the semester for me when introspection is often ignored. While other classes seem
to be on the downward slope to finals, I feel I haven t quite summited this writing

paced deadlines between articles. If the goal has to been to break a writer down,
then it has undoubtedly been achieved. Instead of the demands of the class
sharpening my pen and fine tuning my words, I m starting to see my words as a
jumbled mess of incoherent thoughts. My papers have become an alphabet soup I
try to arrange to convey my thoughts and link the themes I see. But the more I
write, the less letters there are to choose from. I ve desperately wanted to learn
how to improve my writing, but the more I learn the more I realize the affliction I

Oral Culture Of The Late Middle Ages
Given the prevalence of books, magazines, and newspapers in everyday life today, it
is difficult to imagine a world without print. The transition from the essentially oral
culture of the late Middle Ages to the print culture of the Renaissance fundamentally
changed human interaction. In Western society, the invention of the printing pressand
subsequent widespread literacy signaled the shift away from a primarily oral culture
to a literate, print culture. Many scholars, including Plato and Harold Innis, have
suggested that the advantages of an oral culture exceed those of a print culture. Even
further, the past few decades have seen calls to orality, or propositions that we must
return to oral culture to balance print culture. As seen through a lens of the history of
print culture, the benefits of literacy and a predominantly print culture outweigh the
benefits of an oral culture because of the impact print has had on standardized
language and national consciousness, the field of science and accuracy, and the quick
dissemination of information and dialogue. Through a comparison of advancements
during the Print Revolution and current features of modern society, I will argue that
there is no need to re embrace orality because elements of oral culture already exist in
our modern print culture.

upbringing of her first child. We see she is guilty of neglect towards Emily and is
distressed due to poor decisions that she had made rearing her daughter. The mother
reflects on the past and thinks that her actions and lack of might have affected Emily.
She is so engulfed in what ifs and how could I s that she is practically beating herself

Guilt is a very strong emotion and is very hard to deal with; the mother obviously

Jane Austen, in her book Pride and Prejudice, ignores that fact that, at the time,

were inferior to the men and makes many of the female character dominate to the
male
characters which causes her novel to become of like a feminist novel. Some of the
female
characters include Elizabeth, Mrs. Bennet, Lady Catherine, Lydia, Jane, Miss Darcy,
Caroline,
and Miss Bingley just to name a few. The male characters on the other hand include

I visited the National Museum of Mexican Art to find out more about the art and
culture of Mexico. An interesting exhibit found in the museum is called Nuestra
Historias: Stories of Mexican Identity from the Permanent Collection. The exhibit
displays various artworks from the 18th through the 20th century. The purpose of the
exhibit is to show how the Mexican identity has been altered throughout time and
different regions. After the Mexican Revolution, modern Mexican artists were
significant figures who positively impacted the Mexican government and politics. Art
and culture greatly shaped Mexicobecause it also joined people together. The visit to
the museum gave me an extensive understanding of how Mexican artwork shaped

people in various fields of work. When I first read this assignment, I knew exactly
who I wanted to interview. Indeed, out of all the people I ve worked alongside with,

My Position On A Statewide Bathroom Policy
In the endeavor to fully describe my position on this particular issue, it is my wish
to begin with a short introduction to the history of myself. I am a straight, married
man with many friends from all walks of life. These friends happen to include
