vandalism art is, the differences between graffiti artwork and vandalism, and the purpose of graffiti.
What is street art? It is a free public art that involves many different styles such as graffiti, sticker,

communicating through art is a language that everyone can understand and relate to. However, some
might argue that graffiti is vandalism. Vandalism is when street artists paint without any permissions
of private property owners. In the articles, What graffiti means to a community says Most vandals are
young people, from grade school age to young adults, who damage property for reasons

Mary Wollstonecraft And Jane Addams
In the past women s right was nonexistent, and they did not have any educational or voting rights.
Most of their education was toward music, dance, embroidery, and how to be a good wife. Woman did
not have a voice in society, and their ideas was disregard and not valued. During the year 1700 1900,
some feminist movement for women s rights arouse. In Europe, Mary Wollstonecraft advocated for
women s right and education. As a liberal thinker, Wollstonecraft desired a society with equal rights
for men and women. In the U.S., Jane Addams developed the philosophy of socialized education, and
was the pioneer is social work and women s right.
Born in different times and different continents, Mary Wollstonecraft and Jane Addams contributed
greatly for the women s right movement and education. Comparing and contrasting this two women,
we can notice some similarities. Both have some mental health issue, Mary Wollstonecraft was raised
in a dysfunctional family, with a alcoholic and abuse father. She struggled with depression and have a
rebellious nature. In the same perspective, Jane Addams also suffered with depression due to physical
problems and back pain, however, as young women she was shy and reserved.
Mary Wolltonecraft was born in London, and lived from 1759 to 1797. Wolltonecraft had a short,
intense, and meaningful life. Coming from a middle class family, she attended the local school for

Implementation Of The Reporting And Subsequent
Implementation of the reporting and subsequent use of pharmacogenomic variants of significance will
take a multistep process, and require leadership and buy in to optimize implementation. The following
necessary steps have been described to successfully implement preemptive Pharmacogenomics
testing.2 First, there must be a systematic process for genotyping and for migrating test results into the
EHR. There must be a permissive institutional infrastructure that will support clinical implementation.
There must be a governing committee (usually a subcommittee of the P T committee), which provides
oversight regarding which test results are part of the EHR, and which drugs are linked to CDS alerts.
This committee must have a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stakeholders will include clinical informatics and bioinformatics experts, providers (both specialists
such as genetic counselors and geneticists, and generalists), pharmacists, information security and
privacy personnel, and laboratorians.
The process of developing the EHR interface and CDS content will need to involve users, decision
makers, and evaluators. The users will need to be asked about the tasks they do on a daily basis to
provide patient care, and about the clinical decisions that would benefit from computer decision
support.
Stakeholder/users should be surveyed to find out their needs, by asking questions in the following
areas: What information do you need that you don t have? Where in the EHR would
pharmacogenomic information be located? Would a link out to a curated definitive information source
help? Or would you prefer a more concise summary linked to the moment of prescribing? Or both?
How will you decide which drugs gene pairs to implement alerts for in the EHR? What process will be
used to update the system? Who will be responsible? How will new genomic results be put into the
EHR, and converted to phenotypes with defined actions? Who will make sure that the
pharmacogenomic actions are kept up to date with the rapidly advancing field? What do you want the
CDS tool to look like? What level of alerts do you

Post independence, the Philippines economy swirled through a dizzying cycle of boom and bust.
During the 1950s, the country tried to become an industrialized nation with the policy of import
substitution, where domestic goods are substituted for imports. However, these protectionist measures
had a negative effect in the long term leading to inefficiencies and misallocation of resources. For that

our roots. Knowing the history of your family can help prove a sense of identity because getting to

you realize who you really are. Learning the history of your people will form a connection to certain
customs, values, and beliefs. I have learned many stories of my family history from just talking to the
elderly within my family. Stories about their trials and tribulation of those previous generations show
me how far we came overall. I have passed on those same stories along to the generation under me
and emphasized how important it is for them to do the same. Understand your culture will open your

