 Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire.
 In simple words… It is a Pre-Exercise Checklist.
 It contains a group or list of questions.
 It is used to be aware of the danger checks that need to
be made prior to a physical exercise or gymming session.

5.  It should be identified and represent the importance of
athlete/player’s physical activity with confidentiality.
 It should demonstrate expanded questioning techniques.

6. Why PARQ is needed??

7. PAR-Q screening form
 You must NEVER exercise an athlete without them first
completing a PAR-Q scale.
 The completed PARQ will highlight any problems or
contra-indications to the exercise that will prevent the
athlete from exercising safely.

8. Expanding the view of PARQ:
 You must use your communication skills and expand on any answers that
indicate the athlete may have a problem or contraindications to exercise.

9.  This will enable you to make a judgement on the level of severity of
the problem or contraindication and allow you to decide if the athlete
is fit to exercise or needs to be referred to a GP.
 Example like: “Are you currently on any medication?” Answer – Yes
 “It says on your PARQ that you’re on a medication at the moment,
could you tell me what type of medication you are on?”
 “Yes, right. I’ve been taking Testomucoris (Sarms - Selective Androgen
Receptor Modulators) the Doctor’s prescription.
 So, some study suggested that when sarms are taken, cardiovascular
workouts should not be suggested… If it is part of the exercise regime
then should be done 24 to 48 hours after the medications.

10. Criteria to watch:
 A player or athlete should match with PARQ
criteria and complete it, then PARQ should be
checked and signed by respective concern person,
then only exercise prescription or regime should
be suggested.
