covers many important aspects necessary to be
successful in this course and more importantly

where you will also HAND IN ALL ASSIGNMENTS. They are also listed
below for you to review briefly before you complete your Course
OVerview Quiz.

find it feel free to talk to/ email your teacher and they will get you sorted out.
If work is completed electronically/ via computer please use classroom to hand it in. IF you are doing things
the old fashioned way, make sure your name is on it, date completed and hand it in to your teacher.

How to Name & Save Assignments in GC

your assignment here…
organize the folder a way that
makes sense for you.)
2. Open an assignment link ie.
Wellness Inventory from GC.
2. Click on File (upper above the
toolbar) and choose Make A

your lifestyle currently is :)
How? Find it on the Introductory Page for
PE10. Complete it and hand it in, use it to
figure out areas of improvement

Requirement #3
EXPLORE: Fitness Activities & Monthly Log
Goal: get you moving or keep you moving while EXPLORING a variety of
activities in the five environments. Completing a total of 75 hours in the time
enrolled in Phys Ed 10, and completing a Monthly Fitness Log & Reflection.
How? Make a goal for yourself for the month, find an adult who can supervise,
go out and participate in various fitness activities, track your hours, and record on
your log. You MUST complete ONE for every month you are enrolled.
There is a SMART goal you must complete, a couple reflection questions and a
picture that are also required with your log.

Monthly Fitness Logs are due by the first FRIDAY of
EACH Month! No logs mean no CREDIT. Please

4 Balanced Living Posts/Videos/Podcasts
Goal: To dig deeper into fitness and to understand it is more
than just about looking good or being in shape. Then to ensure
that you find topics that are meaningful to you and then to share
what you have learned with others.
How? Choose a platform or media type to create your posts.
*Here is a Tips Page and the Project Assignment for you to
review but it is also in the Google Classroom.

Midway Wellness Inventory
Goal: To see how much impact your SMART goals and your
EXPLORATION of the different fitness activities has had on your
personal wellness.
How? Complete the inventory again. Compare it to the one
you completed at the beginning of the course. Reflect on the
changes or lack of changes. Complete in a Google Doc and
hand in to your teacher. Guiding questions to help you in the
GC.

Course Reflection
Goal: To reflect on your experiences and what you have
investigated in this course and come up with some ideas how
you can carry them into your life now and in the future
How? Set up a meeting with Mrs. D (Can be face to face, a
hangout or a facetime.)

CPR First Aid Training
Goal: To become more aware of life saving measures and
safety
How? Participate in the session created for you by your
teacher

Summary
● All the information you need is in GC
● If you have questions email your teacher once you have checked and double checked GC
● You must complete 75 hours of fitness in the time enrolled in the course to get your 5
credits- Hand in a Monthly Log by the FIRST FRIDAY of every month
● Hand in your work via the GC if you can
● Ensure you are safe and careful when participating in any activity
● All 4 posts need to be completed BUT the order is up to you!
● You must have a minimum of 5 hours in the Dance and Stretching category …
● ALL components of the course need to be completed to get your 5 credits (75
hours/Monthly Logs & SMART goals/ 4 Balanced Living Projects / Wellness Inv. x 2/ Final
Fitness Chat)
● Phys Ed 10 is a mandatory course for a High School Diploma BUT you should
consider it a course that will bring balance, happiness and fun to your life!

  • 3. Getting Started Whether you are just starting out getting more active or you are active already, this article covers many important aspects necessary to be successful in this course and more importantly life! READ HERE
  • 4. #1 Goal of this Course… that YOU begin LIVING a BALANCED lifestyle!
  • 5. REQUIREMENTS 5 credits Course Tasks/Assignments (All must be completed in order to receive course credit) All Assignments will be posted separately in the Google Classroom- where you will also HAND IN ALL ASSIGNMENTS. They are also listed below for you to review briefly before you complete your Course OVerview Quiz. ➔ Quick Quiz (Google Form) on Course Guidelines & Safety ➔ Wellness Inventory (Beginning & Midway completion) ➔ Monthly Fitness Log & Reflection (complete each month in course) ➔ Balanced Living Project x 4 (can be completed in any order) ➔ CPR course ➔ Final Fitness Chat (Oral Final Course Reflection) Course Forms (Need to be completed before you start logging any hours) ➔ Informed Consent ➔ Medical Information Form ➔ Course Playlist You may take pics and send them from your sell phone, scan and email/fax, drop them off at your highschool and ask Office
  • 6. Your ENTIRE Phys Ed 10 Flex Course is in this Google Classroom! All information you require is here. If you don’t think it is look again, then look one more time. IF you still can’t find it feel free to talk to/ email your teacher and they will get you sorted out. If work is completed electronically/ via computer please use classroom to hand it in. IF you are doing things the old fashioned way, make sure your name is on it, date completed and hand it in to your teacher. *Wherever you see GC it is referring to this Google Classroom.
  • 7. How to Name & Save Assignments in GC 1. Create a Folder in DRIVE and call it PhysEd10 Flex (store all your assignment here… organize the folder a way that makes sense for you.) 2. Open an assignment link ie. Wellness Inventory from GC. 2. Click on File (upper above the toolbar) and choose Make A Copy 2. Name your file: YOURNAMEwellnessinventory
  • 8. Course Tasks Requirement #1: Course Guidelines & Safety...quiz Goal: get you completely knowledgeable about the in’s & out’s of this course so you can be independent & successful! How? Finish going through this presentation and complete the Google Form/Quiz at the end What you are doing RIGHT NOW! :)

