This document describes a final year project that aims to evaluate the performance of the DSDV routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Specifically, it will: 1) Study how the DSDV protocol works and maintain routing tables through periodic updates. 2) Modify the number of nodes in the MANET and analyze DSDV performance based on metrics like throughput, packet delivery ratio, and end-to-end delay. 3) Use the OMNeT++ simulator along with the INETMANET framework to model the MANET and test DSDV under different network conditions. The results will provide insights into how DSDV scales in larger MANETs.

5. DESTINATION SEQUENCE DISTANCE VECTOR ?
• Is a proactive or table driven routing protocol
• Developed by C.Perkins in 1994
• Bellman ford algorithm
• Each node in the network maintains a routing table including :
a) the next hop
b) the metric
c) the sequence number

6. PROBLEM STATEMENT
For larger network, it is difficult to
maintain routing table because all
nodes in a network maintains
table, it leads to overhead which
consumes more bandwidth.

7. OBJECTIVES
• To study the DSDV routing protocol.
• To modify parameter number of nodes in DSDV.
• To analyze and evaluate DSDV performance in terms of throughput,
packet delivery ratio and end to end delay.
