- Improved and Efficient Highways Chester County’s highway infrastructure must be improved and maintained to ensure the safe and efficient transport of people, goods and services. Major road projects supported by TMACC include: U.S. 202 highway reconstruction project in the Great Valley area of Malvern U.S. 202 highway redesign project (West Chester to Painters Crossroads) U.S. 30 Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass and Interchange improvements U.S. 422 reconstruction project (North Coventry Township to Valley Forge) PA 100 highway reconstruction (Exton to Lionville) PA 41 corridor safety improvements in southern Chester County Boot Road extension in Downingtown Accessible and Efficient Public Transportation Chester County’s bus and rail network must be enhanced and expanded to ensure that commuters have a reliable alternative to driving. Not only is TMACC a strong advocate for public transit, it is also a provider. For the past 10 years, TMACC has provided bus service in Chester County. TMACC bus lines – SCCOOT, Coatesville Link and Beeline – connect residential communities to commercial and retail corridors where many residents work and shop. Improving access to jobs is essential to the economic viability of Chester County. Thousands of employers throughout Chester County rely on TMACC to provide public transportation for their employees to commute to work on a daily basis. Stable and Reliable Funding for Transportation TMACC supports the efforts of the Pennsylvania Legislature to provide inflation sensitive, long-term funding stream to address the Pennsylvania’s transportation funding crisis. Pennsylvania needs an additional $1.7 billion a year in additional revenues to repair the state’s aging infrastructure and structurally-deficit bridges and to maintain and expand public transit.

- Route 204 operates between the Paoli Train Station and Eagleview Corporate Center. Under an Experimental Order, SEPTA made two minor adjustments to the route to include service on Constitution Drive in Eagleview and to the Uptown Worthington complex in East Whiteland Township. If approved, these changes would become part of the base route. The Emergency Ride Home (ERH) service is a "safety net" for commuters working in southeastern Pennsylvania who share their ride to work (carpool, vanpool, transit) on a regular basis. This service is available only to: commuters who apply and are approved through our sign-up form (below); commuters who apply to the Share-A-Ride (SAR) ridematch program directly; or employees registered through their employer who participates in the Mobility Alternatives Program (MAP). Employees who register for ERH must commit to sharing a ride to work at least three (3) times a week, and the request for ERH must be made on a day when the commuter has shared a ride (is not using his/her own car).
- Employers can promote biking or walking to work by providing: Shower and locker facilities on-site or at a nearby health club; Secure bicycle storage, such as racks or lockers; Subsidies or discounts on bicycling equipment and services; Individual route planning; Workshops on bicycle safety and maintenance; Bicycle clubs or “bike buddy” programs; ERH programs for emergencies.