Requirement #2: Wellness Inventory Goal: a pre assessment of how balanced your lifestyle currently is :) How? Find it on the Introductory Page for PE10. Complete it and hand it in, use it to figure out areas of improvement
  • 10. Mandatory Course Forms Time to complete the course forms previously discussed. Once those are handed into Mrs. D she will give you the go ahead to get started! Course Forms (Need to be completed before you start logging any hours OR get STARTED!) All the following forms need to be completed print off one of each below. Once forms are handed in Mrs. Desmarais will contact you for a quick Google Hangout/ Facetime to check in:) ➔ Informed Consent ➔ Medical Information Form ➔ Course Playlist
  • 11. Course Tasks Now, that you know what you need to do… time to get busy! Requirement #3 EXPLORE: Fitness Activities & Monthly Log Goal: get you moving or keep you moving while EXPLORING a variety of activities in the five environments. Completing a total of 75 hours in the time enrolled in Phys Ed 10, and completing a Monthly Fitness Log & Reflection. How? Make a goal for yourself for the month, find an adult who can supervise, go out and participate in various fitness activities, track your hours, and record on your log. You MUST complete ONE for every month you are enrolled. There is a SMART goal you must complete, a couple reflection questions and a picture that are also required with your log. Exemplar..here
  • 12. By clicking on the adjacent image you will be redirected to a larger version. Once there, Interact with each heart and get more in depth information regarding each of the five environments.
  • 13. Monthly Fitness Logs are due by the first FRIDAY of EACH Month! No logs mean no CREDIT. Please ENSURE that you are getting and tracking your 75 hours!
  • 14. Course Tasks Investigate various elements of fitness that contribute to living a balanced life! Requirement #4 4 Balanced Living Posts/Videos/Podcasts Goal: To dig deeper into fitness and to understand it is more than just about looking good or being in shape. Then to ensure that you find topics that are meaningful to you and then to share what you have learned with others. How? Choose a platform or media type to create your posts. *Here is a Tips Page and the Project Assignment for you to review but it is also in the Google Classroom. Tips / Project Assignment
  • 15. Course Tasks Now, that you’ve been active...how do you feel? Requirement #5 Midway Wellness Inventory Goal: To see how much impact your SMART goals and your EXPLORATION of the different fitness activities has had on your personal wellness. How? Complete the inventory again. Compare it to the one you completed at the beginning of the course. Reflect on the changes or lack of changes. Complete in a Google Doc and hand in to your teacher. Guiding questions to help you in the GC.
  • 16. Course Tasks Now, that you know what you need to do… time to get busy! Requirement #6 Final Fitness Chat- Final Course Reflection Goal: To reflect on your experiences and what you have investigated in this course and come up with some ideas how you can carry them into your life now and in the future How? Set up a meeting with Mrs. D (Can be face to face, a hangout or a facetime.)

Just provide a copy of your certificate to your teacher!:) Requirement #7 CPR First Aid Training Goal: To become more aware of life saving measures and safety How? Participate in the session created for you by your teacher

Summary ● All the information you need is in GC ● If you have questions email your teacher once you have checked and double checked GC ● You must complete 75 hours of fitness in the time enrolled in the course to get your 5 credits- Hand in a Monthly Log by the FIRST FRIDAY of every month ● Hand in your work via the GC if you can ● Ensure you are safe and careful when participating in any activity ● All 4 posts need to be completed BUT the order is up to you! ● You must have a minimum of 5 hours in the Dance and Stretching category … ● ALL components of the course need to be completed to get your 5 credits (75 hours/Monthly Logs & SMART goals/ 4 Balanced Living Projects / Wellness Inv. x 2/ Final Fitness Chat) ● Phys Ed 10 is a mandatory course for a High School Diploma BUT you should consider it a course that will bring balance, happiness and fun to your life!
