SUMMARY
With my 17 years of supervision experience and as a former Nuclear Construction
Company owner and Red Seal Steamfitter, I have proven skills and experience within
the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Industrial construction industries. I am currently security
cleared through criminal background checks by CSIS and the OPP.
Never afraid to take on challenging responsibilities, I was requested to complete the post
Fukushima nuclear containment filter vent piping work in South Korea, which was
completed on schedule. Using my experience of being a certified Canadian Welding
Bureau (CWB) Welding Supervisor, I have also been successful in obtaining certified
audited welding programs for both ASME, and CWB at previous employers. I am always
keen to learn new skills, and engage my own, to conquer a current challenge or mentor
others I work with.
In 2006 I created a business with successfully completed, code compliant construction
projects at Chalk River Laboratories Maple Reactor Construction Project between 2006
and 2008. Practical application of my abilities is one of my strengths, which was evident
during the start up phase of my nuclear construction company. The ability to utilize my
experience in quality assurance, pressure piping code knowledge, and estimating,
allowed for the creation of a profitable business. Creating and utilizing lessons learned
for future planning, and developing a safety conscious work environment through actions
and attitude, is how I lead a team.
Through years of high stress work environments during the managing, planning, and
execution phases of planned and forced maintenance outages at power plants, I
demonstrated excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills. Some
direct examples of leadership abilities include the positive experience as the CSAO John
M Beck Award winning B side Pickering Nuclear Joint Health and Safety Comittee
Chairman, along with the Due Diligence course I created and taught to over 500
Managers, Supervisors and Trades people at Husky Sunrise Oil Sands Project. I’ve
consistently held trades people, and my supervision accountable for their actions, to
promote due diligence. I have vast experience dealing with union jurisdictional issues,
and grievances throughout my career. Mentoring supervision and workers in the field
and monitoring for compliance to management quality and safety expectations is one of
my greatest strengths.
I have the ability and demeanor to successfully lead a team or work in a team to
complete difficult work in challenging environments.

• I was the liaison between the Construction contractors and the Husky Project team for
field activities including progress, engineering changes, contract interpretation, and
coordination with other Contractors and Husky Operations and Commissioning and Start
up personnel
• Managed 30 Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Pre Commissioning Construction
Coordinators
• Created and taught a mandatory Construction Supervisor Due Diligence Course for all
site supervision. The course was so successful that requests were made to present the
material to entire workforces of sub contractors. Over 500 attended the class throughout
the project timeline

• Joined the Integrated Implementation Plan-IIP Hardware Group tasked to
install/replace/repair the various mechanical and civil systems and components for the
NRU Reactor to comply with CNSC Orders
• Built Code Compliant detailed Work Packages to inject into the NRU Reactor rolling 13
week maintenance schedule
• Authored Detailed Technical Scopes of work for several systems and other work
including Helium Upper Vessel Leak Repair, The NRU Concrete Facade Inspection,
Several Large Valve Replacements, and The NRU Reactor Roof Replacement Project

Field Engineer Supporting the Bruce B Chiller Replacement Project
• Canadian Welding Bureau Certified Welding Supervisor
• Initiated and Managed the CWB Certification Process for AREVA NP Canada Ltd, and
co-authored all of the General Welding Procedures,
• Worked in South Korea for AREVA NP Canada Ltd. As Lead Piping Supervisor on the
Post Fukushima Containment Filter Vent Project at Wolsong Nuclear Plant Unit 1. This
was a Nuclear Class 2 and Class 6 piping project with several Nuclear Penetrations into
the Reactor Building. This job was under extreme schedule pressure and was completed
in time to avoid the Nuclear Regulator shutting the Unit down. The language barrier was
overcome with patience and clear communication skills.
• I prepared company mark up assignments and chaired several Construction Mark Up
Meetings with Union Business Agents
• Supervised Boilermakers during the Unit1 & 2 Nuclear Class III Maintenance Cooling
Heat Exchanger Disconnect/Removal from the Bruce A Nuclear Plant.
• At Bruce B site I executed the role of Work Area Manager for the first Main Output
Transformer Replacement performed by a Contractor other than Ontario - Hydro One.
This was a replacement of a Westinghouse Transformer with an ABB Transformer.
• During the design process for the Bruce B Chiller(s) Replacement Project, I performed
daily Constructability site work to minimize future field changes. Constructability walk
downs and reviews were performed along with the installation contractor to obtain buy in
before the job started. This proved invaluable to limit the number of field changes.

4. Plan Energy, Owner- July 2007 – Jan 2009
Chalk River Laboratories Construction Manager
Secured the contracts at Chalk River Laboratories through estimates and negotiations
with AECL Management to complete the remaining mechanical and electrical
modifications to:
o The New Processing Facility
o Dedicated Isotope Facility
o Maple 1 Reactor
• Managed the Fabrication and installation of pressure piping for several systems
including De-Ionized Water, Closed Loop Cooling, High Pressure Steam and
Condensate, Process Water Piping, and Compressed Air,
• Managed the installation work inside the Hot Cells in NPF, which included complex
tubing installations, confined space welding, and mechanical work
• Managed the electrical work throughout the Dedicated Isotope Facility including High
Bay Lighting, Wire Remediation, Load Bank Installation, Fire alarm system
modifications, and controls for the piping systems installed
• 21 Trades on site for 2007-2008 with only 2 first aid occurrences
• Produced weekly progress reports including earned value reporting for trades, and
administration activities
• Produced multiple system turnovers to Field Engineering, History Dockets for Pressure
Boundary Piping and History Files for Electrical Systems
• Submitted multiple claim letters to the client and successfully secured all funds
requested. This was achieved due to the thorough documenting of delays and tracking
of extra scope.
• Represented management during the successful site audit to achieve ISO 9001-2000,
and CSA Z299.3 -1985 Certification
• Led the team in the successful achievement of W47.1 welding designation from the
Canadian Welding Bureau
• Secured 3 million dollars of Mechanical and Electrical work for the site through estimates
and proposal preparation and submissions
