What do you truly call a healthy diet? A proper diet should make you feel good, feel alive. If it doesn't, then this presentation is for you.
Here is a detailed presentation on how greatly can eating 'good' impact your everyday life. It explains, what is meant by eating healthy and why do we deem certain food as 'calorie burner', while others as 'calorie adders'.
There are reasons beyond heart health to reduce sugar intake. Excessive sugar intake, especially from sweetened beverages, has been linked with higher calorie intake, higher body weight, and lower intake of vitamins and minerals. Therefore, in this Chinese New Year, I upload my slide for public to increase their awareness in scaling back sugar intake during this festive season.
Presentation covers the chapter in CBSE curriculum in detail about forms of nutrients and where we can get those.
PPT can be coupled with relevant worksheets from the syllabus.

As defined by World Health Organization (WHO), it is a "State of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
Health is a dynamic condition resulting from a body's constant adjustment and adaptation in response to stresses and changes in the environment for maintaining an inner equilibrium
called homeostasis.
One of the main things for Diabetic diet in diabetes treatment is Glycemic index of food. If the Glycemic index of the food is higher it gives more strain on insulin receptors. So that sharply rises in blood sugar. If the glycemic index of the food is lowerit gives less strain on insulin receptors as a result blood sugar in control.
We at Diet kundali provide proper diet plan with diabetes treatment.

Defecation
Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool toward the anus. When stool reaches the rectum, the distention causes relaxation of the internal sphincter and an awareness of the need to defecate. At the time of defecation, the external sphincter relaxes, and abdominal muscles contract, increasing intrarectal pressure and forcing the stool out
The Valsalva maneuver exerts pressure to expel faeces through a voluntary contraction of the abdominal muscles while maintaining forced expiration against a closed airway. Patients with cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, increased intracranial pressure, or a new surgical wound are at greater risk for cardiac dysrhythmias and elevated blood pressure with the Valsalva maneuver and need to avoid straining to pass the stool.
Normal defecation is painless, resulting in passage of soft, formed stool
CONSTIPATION
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Improper diet, reduced fluid intake, lack of exercise, and certain medications can cause constipation. For example, patients receiving opiates for pain after surgery often require a stool softener or laxative to prevent constipation. The signs of constipation include infrequent bowel movements (less than every 3 days), difficulty passing stools, excessive straining, inability to defecate at will, and hard feaces
IMPACTION
Fecal impaction results from unrelieved constipation. It is a collection of hardened feces wedged in the rectum that a person cannot expel. In cases of severe impaction the mass extends up into the sigmoid colon.
DIARRHEA
Diarrhea is an increase in the number of stools and the passage of liquid, unformed feces. It is associated with disorders affecting digestion, absorption, and secretion in the GI tract. Intestinal contents pass through the small and large intestine too quickly to allow for the usual absorption of fluid and nutrients. Irritation within the colon results in increased mucus secretion. As a result, feces become watery, and the patient is unable to control the urge to defecate. Normally an anal bag is safe and effective in long-term treatment of patients with fecal incontinence at home, in hospice, or in the hospital. Fecal incontinence is expensive and a potentially dangerous condition in terms of contamination and risk of skin ulceration
HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are dilated, engorged veins in the lining of the rectum. They are either external or internal.
FLATULENCE
As gas accumulates in the lumen of the intestines, the bowel wall stretches and distends (flatulence). It is a common cause of abdominal fullness, pain, and cramping. Normally intestinal gas escapes through the mouth (belching) or the anus (passing of flatus)
FECAL INCONTINENCE
Fecal incontinence is the inability to control passage of feces and gas from the anus. Incontinence harms a patient’s body image

Balanced Diet
Exercise
Sleeping Habits
Clean Environment
Social Relations
5. Balanced Diet
A well-balanced diet provides the right vitamins, minerals
and nutrients to keep the body and mind strong and
healthy.
A balanced diet should include the right amounts of
protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
A balanced diet must include fruits and vegetables, meat,
nuts and fish.
6.
7. Exercising daily keeps our body in shape, active,
healthy and disease free. It also keeps our
heartrate and metabolic activities high.
Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or
help maintain weight loss. When you engage in
physical activity, you burn calories.
Therefore, exercise can be fun, promotes better
sleep, controls weight, improves mood, boosts
energy and prevents diseases.
8.
9.
10. TIPS ON HEALTHY SLEEPING
HABITS

Don’t eat a large meal before bedtime.
Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet.
11. KEEP YOURSELF AND YOUR
ENVIRONMENT CLEAN
Why do we need to clean environment?
This is our home. It’s where we live, so we better take care of it!
Would you rather live in a polluted dump?
A clean environment is essential for healthy living. The more you
don’t care about our environment, the more it will become polluted
with contaminants and toxins that have a harmful impact on our
health.
Earth is warming. These small changes in the average temperature
can lead to the frequent occurrences of dangerous weather
patterns and devastating storms.
Biodiversity is important. Many of our basic necessities that we need
to survive are provided because of biodiversity
12. Ways you can start maintain
yourself and clean the environment
Environmental problems like climate change and air and water pollution may
sometimes seem unsolvable. But there are many simple and inexpensive things

16. The saying goes that “no man is an island.” While
the fact that humans are social creatures is
well-known and accepted, the effect that
social relationships could have on physical,
mental and emotional health could well be
very much underestimated by most people.
17. How It Affects Physical
Health?
One long-term piece of research found that
persons with the least social ties were twice to
thrice more likely to die of all causes as compared
to those with the highest social connectedness.
“Isolation and loneliness have been shown to
result in immune problems in bereaved individuals
who have recently lost their loved ones,”
Family relationships, friendships, social groups and
group therapy can all help to provide these
supporting elements.
18.
19. How It Affects Mental and
Emotional Health?
Social relationships also play a part in mental and
emotional wellbeing, such as in the case of clinical
depression. For example, in a 2013 study
conducted at the University of Michigan which had
looked at almost 5,000 American adults, it was
found that a person’s risk of major depression
disorder was affected by the quality of his or
her relationships with a spouse, family and
friends, and this was regardless of
the frequency of their social interactions.
20.
21. One of the best examples to show that lack of social relationships
and isolation affect health is WHITE TORTURE.
White torture is a type of psychological torture that includes
includes extreme deprivation and isolation. Carrying out this type of
torture makes the detainee lose personal identity through long
periods of isolation.

27. Conclusion
A well-balanced diet provides the right vitamins,
minerals and nutrients to keep the body and mind
strong and healthy.
Exercise and physical activity are a great way to
feel better, gain health benefits and have fun.
Better sleeping habits will help you have better
concentration, maintain your figure and mood,
and will also extend your life span.
A clean environment improves our memory and
muscle tone, aids circulation, reduces fatigue,
nourishes skin and prevents diseases.
Good social relations help inculcate good habits
and behavior, improves mental health,
