopped its
automatic salary increments says that the employees of the company were not happy with that scheme
and the company tries to give training to them about that bonus scheme. So the company ordered all
the HODs (Head of Departments) to educate their respective departments on the benefits of the new
bonus scheme. After the training those employees get enough education about the new bonus system
and they agreed to the new system. And they were motivated to work harder (Akinlolu Ayodeji
Agboola amp; Rafiu Oyesola Salawu 2011).
Participation can be used to satisfy the workers, as when workers are participated and involved in
decision making process then they will have understanding that the organization needs them and value
their work. If the people actively participate they will be more likely to feel ownership of the change
and will be less likely to resist. When the employees are involved and participated in planning and
implementing the change process will have better understanding towards the changes. Participation of
managers and employees to the change approach will be able to manage resistance to change quicker
(Rosemond Boohene amp; Asamoah Appiah Williams 2012). When employees are involved in the
change effort they are more likely to buy into change rather than resist it. This approach is likely to
lower resistance

The Setting Up More Of Victoria s Ordinary World
The opening sets the tone, but consider setting up more of Victoria s ordinary world. Make the point
that her philosophy of therapy is different than her husband, but then move on.
An alternative to consider is to make Victoria the opposite. She believes that therapy can only help a
patient go so far, and that she advocates for medication.
This would give her a stronger character arc, as she realizes her own philosophy about treatment
changes.
Consider making the goal more specific and focus on one major patient. Create the story of the
imaginary friend to be more compelling and mysterious. So, if the goal is to help Donald, make his
story more captivating and stay focused on this story. Make it more suspenseful and peel away the
mystery. Try to create a twist.
Consider moving up what Slice says, Dead spirits walkin around don t make no sense unless you feel
what they re after. They want something. This seems to be what Victoria needs to figure out (the goal)
from Donald or her client (kids).
Clearly identify what is at stake for Victoria. If she s not able to help her client her career will be
ruined. Don t be overly dramatic about, but make it clear. Perhaps her client comes from a wealthy
family and warns her if she damages the client, she ll never work again.
If the major mystery has a twist ending, make sure to put Victoria in jeopardy. While her sanity is in
jeopardy, in most thrillers, the climax involves a physical danger to the hero. So if she unravels a

Klansville USA Summary
Klansville U.S.A., is a book written about how the Ku Klux Klan thrived and how it eventually died
off. The book really interested it me because the focus of the location was in my home state, North
Carolina.
David Cunningham writes, By the summer of 1964, the Carolina Klan started a grueling schedule of
nightly rallies across the state, where they enlisted thousands of dues paying members. More than that,
at its mid 1960s peak the Klan s presence in North Carolina eclipsed klan membership in all other
southern states combined. North Carolina tried to hide the fact of how much the KKK had expanded
in the state. Klan is lowercased because of how disorganized Cunningham thought of the KKK.
In the 1960s, North Carolina was most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mississippi had Ross Barnett and the Citizens Councils, Alabama had George Wallace, South Carolina
had Strom Thurmond, but North Carolina disguised its segregationist policies behind the rhetoric of
moderation and goodwill. The ranting and raving were left not to those in power but to those on the
outside. Cunningham puts it this way: The broad political arena that circumscribed the public
articulation of racial interests also shaped the resonance of the klan s racist appeals and militant brand
of resistance, and: States that adopted a more moderate stance had few outlets for staunch
segregationists. In those settings, and especially where whites perceived their economic and political
well being as tied to racial separation, the UKA filled a void, providing in some cases the only
organized means for uncompromising resistance to federal

The Brain Is An Ever Elusive Thing
The brain is an ever elusive thing. There are so many mysteries still waiting to be discovered or
unlocked. Memory seemed an appropriate topic for this class as it is a necessity to completing it
successfully. This research paper will explain how the brain uses synapses to store certain memories
while others may be lost and how proteins play a major role in this process and could be the answer to
solving memory problems in the future.
To start, it is important to understand how memory storage occurs. After a series of experiments
conducted from 1958 2000, by Dr. Eric R Kandel and numerous colleagues, using a radical
reductionist approach, he found evidence for several theories.
First, our research suggests that the cellular and molecular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Based on his first conclusion, when it comes to short term memories, synaptic connections in the brain
are modified by small changes in proteins. Long term memories require that new proteins be formed,
gene expression be stimulated and new connections be synthesized. Implicit memory is a type of
memory in which previous experiences aid the performance of a task without conscious awareness of
these previous experiences. Explicit memory is the conscious, intentional recollection of previous
experiences and information. Storing of implicit and explicit memories can follow different processes.
Different signaling is necessary when storing implicit memories vs. explicit memories in the short
term. However, the storage of implicit and explicit memories in the long term, follows the same
specific signaling pathway.
Based on his second conclusion, different modularity transmitters are used depending on which type
of learning you are engaged in. These transmitters act in several different ways. They can either
activate, regulate, or mediate. If they activate, they trigger the enzyme kinase, which then reports to
the nucleus to aid in the growth of neurons and long term memory. If they regulate, they monitor
protein synthesis that is required in order to stabilize the synapses for long term storage. Finally,
mediation is the least understood process. What is known, is that it is necessary in recollecting specific
memories and memory production.

Brain and Behavior of Men and Women Essay
If we were to examine a high school calculus classroom or the staff at an engineering program of a
college or university, chances are that the male to female ratio would be significantly skewed. Why are
women and men so different in their choices and behavior? The brunt of popular opinion focuses on
the environmental cues that lead to our distinct behaviors. But is there also an innate biological basis
to the choices and differing abilities between men and women? Cognitive functioning or brain
processing differences in the two genders has been a point of interest and contention for many years.
The purpose of this essay is to explore if neuroanatomical and genetic differences between males and
females play a role in the development of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Contrary to popular belief, gender and anatomical sex refer to two distinct and separate constructs as
each develops at different times and in different parts of the body. John Money coined the
phenomenon that codes for masculinity or femininity as Gendermaps (1). At a very early age and
through an interaction of both nature and nurture, this gendermap imprint is established. What makes
gender identification and sex so frequently parallel to each other is that gendermap evolvement is
notably also induced by hormones that emanate from the developing fetus (1).
Behavioral Differences:
Though there are many similarities in the cognitive abilities of men and women, there are also
discernible differences. For the most part, the behavioral differences between the intellectual
capacities of the sexes have to do more with patterns of ability than the actual intellectual capacity (3).
For one, attention and perception differ early on. Baby girls have been noted to gaze longer at objects
than baby boys. Later they rely on landmarks and memory for guidance. Boys on the other hand, have
a better visual spatial ability such as aiming at stationary or moving targets and detecting minor
movements in their visual fields more easily. The fact that males perform better in navigation seems to
agree with the possible theory that evolutionarily, many of these abilities would have been important
for survival in the time of