Child Sexual Abuse In The Bluest Eye By Toni Morrison
Child sexual abuse before the 1970s was secretive and socially unspeakable. It was only after 1970s
that it became legally punishable. Toni Morrison raised this issue in her novel The Bluest Eye
speaking about the unspeakable. Second wave feminism brought sexual abuse and violence against
women to the forefront making them public and political issues.
Child abuse is a complex phenomenon with multiple causes and occurs in a range of situations and
circumstances. Children are abused by people in a position of power above them. Child abuse is
nothing but the oppression of the weak by the powerful. Children are weaker physically than their
oppressors and so can be overpowered easily. If they are bold enough to raise their voice they are

Fighting for Equality and Freedom Essays
Across all nations and cultures, the enduring pursuit of equality in life seems global and timeless.
Some would believe that their own country has achieved a true democracy with no residual
inequalities of which to speak, while others know they are at the other end of the spectrum, enduring
unjust laws that should not be bestowed on any human. Through the course of history many countries
have fought for that democracy and all the equality that it implies. While some believe they have
reached that goal, others continue to fight for the most basic human rights, even in this time of
enlightenment. The journey each country takes on its road to that place may vary by origination,
length, severity and outcome, but the goal seems to be the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In more recent history, King reminds readers of the fundamental values that the United States were
built on as written in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, showing once again that
equality was the intention of the forefathers from the beginning. His vivid examples of the daily
injustices still endured by the Negro society despite written law against such behaviors put a visual
image to the term injustice that could not be ignored. In one example, King writes, your speech
stammering as you seek to explain to your six year old daughter why she can t go to the public
amusement park...and you see tears welling up in her little eyes when she is told that Funtown is
closed to colored children, appealing to all people on a different level that of a mother or father,
instead of black or white (177). While imprisoned by an unjust law for leading a peaceful
demonstration, a blatant violation of his First Amendment right, King s thoughtful and thorough
response to the eight clergymen s letter conveyed patience and love while steadfastly demanding
equality long overdue. Although decades after King, Aung San Suu Kyi s agenda was basically the
same; however, her attempts to gain general equality in a democracy for all citizens of Burma have not
been as successful. The excerpt From In Quest of Democracy seems a more formal approach seeking
to remind both the junta in charge and the ordinary citizens of the goodness, compassion, and

Persuasive Essay On Fashion
Do you want to make a unique fashion statement on your special occasion? Are you attending your
prom, a wedding or a cocktail party? Then, vintage dresses are the way to go! While others are stuck
in the routine combination of dresses for their prom or special occasions, vintage dresses are original
choices you can go for, to stand out and rock the place.
The old is fashionable! The vintage look does not stop being in style, and when you add some 50s
dresses to your wardrobe or solely for the occasion, you display a unique taste that always stands out,
no matter the occasion. By the way, this should not be confused with the use of second hand clothing.
While the word vintage refers to old clothes, this does not mean that you have to use broken or time
worn models. This can be counterproductive and evoke a negative image instead of the good look
which is the original goal. The goal is to wear garments that look good in order to create a timeless
look at the same time.
Vintage dresses, like all the dresses we find in stores, should be tested and checked very carefully if it
has flaws. If you like dresses inspired by the past, you will love the optical or geometric prints of the
70s, classic black dresses or flared jeans from the 60s or flowers and laces of the 50s that will take us
much further back in time.
By definition, a dress is considered a vintage dress if it goes from the 20 s to the 80 s. This style is
generally welcomed and used by people who give special value to classic dresses. If you are
passionate about or identify with this style, we recommend you invest in some beautiful 50s vintage
dresses.
Generally, vintage dresses stand out for their exclusivity, high quality and distinction. In fact, vintage
dresses are the great passion of the fashion world fans and a source of inspiration for haute couture
designers. As you already know, celebrities are vintage fans! So, when you buy yourself some vintage
dresses, you are basically rocking your celebrity identity.
So, how do you combine your vintage dresses for your special occasion, to create a look that is current
and not outdated?
The truth is that, there is no perfect answer to this. This is because your personal taste plays an
essential role

