Do you make the job description or does the job description make you? Do you limit the display of your talent based on your job description?
Personal branding is a powerful concept first introduced several years ago by management guru, Tom Peters. It suggests that each person has the opportunity to make an individual and unique impact within their organization via a personal brand.
In the world of HR, this premise could not be more compelling. Due to ever increasing professional
challenges, HR professionals need to operate from a more individually empowered place -- from intentional branding.
Intentional branding can uniquely position each HR professional to be more effective in executing
their responsibilities and is a critical resource to influence strategic partners and nurture business partner confidence.
Overall, a powerful, intentional personal brand can strategically touch every level of an organization creating a positive, constructive ripple effect! A powerful position coupled with great personal power can greatly impact a company's value and profitability! This is the call of the hour for every HR professional!

Personal Branding has become popular only in the recent years, despite its concept having brought out in the open back in the 90s when Tom Peters wrote an article titled, "The Brand Called You," on Fast Company.
Personal Branding coaches and consultants teach professionals and business owners alike to help them stand out from their competition, but why are there still people struggling to get noticed to attract opportunities, be it in the form of a client, a customer, a collaborator, business partner or even an investor.
It lacks that important element need to establish that relationship: The Story.
Our Personal Brand Story is what CONNECTS US to our target audience. Without it, our online personal brand is just another profile that looks like our competitors.
In this presentation, I show you a very simple approach: a 4-STEP PROCESS that will lead you to crafting your Personal Brand EFFECTIVELY.
Learn as well the different common storytelling frameworks to attract your target audience.

Weâve always been an organization with strong values, but scaling our Employer Brand with such rapid growth takes more than a compelling Employer Value Proposition (EVP). We needed to find a way to iterate on our current frameworks. To articulate and capture what makes Hootsuite special, and make it easy for current and future employees to sing from the same sheet of music.
Our answer was to develop an Employer Brand playbook, âA Guide to #HootsuiteLife.â The playbook was developed to share the why, what, and how we approach Employer Brand; including examples of Employer Brand campaigns and how our peeps can bring them to life. Focused primarily on equipping our talent department, we also wanted to build something that our employees felt equally empowered by.
Use this playbook to inspire your own employer brand.