KHF CORPORATION
SEEDS OF DISTRESS
Jim Layton, controller for Kitty (Hawk Food), Inc. (KHF) was under considerable stress as he walked
toward the chief executive s office. Marshall Horne, the CEO, was not known to take bad news well.
In his hands, Jim held two letters from food suppliers that threatened to cancel KHF s trade credit
accounts. KHF had developed difficulties in cash flow such that their payments on the accounts had
been late, at best. The suppliers provided normal trade terms to KHF, with a 2% discount for early
payment (within 10 days), and a 30 day limit. No purchase limits had been placed on the firm.
KHF had depended heavily on trade credit for the recent expansion of its service area into the Outer

Alright, what s up?
I have some correspondence from some of our business contacts, said Jim. He was trying to avoid
discussing the details in front of Tibbs, but Horne didn t stop the game. It s rather pressing.
Well spit it out! said Horne, obviously getting more agitated. Jim hesitated. Well? nudged Horne.
Jim took a deep breath. Our two biggest suppliers are threatening to cut us off said
Jim. Horne looked up suddenly. Tibbs looked shocked.
And HOW did you get us into that? roared Horne, trying to save face. Lets see, he said, snatching the
letters from Jim. I ll be right back, he said, looking back at Tibbs.
Outside the office, Horne scowled at Jim. What are you thinking, saying that in front of a customer?
I tried to avoid it I asked you to give me a few minutes, replied Jim.
Horne read the letters. Isn t it your job to keep these things from happening? What did they teach you
at that business school anyway? If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. I ll go
see these idiots today and set things straight. Cut me two checks for the balances. Jim stood his
ground. Unfortunately, we haven t collected most of our customer accounts. We don t have enough in
the account to cover even half of one of these replied
Jim. Both of them knew that Horne was supposed to collect accounts due as he made the rounds of his
customers.

Cheerleading Is The Sport That Test Athletes Physical And...
Cheerleading is the sport that test athletes physical and mental abilities. Most people ask what do
cheerleaders do? Well that is a simple question to most, they cheer. Yes they do cheer, but cheerleaders
do way more than most people think. They define gravity. Cheerleadings roots are closely tied to
American football s. The first intercollegiate game was played in 1869, between Princeton University
and Rutgers University in New Jersey, and by the 1880s ( varsity.com ). The question today is whether
or not cheerleading is safe or harmful to athletes.
The difference between cheer and every other sport is that they do not move objects across a field,
they throw people into the air. The athletes push their bodies to the absolute limit ... Show more

Waters stated that cheerleaders are particularly at risk for head and spinal injuries because personal
protective equipment like helmets, mouth guards, etc. is not given out as in other contact sport.
Athletes who play in other contact sports will argue and say that cheerleaders do not do anything to be
considered contact. In reality though the sport is known for having one of the dangerous injuries out
there which is a concussion. In the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners said
that A cheerleader may hit her head on a gym floor and that can cause skull fractures in addition to
concussions. Traumatic head injuries can happen from falls related to failure to catch a flyer properly.
If you would go around a room full of cheerleaders and ask why do you do this so called sport i
promise they will say, because of what you said how it is so called a sport we all use that as
motivation to prove to everyone who says we are not athletes that we are. From the way we jump
high, clean tight, spin fast, throw hard, and sticking our tumbling and in the midst of doing all of that
we make it look easy because they have practiced year round for this exact moment. Also in other
sports they have four quarters during a whole game and if one gets hurt you have a whole bench full
of players ready to get out on the field for cheer it is the complete opposite they have two minutes and

Article Analysis Of The North Korean Missile Launch
North Korean Missile Launch
After reading the articles about the North Korean missile launch on August 29th of 2017, Both news
sources portray bias in their own particular ways but Fox news seems to side. Fox states a quote from
Trump talking about all options are on the table due to the fact that North korea just shot a missile
over Japan. He talks about how the world is getting the message from North korea is threatening. The
misle showed that it could reach Guam if it really wanted to. Where the Washington Post states that
Trump and the President of Japan spoke about how they need to put more pressure on North Korea
due to their actions. Due to the test they did it looks aggressive to Washington, Seoul and Tokyo. The

The one that used more quotes was the Washington Post which from doing some research is a
democratic source. Which is why I think they used more quotes on what Trump had to say about the
situation to make it seem worse than it really was. Where Fox just got right to the point of what was
going on about the missile launch.
One thing that I noticed that was really strange about both articles were how similar the title and the
start of the articles were to each other. The titles are almost the exact same the word choice is used a
little differently but very similar. As for the start of each article they both start off with the exact same
line with President Trump said Tuesday that all options are on the table . Then briefly after that get
into the main subject of their stories. The washington post provided a picture of trump right at the top
of the article as well as a video of trump talking about the event and a video of the missile being
launched by north korea. Where Fox only provided one video of just 2 males talking about the event.
All of these are very different from each other and both are setting different tones and giving setting a
bias tone in my opinion.
The articles both had very different sources on where they got their information for the article. Fox
news claims that the associated press contributed to the report. Where on the other hand the
Washington Post got there sources

What was it and how did it work?
Honor during ancient Israel time is a status symbol, it is prize over wealth, and had no social class. It
is what all men during this time strive for with the help of their family and clan to uphold. Honor is
bestowed on a man during this time by his community through his deeds, following the rules, and the
running of his household, making sure their unmarried women and girls are virginal, and married
women reproduce a stay true to their husbands.
6. What is literary genre? Why is it important for understanding the literature of the Bible?
Literary genre is the various forms in which one choose to express their thoughts. There are 5 main
genres poetry, fiction, nonfiction and drama. This is important to the understanding of the Bible
because knowing the type of genre helps to prepare the reader to better understand the text.
7. How does knowing about patriarchy, honor, and literary genre help us to understand what all is
going on in the book of Ruth?
To understand the book of Ruth we first must understand its literary genre which, is a narrative, so we
know how to approach our reading of this story. Knowing about patriarchy, which the males during
this time held all the power, explains why Naomi was pleased that Ruth got Boaz, a wealthy
landowner and kinsman to Naomi s late husband, attention and told her to lay at his feet to ensure their

Beneficial Management Contributions
Every organization begins with a dream. A dream created by entrepreneurial minds at work. When an
organization is put together a person s vision is coming to life. The same vision foreseen in their
dreams is becoming a reality. This is amazing but can be very scary as well as there are numerous
risks involved that can bring on the worse of out comes; a shattered vision. A valuable key to ensure
the vision does not crumble at it s very foundation is management. Management is the process of
working with people and resources to accomplish organizational goals ( Bateman, and Snell). Now we

