1. WORKING EXPERIENCE:
(i) Working as the Head of Special Project at Hairu Engineering Consultancy (pvt) Ltd
and as the General Manager at Bio Energy Solution (pvt) Ltd, since May 2013 up to
now. Successfully completed a 2.5MW Biomass power plant and now planning a 12.5
MW coal power plant for Comoros Island which is in design stage. Project planning
face was completed for Corrugated carton box factory, Polythene manufacturing plant
and tin can manufacturing plant in Comoros.
(ii) Worked as the Project Engineer at Ruhunu Foods (Pvt) Ltd Kandy and undertaken a
tasks of upgrading small scale operation of their Food Processing Plant of the company
in Kandy to upgrade its operation to a medium scale operation by successfully
completing a process re-engineering project with modern processing technology to
improve and achieve the quality and quantity of final finished goods while improving
the food safety and quality.(from 2011 to 2012)

2. (iii) Worked as the Maintenance Engineer at Samartex Timber Corporation (One major
German company in West Africa) In Ghana (From 2008 to 2010).
The entire operation of the 2.5 MW steam power plant together with Ply Mill HPHW
system to run the Samartex Plywood factory. This system consists of four 7 ton
biomass boilers and two 1.25MW Steam turbines.
I was In -charge for the ply mill and hogging section maintenance. In addition I worked
as the acting Chief Engineer for 3 months till I resign the Smartex.
(iv) Worked as the Project Engineer at Diana Biscuit Manufactures (Pvt) Ltd, Matale
(from 2006 to 2007). Full time involved in a project to complete New Biscuit
Manufacturing Factory Complex project at Nalanda Industrial park.
This total project cost is 850 million Rs which includes 1200 kg/hr capacity biscuit line,
25MT of LPG station, Fire hydrant system, ETP system, 500 and 100kva power backup
generators together with 166m long factory building complex including General office,
Facility block and stores complex, Road system and electrical distribution system with
street lighting system. Involved in production line installation, commissioning and test
running of all supporting systems..
(v) Worked as the Project Engineer at Ceylinco Group from 01st
September 2005 to 31st
August 2006. Successfully completed a 2000kg/hr rice milling plant including two-
story factory building with all facilities.
(vi) Worked as the Manager-Maintenance at BioFood (Pvt)Ltd. Gampola, leading
manufacture and exporter of certified organic black tea, green tea and spices.
(From 2003 – 2004).
Maintenance of tea manufacturing machineries, Steam boilers, Generators, Air
compressors, commercial dryers together with maintaining entire factory building
complex. Involved in designing new machineries and equipments to improve the
productivity. Involved in Tea factory complex design & construction project including
Setting up of new tea manufacturing production line with plant and machinery
installation, commissioning for high grown tea manufacturing factory.
(vii) Worked as the Mechanical Engineer at Sevanagala Sugar Industries Ltd., Since 23rd
November 1999 to 30th
April 2004.
As a Shift Engineer my duties included maintenance of steam and diesel power
generators, High and low pressure steam Boilers, Air compressors, Pumps ,
Evaporators, Vacuum pans, Agitators, Conveyers, driers and number of other types of
machineries to ensure quality production during the crushing season. During the off-
season I worked as the Boiler Engineer for annual maintenance and modifications in
boilers.
(viii) Worked as the Maintenance Engineer at Nippon Maruchi Lanka Electronics (Pvt)
Ltd. (ISO 9002 certified),at Homagama from 1st
September 1998 to 22nd
November
1999. My duties include maintenance of semi automatic and fully automatic machines
and number of pneumatically operated machines, Air compressors and the building
complex of NMLE.

3. 2. CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
(i) : Modified a semiautomatic robot machine to reduce the defective level from 25% to
1% by changing the program at Nippon Maruchi Lanka Electronics.
(ii) :Design of a front in loader to a tractor to have effective bagasse feeding to the
Boilers ,which help to reduce the use of Furnace oil at Sevanagala Sugar industries
(iii) :Design of new inter carrier system to the sugar mill to reduce the Break down level
which is being function very economically at Sevanagala Sugar industries ltd.
(iv) : Design of a fire wood chipping machine to use fire wood as a boiler fuel during the
off-season in sugar industry to supply power to the national grid at Sevanagala Sugar
industries ltd.
(v) : Design of a nutmeg desheller machine to local spice production at Bio Food (Pvt)
Ltd. Gampola.
(vi) : Design and fabrication of 25 Bucket elevators under ceylinco group.
(vii) : Rehabilitation of three 7 ton steam boilers by replacing all super heater tubes And
water tubes together with all other related jobs.
