This study assessed policy and institutional frameworks impacting on vegetable seed production and
distribution systems in Cameroon in order to establish benchmark indicators for successful
integration and/or diversification of vegetables into existing cocoa based farming systems in the
humid tropics of Cameroon. Results reveal that official regulations and other policy instruments
necessary to boost the vegetable seed sector in Cameroon do exist, but need to be re formulated
into more concrete and implementable actions on the ground. The study identified and
characterized two main vegetable seed supply systems namely: the dominant informal system
dealing mainly with traditional vegetable species such as Amaranthus spp (amaranth) and the
formal seed supply system characterised by mostly by the production and sale of globally
important vegetable seed such as Brassica oleracea var. capitata (cabbage). The major constraints
observed in the vegetable seed sub sector include the inadaptability of legal instruments to the
vegetable seed sector, absence of effective storage conditions, absence of seed testing facilities,
poor knowledge on seed production and processing and the heterogeneity of seeds. Consequently,
farmers are obliged to fall back to unimproved seeds to the detriment of agricultural yields.

is pregnant. The whole town finds out and Hester is tried and punished. Meanwhile, Roger
Chillingworth goes out then on a mission to get revenge by becoming a doctor and
misprescribing Dimmesdale. He does this to torture Dimmesdale as a form of revenge. Hester is
publicly punished and is contrived to wear a scarlet letter A on her bosom. This is how she was

Angelina and Sarah Grimke were legends in their lifetime. The sister made history, speaking to
mixed crowds of men and women. They advocated some of the most powerful anti slavery paths,
and the rights to a women s public role. Their movement was not only aimed to end slavery, not to
help racial discrimination throughout the United States. These ideas made them more sincere than
many other reformers who advocated to end to slavery. Other advocates did not believe in equality
for freedom and women. The Grimke sisters were also one of the first abolitionist to recognize the
importance of women s rights, while speaking and writing about the cause of female equality.

People in Philadelphia did not share the same ideas about ambitioning slavery. However, she
later found a small circle of anti slavery advocates. Still, she was uncertain about what she could
do for abolition. She began to attend other anti slavery meeting, that were run by male
abolitionist. In 1835, a violent riot against abolitionist and African Americans in New York and
Philadelphia broke out, and anti slavery pamphlets were burned. William Lloyd Garrison
published an appeal to citizens to stop all violence, and Angelina felt like she had to send the noted