Douglas McGregor was born in 1906. In McGregor s earlier years he worked with his grandfather at
his institute for transient laborers in Detroit. During this time McGregor formed a close relationship
with Abraham Maslow and was greatly influenced by his work. He became influenced by scientific
management and thought in terms of the larger picture. During this time McGregor developed his
greatest contribution to management, the X Y theory.
The X Y theory is included in organization behavior. Organizational behavior studies and identifies
management activities that promote employee effectiveness through an understanding of the complex
nature of individual, group, and organizational process. (Bateman, Snell). The X Y theory says that
there are two types of managers differentiating in management style. Theory X says the average
employee dislikes working and if at all possible, would avoid working. Because of their nonexistent
desire to work, management must apply force with threats of punishment to enable the employee to
work towards organizational goals. Management must continually observe the worker to ensure they
are doing as they are told. Theory Y says that people will willingly apply themselves in their work.
They will apply self control and

Update the Recurring Sin Tax Law that Was Newly...
Rationale of the Study This study was drawn to update the recurring sin tax law that was newly
implemented by the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino by assessing its effect to the
consumers of sin products and has given fruitful grounds and suggestions for future research in this
field.
In belief, the purpose of the imposition of excise tax on sin products is to raise revenues and
discouraging the consumption of the tobacco products and alcoholic beverages. It is claimed that
higher excise taxes on tobacco will make some smokers to quit, and reduce consumption of continuing
smokers, and prevent others from starting (Sunley, 2009). Because the demand for cigarettes is
relatively price inelastic, the expectation is that higher taxes will yield higher revenues in the near
term while preventing smoking in the longer term. If a tax is imposed on a good, verbally express
excise taxes on alcohol or tobacco, it may possibly have influenced the decision of how many to
consume and make efficiency cost (Badenes Plá Jones, 2003). In contrast, according to McGee (2000),
liquor and cigarettes are had insensitive to changes of price that many of the consumers of sin
products continue to buy it regardless of the increase in its prices. Then, it becomes usual that there
will be a protest on excise tax for the reason that this sin tax law will not cause a reduction to their
demand in sin products. In worldwide tax rates, Philippines obtain the lowest rate specifically on

One irony of the Waco disaster, is that the right wing extremists and racists looked to Mount Carmel
as a beacon; if they realized that so many of us were Black, Asian, and Latino, and that we despised
their hateful politics and anger, they would probably feel bitterly betrayed. It was as if the community
was an isolated bubble of a perfect world, where all races, colors, and creeds, lived and worshiped
God together in perfect harmony, and I was glad to be a part of it. Now that is how I met my best
friend, and the man who turned my life around and directed me toward God. Many a times he told me
stories of his life before, his talks with God, and before becoming a deciphile of Jesus Christ. David
was born in 1955 in a small town on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, to a single mother. Never

Proposal For Red Bull
Marketing Research Proposal Red Bull
Red Bull is one of the greatest energy drink companies in the world. The iconic Blue and Silver can
has become a symbol for vitality, helping people with work and play. Its catchphrase, Red Bull gives
you wings! is a testament to the sort of imagery energy drinks wish to portray.
The brand Red Bull came in to existence in 1984, with its first product launched in 1987, making it a
pioneer in the global energy drink market. The idea came about to Mr. Dietrich Matechitz while in
Thailand. He noticed managers drinking a beverage called Krating daeng prior to meetings to stay
awake and focused. Upon trying the beverage, he found it to have a relieving effect on his jet lag. He
went on to collaborate with the creator of the drink, Chaleo Yoovidhya, and thus developed a ... Show

In light of this, Red Bull has positioned itself as a drink for youths, and with the right promotional
mix, these could lead to an increase in sales.
In order to make its brand relate to the masses of a country, Red Bull will produce labels in the
respective country s language. With this, a higher cost is incurred when launching the drink in
different geographic areas. Nevertheless, Red Bull recognizes the importance of communicating its
brand identity as this would bring about an increase in brand equity and thus, sales revenue in the
future.
With the advancement of social media and technological platforms, Red Bull has had to improve its
communication strategies and promotional tools to be more effective and relevant. These help to
advertise and promote the product, therefore providing a new way of communicating with the

Use Of Chemical Weapons In Chemical Warfare
The first actual use of a chemical weapon was in August 1914. The French utilized tear gas grenades
during an attack against the Germans. One of the more known use of a chemical weapon was at the
Second Battle of Ypres in April 1915. 160 tonnes of chlorine gas was released onto the French and
Algerian troops. This could be considered the starting point in chemical warfare as it was the first
large scale deployment of a chemical gas meant for harm. As more and more chemical weapons were
developed, more and more countries followed the trend.
The use of chlorine gas in trench warfare was first developed by Fritz Haber in 1914 as of help to the
German army. At the Second Battle of Ypres, about 6,000 cylinders filled with about 160 tonnes of
chlorine gas were opened and the gas made its way over to the French and Algerian lines. At first, the
French thought it was a smoke screen and that the Germans were advancing towards them, but they
were wrong. It was chlorine gas which would damage their respiratory organs and cause violent
choking attacks. Back on the German lines, barely anybody expected this assault to be so successful
and were not prepared to advance onto the French and Algerian lines while their troops were amidst
panic and fear caused by the chlorine gas. Despite their unpreparedness, the Germans still advanced,
but with a lack of self assurance and confidence. Before this attack, Fritz Haber was not supported
very much, but seeing as how

Comparing Dreams In Death Of A Salesman And Fences
In Death of a Salesman and Fences there are many similar things happening between the characters of
both plays. There are many hopes and dreams that are either realistic or wild hopes, regardless none of
the hopes and dreams actually come true. That then leads to affecting the relationships between every
character and usually negatively affecting the hopes and dreams of the next generation while being the
cause behind all of the conflicts that go on and become the reason that the fathers and sons do not get
along. Both plays have extremely forgiving wives, and son(s) that they do not know how to connect to
them so they end up ruining their relationships with them.
Within Death of a Salesman there are many different hopes and dreams between both Willy and Biff.
There hopes and dreams at times go back and forth between being realistic and wild hopes that are so
out there for them that they will never happen, and then goes on to fester until it drives at least Willy
out of his mind because of his secrets as well as the fact that he cannot seem to reach his dream. I

Analyses of Race and Gender Issues in Othello
The discussion of race in Shakespeare s Othello has received a great deal of critical attention. Virginia
Mason Vaughn, in her book Othello: A Contextual History, surveys this critical history, beginning with
Marvin Rosenberg s 1961 book The Masks of Othello (a book documenting the nineteenth century
tendency toward representing Othello as light skinned), and continuing through to Jack D Amico s
1991 book The Moor in English Renaissance Drama. According to Vaughan herself, The effect of
Othello depends . . . on the essential fact of the hero s darkness, the visual signifier of his Otherness

