4. What is Evidence Based Practice???
 Evidence-based practice (EBP) is the integration
of Clinical expertise/expert opinion. The
judgment, and critical reasoning acquired
your training and professional experiences.
 Through EBP, PTs can stay updated about new
medical protocols and new physiotherapeutic
treatments for patient care.
 By searching for documented interventions that
fit the profiles of their patients, PTs can increase
their patients' chances for recovery with proper
rehabilitation process.

 "the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best
evidence in making decisions about the care of the individual
patient. It means integrating individual clinical expertise
with the best available external clinical evidence from
systematic research."(Sackett D, 1996)
 Conscientious = Based on principles
 Explicit = Open/Clear/Unambiguous
 Judicious = Sensible/Thoughtful/Fair

6.  A process of planning, implementing and evaluating programs adapted from
tested models or interventions
 Uses an epidemiologic perspective that focuses on populations rather than
individual
 It emphasizes both prevention and treatment.
