Shale is a fine-grained sedimentary rock formed by the compaction of silt and clay minerals. Shale gas is natural gas contained within shale formations. It has low porosity and permeability, making the gas difficult to extract. Historically, shale gas was not produced much due to a lack of technology. The Barnett Shale in Texas was the first major shale gas field developed. While shale gas production has grown and provides benefits, it also raises environmental and economic concerns that require responsible production and use.

 Due to lack of knowledge & technology there was
production less of shale gas in past
 The Barnett Shale of Texas was the first major natural gas
field developed in a shale reservoir rock.
 Producing gas from the Barnett Shale was a challenge.
 The pore spaces in shale are so tiny that the gas has
difficulty moving through the shale and into the well.

9.  Shale gas emits significant amount of carbon it is less
acceptable so we have to think on it
 We have great opportunity to upgrade the technology
to increase the productivity of shale gas .
 We have to use it carefully as a future aspects is
concern .
 We have to maintain environmental balance.

10.  Shale gas could also provide cleaner energy option for
many developing countries that are currently heavily
relying on coal, the dirtiest energy source of them all.
 Shale gas is most helpful for petroleum industry.
 If production of gas increases economical balance over
the world will also improve.
 Due to formation of Shale gas drilling technology
production technology also improving.

11.  Shale gas have very demand due to shale gas
competition in petroleum industry increases.
 Every company has thought for increase
production of shale gas so due to its
economical balance also get misbalanced
 Environmental balance also gets misbalanced
 Shale gas renewable source so when its
production is unpredictable

natural gas.
 Most of the industry in the world trying to focus on the
searching a new reservoirs of shale gas and produced it.
 US is the major producer of the shale gas . due to the
new technology the production of shale gas increasing
day to day.
 Shale gas could also decrease energy costs because
massive shale gas production would likely cause a
significant decline in natural gas price
