Hygiene is important for several reasons. It positively impacts personal self-esteem and confidence by promoting a healthy body image. Good hygiene also signals a well-balanced diet that maintains healthy hair, skin, nails and teeth. Proper hygiene like hand washing helps prevent the spread of illnesses. Additionally, hygiene affects social and job opportunities because first impressions matter and are often based on appearance within the first few minutes of meeting. Maintaining good hygiene is beneficial for both physical and mental well-being.

 Introduction: It is very important to understand and
applied hygiene, or hygienic, it refers to the set of practices
perceive by a community to be associated with the
preservation of health and healthy living. Why is it
important?
 It is necessary for many reasons:
 Personal self –steem, confidence and motivation can be
altered by our body image often reflected on our ability to
care for ourselves and keep good hygiene practices
 Healthy hair, skin and nails are signs of good well-balanced
diet and can give us confidence in everyday life

2.  A bright white smile with
clean and healthy teeth can
endear people to us, where as
brown unhealthy teeth can
cause embarrassment and can
alter our sense of well being

3.  Health reason-hand washing
cannot be emphasized
enough as this simple action
can prevent illness and
disorders developing, many
people forget to wash their
hands after using the toilet or
before handling foods: these
deeds can cause a great deal
of illness and even death

4.  Social reasons-most people
hate to be talked about,
especially in a negative
manner.

5.  Psychological issues-by being well
presented, clean and tidy, people
can more confident especially in
social situations. Many job
interviews and such like a highly
dependent of hygiene as many
decisions are made by first
impressions within a few minutes
of meeting, these decision are
often made in the sub-conscious.
Our chances for succeeding either
in work or social settings or even
with the opposite sex can be
altered by our maintenance of
hygiene

6.  So it is important to maintain
hygiene because “cleanliness
is next to goodliness” and
remember “health is wealth”.