Introduction: Hard water is a term used to refer to water which has high concentrations of magnesium,
calcium, and iron ions. (Lerner, 2014) In this experiment, concentrations of magnesium and calcium
ions were the main focus.
Water hardness is an important factor to consider because it has a great effect on the everyday lives of
people around the world. In most places, drinking hard water does not contribute a significant amount
of calcium or magnesium towards the recommended amount for the human diet, but it can in locations
where the drinking water is extremely hard. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Molar concentration is simply the number of moles of ions per liter of water. Parts per million is a
ratio of weights, and for every one part per million, there is 1 pound of solute for every million pounds
per liter. (Hardness)
EDTA titration, as well as AA (atomic absorption spectrophotometry) are two main ways in which
water hardness is measured. EDTA is performed by adjusting the pH of the water with the use of a
buffer, then adding an indicator to the solution, which will turn red if calcium ions are present. If only
magnesium is present in the solution, it will remain blue. Then an EDTA solution is added to the
solution. The complete reaction of all calcium and magnesium ions with the EDTA solution is
represented by the change in color of the solution from red to blue. (Thomson, 2014)AA, or atomic
absorption spectrophotometry, is performed by turning the water into an aerosol, which is then burned,
and the internal computer system of the machine uses the absorbance of light to provide a number
which corresponds to the concentration of ions in the water sample. (The Royal Society of Chemistry
Fine Chemicals and Medicinals Group). It is important to use more than one method to measure water
hardness, especially a method which relies mainly on the use of technology, to lower the possibilities
for human error, as well as to provide multiple values of hardness for comparison.
In order to remove the calcium and magnesium ions from water, it is put

Court judgment and actions taken by Congress with the Don t Ask, Don t Tell policy exemplify
theories of sexuality and power expressed in the philosophies of Michel Foucault.

Foucault saw the importance of the matter to lie in how the discourse on sexuality in our culture has
paradoxically produced repression.
Repression in modern society is a complex process. Foucault s work divides pre modern sexual acts
from modern sexual identities and sexualities (Lochrie 86). Foucault explained that the discussion of
sexuality itself was restricted in a few areas. After the eighteenth century he noted an institutional
incitement to speak about [sex]... a determination on the part of the agencies of power to hear it
spoken about, and to cause it to speak through explicit articulation and endlessly accumulated detail
(18). This proliferation of discourse had the effect of increasing encroachment of state law onto the
issue of private sexuality.
Foucault s analysis was considered radical. This aspect of societal repression and subsequent
obsession plays an important role in understanding the reactionary political movements concerning
homosexuals in the military. This will be examined after a discussion of the functions of sexuality and
power.
In The History of Sexuality, this examination also focused on the functions of sexuality and power. He
created the term Biopower, which refers to the regulation of subjects by the state. This regulation
occurs through an explosion of numerous and diverse techniques for achieving the

The story of Tom Brennan by J.C burke and the movie Juno composed by Jason Reitman, distinctly

This in turn, influences a change to his state of mind and furthermore improves his mentality.
Ultimately this displays a positive consequence of moving into the world.
Within the second trimester of the novel it is evident that new experiences have further enhanced Tom
s movement past hardship and into a world happier than he had perviously subdued. Through
acceptance of his new world forced upon him, Tom has improved physically. As Tom becomes
physically active again he enriches his understanding of self, and his place in the world. You know,
Dan, they really enjoy playing. It s not just about winning . Burke uses dialogue to present that Tom
has accepted the new word and in doing so, has grown not only physically but mentally as well.
Through this Burke portrays yet another positive consequence of moving into the world.
The motion picture Juno stars a protagonist which faces multiple consequences due to an unplanned
pregnancy. The movie, like the novel present themes revolving around teenage decision making. The
movie is solidly based through the experiences of a pregnant teenage girl, the protagonist Juno.
Being suddenly hit with the unexpected when Juno discovers that she is pregnant, the composer shows
that she is immensely confused. Numerous intense mid shots used highlight Juno s confusion.