The discourses of Renaissance misogyny can be seen clearly in such pamphlets as Joseph Swetnam s
The Araignment of Lewd, Idle, Froward, and Vnconstatnt Women (1616): For women have a thousand
ways to entise thee, and ten thousand waies to deceiue thee (15); they lay out the foldes of their haire,
to entangle men into their loue; betwixt their brests is the vale of destruction, in their beds there is hell,
sorrow repentance (16); Eagles eat not men till they are dead, but women deuoure them aliue: for a
woman will pick thy pocket, and empty thy purse, laugh in thy face and cut thy throat (16); They will
play the horse leach to suck away thy wealth, but in the winter of thy misery shee will flie away from
thee (16). Women are here figured as deceiving, dishonest, and dangerous creatures concerned solely
with the entrapment and destruction of men. They are portrayed as uncontrollable. The concern over
the sexual fidelity of women in reality a concern for masculine control over feminine sexuality is
reflected in John Raynolds A Defence of the Ivdgement of the Reformed Churches (1610): the truth
deliverd by our Saviour Christ alloweth hime whose wife commiteth fornication, to put her away, and
to marrie another (2); it is lawfull for him who hath put away his wife for whoredome to marrie
another (3).
I do not mean to imply that Renaissance discourses concerning women are exclusively misogynistic;

Clinical Laboratory And Nursing Laboratory
Clinical laboratory, what comes to your mind when you hear that word? Do you think of one
department such as Phlebotomy or many departments? After reading this paper you will have a better
understanding about the departments of the clinical laboratory and what exactly a clinical laboratory
is. There is more than just Phlebotomy when it comes to the clinical laboratory. I ll be explaining what
a clinical laboratory is and seven departments of the clinical laboratory. First, what is a clinical
laboratory? A clinical laboratory is a laboratory with several departments that perform test to help
provide better information to the patient to provide them with a diagnosis, a treatment or even to
prevent disease. So who oversee these labs? One of the monitoring agencies is American society of
clinical laboratory science. They assure reliable test results which contribute to the prevention,
diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of physiological and pathological conditions. In 1988 The Clinical
Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 was inputted. (CLIA 88) This act has divided the clinical
laboratory testing in to waved, moderately complex, and highly complex categories . Waved testing is
a simple and accurate test. Some examples would be pregnancy test, blood glucose test, and also the
urine dipstick test. Moderately complex testing is manual procedures with minimal steps and minimal
preparation. Highly complex testing is including all laboratory testing. There are many positions in

Emergency Medical Technician Accident Identification Report
In the early morning hours of the January 18, 2014, in Wright County, Minnesota there was a deadly
head on collision between an ambulance from Allina Health Emergency Medical Services and another
vehicle. The weather conditions at the time of the incident were described as hazardous with a limited
visibility of approximately thirty yards due to thick heavy snow conditions and a thick blanket of
snow on the road which made road condition hazardous. The unit was transporting a patient to a local
hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment due to medical complaint. The Emergency

When operating an emergency vehicle, the driver must always exercise extreme caution and due
regard for others; especially when forced to operate them in less than ideal conditions such as
inclement weather. The articles author wrote the operator was driving with poor visibility due to heavy
snow conditions, a heavy blanket of snow on the roadway, and at a speed of approximately 35 miles
per hour, but still able to safely control the unit even with the hazardous weather and road conditions.
In addition, he wrote the driver was running over the rubble strips usually found in the outside
emergency lane to ensure he knew the unit s position on the roadway and hopefully to give extra room
to other travelers on the roads that morning. The article was unclear if the red light and siren were
activated during the transport at the time of the incident. I feel the driver of the unit was exercising
due regard for the safety of himself, crew member, patient, and all others they may contact that
dreadful January morning. However, I do believe he should have activated their emergency lights and
further reduced their speed to possibly give himself and other drivers extra reaction time to avoid
collisions of this type. However, I do not believe the recommendations above would have significantly

Christian Worldview Paper 1
Christian Worldview
Liberty University
Steps in Scientific Method
The scientific method is a tool that enables a person to seek out new knowledge, or correct and
integrate new knowledge. It is composed of eight individual steps: which start out with defining a
question, gathering information and resources, form an explanatory hypothesis, test the hypothesis by
performing an experiment and collecting data in a reproducible manner, analyze the data, interpret the
data and draw conclusions that serve as a starting point for new hypothesis, publish results, and ends
with a retest. The steps can be grouped into four different essential elements: operation, observation,
model, and utility function.
The first step in the scientific method ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In order for a person to accurately use the scientific method to gather knowledge and truth from the
Bible a person should have a general Christian worldview. A Christian worldview is any ideology,
philosophy, theology, movement or religion that provides an overarching approach to understanding
God, the world and man s relations to God and the world. (Noebel, D, 1995). In a biblical worldview
the word of God is infallible. The Bible is the foundation of everything Christians say and do. A
person who is living in a secular worldview has beliefs filled with selfish, fallen world ideas that
seductively appeal to the desires of one s flesh. A person with a Christian worldview already has the
answer within their heart. So a person with a Christian worldview is led to look for truth within the
Bible which is revealed to them through revelation. Without the proper worldview, people will be
unable to find truth and knowledge within the Bible. In looking through a lens it is important to
consider the lens that the material was originally created from and intended for. The scientific method
will continue to remain valid, only if analogous worldviews are shared.
The Christian worldview is compatible with the Scientific Method. The Christian Worldview promotes
faith in works and the Scientific Method promotes human intellect to search through God s works.
According to Draper (2003), The history of Science is not a mere record of isolated discoveries; it is a
narrative of

Google Glass, A Wearable Computing Device
Abstract
This report aims to look at how Google Glass, a wearable computing device, contributes to social and
privacy ethical implications. Ethical issues recognised in devices can question the legal rights of a
product. However, a study shows that this device may have an opportunity to enhance the quality of
the surgical industry. If so, should this device still be used amidst the ethical issues?
1 Introduction
1.1 Wearable Technology
Wearable computing is a technology device that can be worn on the human body and often includes
devices that can collect information and may even have motion detectors. Wi Fi or Bluetooth tethering
is used to connect the device with an internet connection. Evolving examples of wearable technology
include smart watches, clothing and jewellery, sports watches, fitness trackers, head mounted displays
and devices that can be implanted in the body.
1.2 Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality (AR) is technology that allows virtual objects to be layered on to the actual
environment in real time. Together, this creates a space called mixed reality. The layers allow detailed
information about the world to be visually present whilst wearing the device. AR browsers can
enhance camera display with information that is relevant to the place you are at. If you point the
device to a building, it can display the details of the building on the building.
2 Defining Ethical Implications
Ethical implications are issues that arise within the invention

First Amendment Rights, Privacy and the Paparazzi
The question of paparazzi threatening privacy and First Amendment rights is often to situational to
argue in a conventional manner, but certainly there are many facets of the issue which can be
addressed in a quite straightforward manner. Celebrities who feel they have the right to privacy in
public places often muddy the waters of this issue. Oddly enough, those celebrities who have chosen
to speak out against what they feel are violations of their privacy most always begin their campaigns
with a large press conference. In other words, they gather together those people they wish to not only

