This document discusses the case of a 57-year-old female patient with von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease who presented with decreased vision in her left eye due to retinal hemangioblastoma. She underwent two unsuccessful laser treatments but photodynamic therapy (PDT) resulted in significant resolution of the serous retinal detachment and cystoid macular edema. PDT was concluded to be an effective treatment for exudative retinal detachment caused by retinal hemangioblastomas in patients with VHL disease.

Purpose: We report a rare case of a 2 - year-old child with ectopia lentis and potential Marfan syndrome (MFS) and discuss her management. Methods: A 2 - year - old female with no signifi cant past medical history was brought in by her mother after complaints that the child has recently been holding everything close to her eyes while simultaneously shifting her head down. Her mother reported no history of pain or trauma. The child’s family history was negative for ectopia lentis or MFS.

Background: Idiopathic Macular Telangiectasia type 2 (IMT2) is a relatively uncommon clinical condition with an estimated prevalence of 1% within the general population. This condition can be challenging to precisely identify in early stages but advancements in clinical imaging to include fl uorescein angiography and Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) can allow for timely diagnosis and prompt intervention that may leads to improved long-term clinical outcomes. Emerging literature has recognized the role of Macular Pigment (MP) in IMT2 in terms of Henle fi ber layer deposition mechanisms and potential mitigation of infl ammatory and oxidative stress. Primary care optometrists are in a unique position to facilitate early detection and manage through close evaluation and individualized lutein supplementation

Abstract: Background: Uveitic glaucoma (UG) due to disease and /or therapeutics is an important reason for reduced vision. Different therapeutic regimen employed in uveitis can alter the course of UG. Purpose: Evaluation of prevalence of UG with different commonly used therapy. Study design: Randomised prospective hospital based study Study Period: 2007-2012 Methods: Baseline IOP; Field and optic nerve head photographs were recorded. Three groups were randomised: 1.topical steroid 2.Systemic steroid +gr 1, 3.Topical synthetic steroids, cycloplegic and periorbital triamcinolone injection. Outcome measure: IOP more than 22 mm/4 mm increase from baseline is marker.

The paper investigates a case of sudden loss of vision in a patient with recent history of blurred vision of right eye diagnosed with Central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO). The point of interest of this case report is that the clinical features are something different from those of a CRAO and revealed cardinal triad of simultanagnosia, optic ataxia, and oculomotor apraxia which are conclusive of a rare clinical entity known as Balint syndrome.
