I will also be using CS5 as well as Photoshop this year to develop my skills.Post production- What software did you use to create your production?-Discuss specific features of the software.-Flash mic-Garage band-Final CutSpecific features such as the razor tool in final cut helped me to use different shots in the film and using effects helped it run so smoothly as one shot changed to the next.-I was able to sync music from garage band to final cut to edit and create a horror genre.I will use the razor tool such more specifically making sure the cuts are to the beat of the music. I will expand my skills of Final Cut by using much more skilful effectsResearch and Planning –What tasks did you complete when preparing to film your sequence?-How did your planning help smooth progression of your film?-Researching similar products looking at the horror genre in depth.-Titles timeline-Risk assessment-Story boardsI was able to discover the typical conventions of a horror film and discover what elements I needed in the film to make it look professional like the titles which come on at specific points.I am going to look at much more primary research this year and in depth to discover what specific parts I want in my video. -I am also going to research more than one piece of media as I have to design a digipak, advert and music video. Using conventions of real media texts –which texts did you analyse?-Did you take any inspiration from the conventions found from your research?I looked at various horrors films which are specifically famous for there notorious elements such as Nightmare on Elme street and Saw.-This helped me create my narrative for my video using aspects from Saw to create a difficult and twisted plot. - Also using the beginning sequence similar to Nightmare on Elme street not making a lot of sense and having various shots together.I will look much further in depth into getting information and ideas for my music video that shows various skills that I will be able to use to show various skills and interpretation or theories.Creativity-were our ideas for your portfolio imaginative and unique or did you adhere to conventions? For our video we stuck to the typical conventions of horror and created them in a horror film. The film also has ideas from certain action films from the fast paste shots taken at the end of the sequence when at a gripping part.This hopefully helped cause tension in the horror sequence and helped develop the storyline yet still scare the viewers with the typical conventions such as blood and a knife involved in the sequence. I will look much more closely into involving typical conventions of the pop genre to be involved in my video with aspects, which have interpretations that the viewers can make from the typical conventions. I will also hope to use more of my own ideas for the video. <br />