Their print journalist counterparts, who are afforded not only the luxury of editing, but also a few
column inches within which to develop their perception of the story fall into a different category all
together. A photojournalist must ascertain the defining image of a news event as it is happening and
capture it on film. If he or she is doing the job correctly, a reader can get a very good idea of what
happened without even reading the accompanying article. There is no luxury of editing in
photojournalism, the moment is either captured forever, or it isn t. If a fantastic shot is missed, it is
gone forever.
A good freelance photojournalist shoots what he or she knows. A good photojournalist also knows
what will sell. Some photographs really aren t worth taking from a newsworthiness standpoint, but if a
publication is willing to pay enough for them, than they will be taken. Sadly money does rule the
world, and until paparazzi photographers can feed their families without having to take these sorts of
pictures, they will continue to be taken.
It is obvious that one of two things is happening. Either the paparazzi does not threaten privacy and
First Amendment rights, or they do in such a way that the public does not care. The reason for this
goes back to the rich publications that ultimately drive paparazzi photographers to take these pictures.

Industrial Age Vs Renaissance Research Paper
The Industrial Age and the Renaissance are both a time in history that has change throughout the years
of development. When you hear about the Industrial Age you think about the modern world and what
kind of new goods are being produced. The Renaissance was a stepping stone toward the modern
world. Both, the Industrial Age and the Renaissance have extreme differences, but they still hold some
similarities in both time periods. The Industrial Age is a time of change in the economic and social
organizations beginning in 1760. There was mass production, broadcasting began, the running of
electricity became more developed, new medicine to cure certain illnesses, and running water was
made usable. The Renaissance showed their importance through ... Show more content on

It changed for the better in the sense of increasing the water and steam driven machinery, which
allowed for the cost of clothing materials to be lowered. Railroads were being made better along with
other consumer goods. The people started new cultural institutions to better reading and learning. This
is when the first novels and stories were first published. The Industrial Revolution had a lot of
materialism with the material production and machines produced by scientists and industrial
technologist. The Victorian Age is the most popular time in the materialism progress. There were
rising standards of living and technological advances being made everyday. The first telegraph cable
connection was made between Europe and North America. Also, sanitation began to be taking place in
homes, offices, and businesses so that it was possible for the next step, the vaccines, to be made
available to kill illnesses and more germs. A difference between the Industrial Age and the
Renaissance is the architecture. Where the Renaissance used stone and brick and the Industrial Age
started using iron and glass panels that were pre made ready to be put together. With this advancement
it made putting buildings, homes and offices together much quicker and easier. The next big
monumental piece of art is the Eiffel Tower in Paris made by Gustave Eiffel from cast and iron. The
art in the Industrial Age is different in the sense of detail in the oil canvases. There were much more
building, people, color, and action taking place. The Industrial Age had a lot more building

Fiction books have helped me know why people are so worried about bullying. I have read a book
called The Brave when I was in eleventh grade for a free read that showed me how common and

each other in and outside of school so bullying will start to go away. In books that I have read in
school in the past that dealt with bullying were far worse than what people consider bullying today. In
most cases the bullying is on a very serious level in books now a days and could cause the victim a lot
of physical, mental, and emotional harm from what the characters say and do. Bullying inside and

Business Opportunities, Challenges, And Trends Essay
4. Discuss the business opportunities, challenges, and trends prevailing in the Indian ecommerce
market.
The business opportunity for eBay as of right now is not great although there is a lot of potential
growth in the future. In 2014, the Indian ecommerce industry showed a tremendous growth. This
growth is driven by the rapid adoption of technology such as smartphones and tablets (ecommerce in
India Accelerating growth, 2015). There are opportunities for eBay to expand its market and invest
more in the future. But there are also their competitions that they need to worry about. A company like
Amazon is a well known international online shopping superstore where you can buy almost
everything. There are Flipkart and Snapdeal that started their online store in India. eBay is losing its
battle with their competition. For example, eBay Inc. pumped in about `650 crore into the India
business last year. In comparison, Flipkart raised about $1.4 billion from institutional investors in the
last 13 months, while Snapdeal mopped up $1.1 billion in about the same time. Amazon also
announced in that the company will pump in $2 billion into India. Amazon has infused `2,437 crore
into its India arm. (live mint, 2016). Although eBay is not making as much revenue as they wanted the

White Men Vs White Women Essay
Over the history of the United States, we have freed slaves, granted citizenship to people of color,
given women the right to vote, and made many other changes to improve civil rights. Unfortunately,
even today, we are belittling people of different races or genders. We have not abolished the race and
gender laws inside ourselves. Overall, our society has made it harder for some races and genders to
have better social mobility than white men, and sometimes, they never do rise up in wealth, all
because they are a certain race or gender. Most genders and races, because many people think they can
take advantage of other racial and gender groups than any white men, have less respect than white
men.

In society, there are always changes. Whether they are progressive or regressive, they are still
considered changes. As Weinstein states, Because everything is always changing, it is never a simple
matter to decide among those trends and variations, which demand scientific attention and those that
can be safely ignored (Weinstein, 2010). Much like the Four Critical Episodes which involved
millions of people and several organizations over thousands of miles of territory, there is a critical

provided the textbook definition but there are many ways in which trafficking can be carried out.
Despite common misconceptions, trafficking does not require transportation or border crossing, and
physical abuse or restraint does not always occur. The individual s consent is also considered
irrelevant (Project, 2012)!There is labor trafficking in which individuals are acquired through the use
of force, fraud or coercion for the use of labor services (Resettlement, 2012). There are numerous
forms of abusive practices that are linked to labor trafficking. The first is bonded labor or debt
bondage. It is the most widely used method of subjecting individuals to slavery (Resettlement, 2012).
It is usually well hidden and is the least known form of labor trafficking in today s society. Victims of
this form of labor trafficking become indebted to their master . Their labor is demanded as a means of
repayment for a loan or service (Resettlement, 2012). Most never pay off their debt . Another form of
labor that occurs is forced labor. Victims are forced to work against their will, and are threatened by

For example, the Cellnana Radians have flatter shells than the Cellnana Ornata. This is because the
Cellnana Radians are found in the lower tidal zones, meaning only for short amounts each day are
these shells exposed and above water. For this reason, they do not face the hash waves to the same
degree as the limpets that occupy further up the shore. The Cellnana Ornata, found further up the
shore line has a more conical shell, this allows it to be more resistant to the stronger waves it endures,
as the energy from the waves has more surface area to be disturbed over. (Creature of the

