1. – Vice-President of Operations, Worldwide Cosmetics Inc. (Angel’s Multinational Group) Miami Florida, USA,
December 2009 – Present.
Direction and full responsibility of all business operations in multiples facilities and countries: Global international business,
P&L, business development, strategic planning, organizational changes and improvement, leadership developing, culture of
excellence implementation, finance, cross-enterprise integration, manufacturing (FDA), Distribution, co-packing, quality
assurance, continuous improvement, research and development (R&D), safety management (OSHA), planning, logistics,
procurement, sales and marketing strategies of our health and beauty products for international and American market.
Designing and importation of packaging components from Asia, exportation of finished goods to South America. International
business with Asia, South America and North America.
I designed and led a cost reduction plan, getting savings of 40% of production cost as the results of improving manufacturing
procedures in USA Manufacturing facilities, and negotiating packaging components and raw materials from Asia.
2. - Manufacturing Regional Manager and Plant Manager, Pepsi-Cola. Venezuela, January 2000 – March 2009.
P&L responsibility, cross-enterprise integration, direction of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution processes in order
to meet established objectives and obtain the optimum operation (elaboration, packaging, quality assurance, safety
management, maintenance, distribution and control of stocks of Pepsi products) in multiple facilities under my responsibility: 3
Pepsi production facilities and 2 co-packers with 12 production lines to fulfil the demand of production (860 million of litres),
minimizing cost and complying the strict quality specifications of PepsiCo International.
Leadership of plant expansion projects to install 3 PET production lines, 2 glass bottles lines, a sewer water plant, syrup room
expansion, new warehouses building, and general layout of the plant.
Elaboration and execution of the annual budget. Strategic Procurement, Formulation of strategies and execution of plans to
increase productivity, efficiency, continuous improvement, implementation of Lean Manufacturing and TPM principles on the
methodology M&W “PepsiCo Manufacturing & Warehousing” in the management and achievement the business goals.
Achievement of standardization by identifying the best practices and procedures for optimum results in the 5 Plants under my
responsibility: Pepsi Maracaibo Plant (winner of 7 consecutive Pepsico International Quality Awards and International
Excellence Center Award), Pepsi Villa de Cura Plant, Gatorade Valencia Plant and 2 Co-packers.
Supervisory responsibilities of 20 managers, 80 supervisors and 800 workers to ensure proper orientation and to motivate
teams to achieve results, training, development, and safe working conditions, Human Resource development; Dealing with
unions and negotiating contracts.
As Manufacturing Regional Manager and Plant Manager I achieved high productivity and excellent results using Lean
Manufacturing, TPM, Pepsico continuous improvement programs, 5S, Resource Conservation, Gap Analysis, and my ability
to develop talents and motivate people.
3.- Engineering and Projects Manager, Polar Brewery (Empresas Polar). Venezuela, September 1996 – January 2000.
Coordination of all the projects to upgrade technologically brewery plant equipment and expand the production capacity with
an investment of USD 45 million in Polar Brewery Maracaibo Plant. Planning and execution of projects in the areas of:
Treatment of raw and sewer water, making and filtering beer, bottling, canning and packaging.
Designing of layout, selection and negotiation of machines for 2 high speed bottling lines (2,000 and 2,600 bottles per
minute). Negotiation and selection of technology from USA, Germany, Italy, France, Holland, etc.
4.- Production Manager, Polar Brewery (Empresas Polar). Venezuela, July 1991 – September 1996.
Guarantee the production, warehousing, distribution and quality of beer to fulfil the demand in several kinds of products
manufactured in 10 bottling lines and 1 canning line, at the rate of 50 million litres per month. Leadership of a big
multidisciplinary team of 25 Supervisors and 300 workers. Plan production, logistics (transportation and deployment to
warehouses). Coordination of services from the maintenance department and other plant services.
Elaboration and standardization of all the procedures to obtain the ISO Certification.
5.- Maintenance Chief Engineer, Polar Brewery (Empresas Polar). Venezuela, August 1984 – July 1991.
Elaboration and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans. Increase of productivity of 11 packaging lines.
Ensuring optimum efficiency of high speed automated equipment. Leading hundreds of mechanics and electricians to
maintain machines and facilities.
