extrusion, reclamation, thermo-forming, printing, and automated packaging processes; generating $100 million
in annual sales and over $1 million in cost savings annually
•As RD&E Project Manager: served as R&D and Manufacturing liaison for managed National Food Packaging
customer base, providing customer to plant contact for customer relationship, product issue resolution, product
change needs, new product qualification, and ongoing customer relationship both technically and administra-
tively; provided technical leadership to internal co-extrusion, thermo-forming and printing departments; man-
aged development of all new graphic artwork and printing process activities; technically supported combining
of two large plants into one, as part of a strategic merger
•As Production Manager: led, thermo-forming & printing operations, mold maintenance, graphics manage-
ment, and departmental technical issues utilizing 4 Supervisors and supporting hourly employees; insured
quality production of thermo-formed and printed multi-layer shelf stable food containers; managed engineering
efforts and product development activities of department; performed as plant technical liaison for customers
and suppliers regarding product performance and process troubleshooting of hot fill, cold fill, and aseptic or
non-aseptic form/fill/seal food packaging applications
•As Senior Process Engineer: managed product process definitions for thermo-forming, maintained all aspects
of trim-in-place thermo-forming molds, including installations, maintenance, changeovers and design modifica-
tions; directed the activities of three engineering technicians directly and sixteen process technicians indirectly
•As Senior Development Technician: operated co-extrusion tube & sheet lines, thermo-forming lines, blow
molding lines & supervised six-person crew, developing co-extruded multi-layered sheet, thermo-formed con-
tainers, and blow molded bottles for the food packaging industry

!•As Senior Manager: Oversight Management of North American suppliers, producing Playtex brand plastic
product components and finished goods, utilizing the plastic polymer conversion processes of cast/blown film
extrusion, extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding, compression molding, sheet extrusion, profile extru-
sion, thermo-forming, injection molding of plastics, latex, & silicone, and paper tube products (responsible for
$100 million purchase spend annually); served as primary interface between internal corporate departments
and North American external manufacturers; directed supply base continuous improvement efforts using LEAN
methodologies, performed supplier purchasing functions, oversight of contract negotiations, tracked perfor-
mance compliance, directed new product development, oversight of product improvements, over sight of
process improvements, and provided technical support for product lines; co-inventor of patent pending 10oz.
Expandable Drop In Baby Bottle Liner
!•As Plant Manager: had full P&L/Budgeting responsibility and direct oversight of Production, Quality, Mainte-
nance, Planning, and Engineering for extrusion, reclamation, thermo-forming, and packaging manufacturing
operations, producing Playtex brand “Drop In” baby bottle, liners as well as Playtex “Infant Care brand” prod-
ucts in a large packaging operation; generating $60 million in sales revenue, utilizing 6 direct reports and 150
hourly employees; primary liaison to corporate R&D, Quality, and Marketing for the “Drop In” product line; Led
LEAN tool use and continuous improvement efforts in product quality and plant operations that ultimately led to
a 50% reduction in required hourly employees; technical project leader for Polyethylene resin research & de-
velopment, generating greatly improved “Drop In” product functional performance
•As Technical Manager: Led and directed multiple plant expansions, equipment improvement capital projects,
product quality development improvement activities of Feeding & Soothing operations; managed all technical
aspects of Infant Care plant extrusion, reclamation, thermo-forming and packaging equipment; expanded and
upgraded “Drop In” bottle liner production facility and equipment twice, resulting in significantly reduced operat-
ing costs
•As Principal Engineer: Successfully relocated and expanded an extrusion/thermo-forming pilot plant facility
from Europe to USA and develop it into a commercially viable operation, producing 700 million preformed baby
bottle liners annually; provided primary design, technical, and plant engineering support for Playtex “Drop-In”
baby bottle liner production, utilizing deep draw, trim in place, thermo-forming technology; led maintenance and
technical activities of plant; directed all capital project improvements for equipment improvements; served as
primary “go to” person for process/equipment troubleshooting and support; managed all trim-in-place mold
maintenance and mold design improvements