Aristotle Piety
Aristotle argues there is a hierarchy to being; meaning some things are more fundamental than others.
He believes there must be something on which everything else depends, and this can be understood by
examining definition. A perfect definition should list just those things without which the subject could
not exist without. This passage applies to Aristotle s argument because it deals with clarifying the
definition of piety . Socrates says ..you didn t teach me adequately earlier when I asked what the pious
was, but you told me that what you re now doing is pious.. , which aligns with what Aristotle was
saying about people (in this case, Euthyphro) suggesting an equivalent notion rather than
understanding the basic principle of their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this conversation, they are separating and attempting to define and order the body and the soul
based on importance. Socrates and Cebes agree that the body is mortal and sinful, and the soul is
immortal and divine; separating upon the death of the body. Socrates says Look at it also this way:
when the soul and the body are together, nature orders the one to be subject and to be ruled, and the
other to rule and be master. Aristotle may argue that the combination of body and soul is what makes
an entire human, a distinct third being, with no one mastering the other. Socrates and Cebes are
separating two parts of the human and failing to acknowledging the one whole as an individual and
complete entity.
To Aristotle, this theory is a declaration of the importance of universals over particulars. For example,
Aristotle argues that the universal notion of beauty and justice originate from observable examples of
beauty and justice in this world. This contrasts with Plato s argument that beauty and justice exist only
because they participate in the universal Form of Beauty or Justice. Aristotle s assertion is that we can
only conceptualize beauty by observing instances of beauty, and the universal quality of beauty does
not exist beyond this

Four Rules to Being Short
Rule #1: Do not EVER try to reach for something high if you can just barely touch it with your
fingertips. I say this because you ll have to stretch as much as you can and eventually you ll feel like
you pulled something in your foot. Trust me, if this happens to you, then it will take a while for your
foot to stop hurting so if need be, climb or use a step stool. It doesn t have to be a certain thing. Use a
chair or wood block maybe. As long as you can step up on it, reach what you need, and not have a fear
of falling over then it s a step stool. Now, don t go about stepping on just anything. Don t even try to
put all your weight on something that might break under you. I don t even need to tell you the
consequences on that. Either you already know it, or you can figure it out on your own. Reaching
things in upper cabinets presents a unique set of challenges. Have you ever tried climbing on the
counter at 6:30 in the morning? It s a death trap waiting to happen, but if you re short and hungry, you
ll take your chances. First off, you have to jump up and be able to hold yourself while you lift your
legs and plant them under you so you sit on your knees. This is so that you can elevate yourself if you
still can t reach what you want. Obviously, opening the cabinet door is tricky because you re right in
front of it so you have to be careful about how you bend so there is room to open it up. At this point,
you have a high risk of falling backwards so make sure

The Technology Of Driverless Cars Essay
Driverless Cars also known as, autonomous vehicles, seem to be the next big thing when it comes to
the future advancement of cars. In fact, Autonomous automobile test models have been on the road
since 2009, so far driving hundreds of thousands of miles without an accident (McDonald 6). Since
driverless cars are seeming to become a real thing in the future to come there s multiple questions on
how people feel about driverless cars. Is it a good thing? A bad thing? How will it affect our society in
years to come? Many people will argue that the technology of driverless cars is a bad idea and will
affect our society negatively in years to come. I argue that point and believe that companies should
introduce the technology of driverless cars because, it will have a positive impact on, not only cars,
but society in general in the mere future. When it comes to driverless cars and the impact that the
technology could bring, I m talking about the impact within people s safety, the users convenience in
mobility , the economy, and the technological advances in the car itself. That s just a couple ways that
a driverless car can be positive. In fact, Thomas Frey, a futurist who researches and understands fully
about the concept of driverless vehicles states that, there s many aspects of driverless cars that are
overwhelmingly positive (Frey 39). When it comes to people s safety, driverless cars could be safer
than people driving in an operated car. In the United States, the

Compare And Contrast The 50 s
The 1950 s known for its greaser styles, doo wop music, and breakthrough rebilous movies, the 50 s
have remained memorable decades after its passing. Its styles and morals have continued to be an
inspiration and find admiration even in today s life. The 2000 s technicolor, technological, techno you

spectacular special effects in movies; with such drastic differences, how could the 1950s and the
2000s be even remotely the same? Taking a closer look into the movies produced then, how they
portrayed gender roles, familial structures, and social norms, we discover the similarities and
differences between these two eras. The 50s may be better of referred to as the simple minded times.

When I watch a movie from the 50s, the first thing I notice is the way they talk and sound. It is
unusual for me and my generation to adjust to that weird old timey voice. It sounds a little like a blend
between American English and a form of British English. This type of pronunciation is called the
Transatlantic, or Mid Atlantic, accent. It doesn t naturally evolving, the Transatlantic accent was
acquired. This means that people in the United States were taught to speak in this voice. Historically
Transatlantic speech was the hallmark of aristocratic America and theater. In upper class boarding
schools across New England, students learned the Transatlantic accent as an international norm for
communication, similar to the way posh British society used Received Pronunciation essentially, the
way the Queen and aristocrats are taught to speak. In addition to that In the 50 s people and the

Sarah Sorenson Narrative
I learned it too late. Everyone s life matters, even mine. Or at least it did, but now I have no life. I was
ready to give up when I took that bottle of pills, but The Angel knew me better. When I finally left my
human body, The Angel was the one who gave me a new life, a new body, and a new purpose: save
them. In my past life, I was Sarah Sorenson. I was a pretty, popular teenage girl who could turn heads
just by breathing. I was that one girl everyone either wanted to be or be with. To everyone, I had the
perfect life, although no one saw who I truly was. Growing up in New York City, it is easy for people
to just look at the outside and not care what is going on in the inside. No one saw the girl who was top
of her class, or the musical genius, they only saw the cheerleader who went shopping every weekend
on 5th Avenue and dated the cutest guy at school. No one saw the girl who only wanted her life to end,
not until she was already gone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

headstone is scattered with flowers in a variety of freshness. Sarah Sorenson. Princess Princess.
The only thing more heartbreaking than the truth behind the names is the dates on each stone. After
each name I read, I can still see a face from my human memories, smiling, or laughing; always happy.
I clutch my stomach as I fall to my knees with grief and sob for all the lives lost. I cry for the families

As a research from International Journal of Business and Management about a company stopped its automatic salary increments says that the employees of the company were not happy with that scheme and the company tries to give training to them about that bonus scheme. So the company ordered all the HODs (Head of Departments) to educate their respective departments on the benefits of the new bonus scheme. After the training those employees get enough education about the new bonus system and they agreed to the new system. And they were motivated to work harder (Akinlolu Ayodeji Agboola amp; Rafiu Oyesola Salawu 2011). Participation can be used to satisfy the workers, as when workers are participated and involved in decision making process then they will have understanding that the organization needs them and value their work. If the people actively participate they will be more likely to feel ownership of the change and will be less likely to resist. When the employees are involved and participated in planning and implementing the change process will have better understanding towards the changes. Participation of managers and employees to the change approach will be able to manage resistance to change quicker (Rosemond Boohene amp; Asamoah Appiah Williams 2012). When employees are involved in the change effort they are more likely to buy into change rather than resist it. This approach is likely to lower resistance ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Setting Up More Of Victoria s Ordinary World The opening sets the tone, but consider setting up more of Victoria s ordinary world. Make the point that her philosophy of therapy is different than her husband, but then move on. An alternative to consider is to make Victoria the opposite. She believes that therapy can only help a patient go so far, and that she advocates for medication. This would give her a stronger character arc, as she realizes her own philosophy about treatment changes. Consider making the goal more specific and focus on one major patient. Create the story of the imaginary friend to be more compelling and mysterious. So, if the goal is to help Donald, make his story more captivating and stay focused on this story. Make it more suspenseful and peel away the mystery. Try to create a twist. Consider moving up what Slice says, Dead spirits walkin around don t make no sense unless you feel what they re after. They want something. This seems to be what Victoria needs to figure out (the goal) from Donald or her client (kids). Clearly identify what is at stake for Victoria. If she s not able to help her client her career will be ruined. Don t be overly dramatic about, but make it clear. Perhaps her client comes from a wealthy family and warns her if she damages the client, she ll never work again. If the major mystery has a twist ending, make sure to put Victoria in jeopardy. While her sanity is in jeopardy, in most thrillers, the climax involves a physical danger to the hero. So if she unravels a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Klansville USA Summary Klansville U.S.A., is a book written about how the Ku Klux Klan thrived and how it eventually died off. The book really interested it me because the focus of the location was in my home state, North Carolina. David Cunningham writes, By the summer of 1964, the Carolina Klan started a grueling schedule of nightly rallies across the state, where they enlisted thousands of dues paying members. More than that, at its mid 1960s peak the Klan s presence in North Carolina eclipsed klan membership in all other southern states combined. North Carolina tried to hide the fact of how much the KKK had expanded in the state. Klan is lowercased because of how disorganized Cunningham thought of the KKK. In the 1960s, North Carolina was most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mississippi had Ross Barnett and the Citizens Councils, Alabama had George Wallace, South Carolina had Strom Thurmond, but North Carolina disguised its segregationist policies behind the rhetoric of moderation and goodwill. The ranting and raving were left not to those in power but to those on the outside. Cunningham puts it this way: The broad political arena that circumscribed the public articulation of racial interests also shaped the resonance of the klan s racist appeals and militant brand of resistance, and: States that adopted a more moderate stance had few outlets for staunch segregationists. In those settings, and especially where whites perceived their economic and political well being as tied to racial separation, the UKA filled a void, providing in some cases the only organized means for uncompromising resistance to federal ... • 5. The Brain Is An Ever Elusive Thing The brain is an ever elusive thing. There are so many mysteries still waiting to be discovered or unlocked. Memory seemed an appropriate topic for this class as it is a necessity to completing it successfully. This research paper will explain how the brain uses synapses to store certain memories while others may be lost and how proteins play a major role in this process and could be the answer to solving memory problems in the future. To start, it is important to understand how memory storage occurs. After a series of experiments conducted from 1958 2000, by Dr. Eric R Kandel and numerous colleagues, using a radical reductionist approach, he found evidence for several theories. First, our research suggests that the cellular and molecular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Based on his first conclusion, when it comes to short term memories, synaptic connections in the brain are modified by small changes in proteins. Long term memories require that new proteins be formed, gene expression be stimulated and new connections be synthesized. Implicit memory is a type of memory in which previous experiences aid the performance of a task without conscious awareness of these previous experiences. Explicit memory is the conscious, intentional recollection of previous experiences and information. Storing of implicit and explicit memories can follow different processes. Different signaling is necessary when storing implicit memories vs. explicit memories in the short term. However, the storage of implicit and explicit memories in the long term, follows the same specific signaling pathway. Based on his second conclusion, different modularity transmitters are used depending on which type of learning you are engaged in. These transmitters act in several different ways. They can either activate, regulate, or mediate. If they activate, they trigger the enzyme kinase, which then reports to the nucleus to aid in the growth of neurons and long term memory. If they regulate, they monitor protein synthesis that is required in order to stabilize the synapses for long term storage. Finally, mediation is the least understood process. What is known, is that it is necessary in recollecting specific memories and memory production. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Brain and Behavior of Men and Women Essay If we were to examine a high school calculus classroom or the staff at an engineering program of a college or university, chances are that the male to female ratio would be significantly skewed. Why are women and men so different in their choices and behavior? The brunt of popular opinion focuses on the environmental cues that lead to our distinct behaviors. But is there also an innate biological basis to the choices and differing abilities between men and women? Cognitive functioning or brain processing differences in the two genders has been a point of interest and contention for many years. The purpose of this essay is to explore if neuroanatomical and genetic differences between males and females play a role in the development of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Contrary to popular belief, gender and anatomical sex refer to two distinct and separate constructs as each develops at different times and in different parts of the body. John Money coined the phenomenon that codes for masculinity or femininity as Gendermaps (1). At a very early age and through an interaction of both nature and nurture, this gendermap imprint is established. What makes gender identification and sex so frequently parallel to each other is that gendermap evolvement is notably also induced by hormones that emanate from the developing fetus (1). Behavioral Differences: Though there are many similarities in the cognitive abilities of men and women, there are also discernible differences. For the most part, the behavioral differences between the intellectual capacities of the sexes have to do more with patterns of ability than the actual intellectual capacity (3). For one, attention and perception differ early on. Baby girls have been noted to gaze longer at objects than baby boys. Later they rely on landmarks and memory for guidance. Boys on the other hand, have a better visual spatial ability such as aiming at stationary or moving targets and detecting minor movements in their visual fields more easily. The fact that males perform better in navigation seems to agree with the possible theory that evolutionarily, many of these abilities would have been important for survival in the time of ... Well that is a simple question to most, they cheer. Yes they do cheer, but cheerleaders do way more than most people think. They define gravity. Cheerleadings roots are closely tied to American football s. The first intercollegiate game was played in 1869, between Princeton University and Rutgers University in New Jersey, and by the 1880s ( varsity.com ). • 14. Update the Recurring Sin Tax Law that Was Newly... Rationale of the Study This study was drawn to update the recurring sin tax law that was newly implemented by the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino by assessing its effect to the consumers of sin products and has given fruitful grounds and suggestions for future research in this field. In belief, the purpose of the imposition of excise tax on sin products is to raise revenues and discouraging the consumption of the tobacco products and alcoholic beverages. It is claimed that higher excise taxes on tobacco will make some smokers to quit, and reduce consumption of continuing smokers, and prevent others from starting (Sunley, 2009). Because the demand for cigarettes is relatively price inelastic, the expectation is that higher taxes will yield higher revenues in the near term while preventing smoking in the longer term. If a tax is imposed on a good, verbally express excise taxes on alcohol or tobacco, it may possibly have influenced the decision of how many to consume and make efficiency cost (Badenes Plá Jones, 2003). In contrast, according to McGee (2000), liquor and cigarettes are had insensitive to changes of price that many of the consumers of sin products continue to buy it regardless of the increase in its prices. Then, it becomes usual that there will be a protest on excise tax for the reason that this sin tax law will not cause a reduction to their demand in sin products. Seeing the sticks in my hand the two strangers introduced themselves and asked if I was playing in a band right now. The two were David Koresh and his right man Steve Schneider. They gave their card and I promptly handed it back. The backside was full of Bible verses. You ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One irony of the Waco disaster, is that the right wing extremists and racists looked to Mount Carmel as a beacon; if they realized that so many of us were Black, Asian, and Latino, and that we despised their hateful politics and anger, they would probably feel bitterly betrayed. It was as if the community was an isolated bubble of a perfect world, where all races, colors, and creeds, lived and worshiped God together in perfect harmony, and I was glad to be a part of it. Now that is how I met my best friend, and the man who turned my life around and directed me toward God. Many a times he told me stories of his life before, his talks with God, and before becoming a deciphile of Jesus Christ. David was born in 1955 in a small town on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, to a single mother. Never knowing his father and his mother not wanting the responsibility he was mainly raised by his grandparents. He said his childhood was lonely, greatly contributed from the fact that he dropped out of high school at a very early age. Most of his days were of studying music and the Bible by himself. At the age of 20, he started going to different churches speaking his mind, which was slightly different than what these churches were used to, and was eventually asked to leave. After this he roamed, taking spot jobs for cash to get him to Hollywood so that he could become a rock star, but this also failed. He drifted back to Texas, where he ... One of the more known use of a chemical weapon was at the Second Battle of Ypres in April 1915. 160 tonnes of chlorine gas was released onto the French and Algerian troops. This could be considered the starting point in chemical warfare as it was the first large scale deployment of a chemical gas meant for harm. As more and more chemical weapons were developed, more and more countries followed the trend. The use of chlorine gas in trench warfare was first developed by Fritz Haber in 1914 as of help to the German army. At the Second Battle of Ypres, about 6,000 cylinders filled with about 160 tonnes of chlorine gas were opened and the gas made its way over to the French and Algerian lines. At first, the French thought it was a smoke screen and that the Germans were advancing towards them, but they were wrong. It was chlorine gas which would damage their respiratory organs and cause violent choking attacks. Back on the German lines, barely anybody expected this assault to be so successful and were not prepared to advance onto the French and Algerian lines while their troops were amidst panic and fear caused by the chlorine gas. There are many hopes and dreams that are either realistic or wild hopes, regardless none of the hopes and dreams actually come true. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 116). In order for a person to accurately use the scientific method to gather knowledge and truth from the Bible a person should have a general Christian worldview. A Christian worldview is any ideology, philosophy, theology, movement or religion that provides an overarching approach to understanding God, the world and man s relations to God and the world. (Noebel, D, 1995). In a biblical worldview the word of God is infallible. The Bible is the foundation of everything Christians say and do. A person who is living in a secular worldview has beliefs filled with selfish, fallen world ideas that seductively appeal to the desires of one s flesh. A person with a Christian worldview already has the answer within their heart. So a person with a Christian worldview is led to look for truth within the Bible which is revealed to them through revelation. Without the proper worldview, people will be unable to find truth and knowledge within the Bible. In looking through a lens it is important to consider the lens that the material was originally created from and intended for. The scientific method will continue to remain valid, only if analogous worldviews are shared. The Christian worldview is compatible with the Scientific Method. The Christian Worldview promotes faith in works and the Scientific Method promotes human intellect to search through God s works. • 24. Google Glass, A Wearable Computing Device Abstract This report aims to look at how Google Glass, a wearable computing device, contributes to social and privacy ethical implications. Ethical issues recognised in devices can question the legal rights of a product. However, a study shows that this device may have an opportunity to enhance the quality of the surgical industry. If so, should this device still be used amidst the ethical issues? 1 Introduction 1.1 Wearable Technology Wearable computing is a technology device that can be worn on the human body and often includes devices that can collect information and may even have motion detectors. Wi Fi or Bluetooth tethering is used to connect the device with an internet connection. Evolving examples of wearable technology include smart watches, clothing and jewellery, sports watches, fitness trackers, head mounted displays and devices that can be implanted in the body. 1.2 Augmented Reality Augmented Reality (AR) is technology that allows virtual objects to be layered on to the actual environment in real time. Together, this creates a space called mixed reality. The layers allow detailed information about the world to be visually present whilst wearing the device. AR browsers can enhance camera display with information that is relevant to the place you are at. If you point the device to a building, it can display the details of the building on the building. 2 Defining Ethical Implications Ethical implications are issues that arise within the invention ... Much like the Four Critical Episodes which involved millions of people and several organizations over thousands of miles of territory, there is a critical issue growing larger right underneath our noses. Well, I provided the textbook definition but there are many ways in which trafficking can be carried out. Despite common misconceptions, trafficking does not require transportation or border crossing, and physical abuse or restraint does not always occur. The individual s consent is also considered irrelevant (Project, 2012)!There is labor trafficking in which individuals are acquired through the use of force, fraud or coercion for the use of labor services (Resettlement, 2012). There are numerous forms of abusive practices that are linked to labor trafficking. The first is bonded labor or debt bondage. He believes there must be something on which everything else depends, and this can be understood by examining definition. A perfect definition should list just those things without which the subject could not exist without. This passage applies to Aristotle s argument because it deals with clarifying the definition of piety . Aristotle may argue that the combination of body and soul is what makes an entire human, a distinct third being, with no one mastering the other. Socrates and Cebes are separating two parts of the human and failing to acknowledging the one whole as an individual and complete entity. To Aristotle, this theory is a declaration of the importance of universals over particulars. For example, Aristotle argues that the universal notion of beauty and justice originate from observable examples of beauty and justice in this world. This contrasts with Plato s argument that beauty and justice exist only because they participate in the universal Form of Beauty or Justice. Use a chair or wood block maybe. As long as you can step up on it, reach what you need, and not have a fear of falling over then it s a step stool. Now, don t go about stepping on just anything. Don t even try to put all your weight on something that might break under you. I don t even need to tell you the consequences on that. This is so that you can elevate yourself if you still can t reach what you want. Since driverless cars are seeming to become a real thing in the future to come there s multiple questions on how people feel about driverless cars. Is it a good thing? A bad thing? How will it affect our society in years to come? Many people will argue that the technology of driverless cars is a bad idea and will affect our society negatively in years to come. I argue that point and believe that companies should introduce the technology of driverless cars because, it will have a positive impact on, not only cars, but society in general in the mere future. When it comes to driverless cars and the impact that the technology could bring, I m talking about the impact within people s safety, the users convenience in mobility , the economy, and the technological advances in the car itself.