3 Characteristics Of A Civilization
3. Creating a Civilization
3. A. For a social organization to qualify as a civilization, it must have the following characteristics:
1. City/Cities A city is a large community of people living close together and a center for trade for a
larger place.
2. Permanent records Writing played a vital role in the earliest civilization. It was first developed by
the people of Sumeria. However, writing is not always necessary for civilization.
3. Advanced Technology It is specialized knowledge to transform the natural environment and human
society.
4. Specialized Workers In early human societies, farming allowed one people to produce food
surpluses thus allowing other to focus on other tasks.
5. Government It is necessary for a civilization to have a stabilized government for them to organize
themselves and to effectively function as one.

What Are The Positive And Negative Impact Of Immigration...
LESSON 15 Immigration and Urban Growth
Objectives:
Identify which countries most of the immigrants came from and why immigrants flocked to the United
States
Identify the positive and negative impact of immigrants on the United States
Identify the positive and negative traits of American Politics during this time period
Immigrants and America, the Melting Pot begins.
Between 1870 and 1920, about 20 million Europeans immigrated to the United States. Many of them
came from eastern and southern Europe, which had not provided large numbers of immigrants before.
Some, like Jews, fled religious persecution. Other immigrants came to the United States to escape
economic hardship. Many left Europe full of ideas for reform and political freedom denied to them in
the past.
About 200,000 Chinese immigrants came from 1851 to 1883. Many thousand immigrants came from
Japan as well. From 1880 to 1920, about 260,000 immigrants came from the Caribbean. Many
Mexicans immigrated to the United States as well. Many Mexicans became part of the country when
territory was added after the Mexican War. About a million immigrants came from 1910 to 1930 to
escape turmoil in Mexico.
Most immigrants traveled by steamship, riding in steerage, the cargo holds below the ship s waterline.
Conditions were cramped, with little light or air and were unclean. Immigrants often suffered from
disease. Immigrants who arrived in New York were processed at Ellis Island. The process, which took

Double-Strand Breaks In Biomedical Research
The past decade has brought rapid and significant innovations in genome editing techniques. For the
first time researchers have the opportunity to manipulate essentially any gene in a plethora of cells and
organisms, using targeted nucleases that were designed for sequence specific binding of the DNA.
One of the first breakthrough methods of gene targeting was the usage of chimeric proteins called zinc
fingers nucleases (ZFN) to create double strand breaks. Still, the real revolution was the introduction
of CRISPR and CRISPR associated (Cas) systems into the biomedical research arena.
One specific CRISPR nuclease Cas9 paired with short guide RNA has the ability to recognize the
target DNA via Watson Crick pairing. The guide sequence found ... Show more content on

One of them is a reported high incidence of nonspecific DNA cleavage; while this has cooled some of
the initial enthusiasm about this method, a potential remedy is the expression of two CRISPR modules
with nickase activity against two genomic sites that are closely adjacent to one another.
Then there is a problem of mosaicism, where mutant allele is produced in only some of the cells, as
nucleases may not inevitably cut the DNA during one stage of embryonic development. The
production of multiple mutations in one organism is also possible, which can create phenotyping
bottlenecks in mouse models.
Regardless of those burning problems, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technique presents staggering
opportunities for addressing a number of illnesses beyond the reach of previous treatment modalities.
Taking into account the accelerating rate of technological progress, as well as a wide range of research
and clinical applications, the road ahead of us will certainly be a thrilling

Public Key Infrastructures
Businesses are becoming ever more dependent on digital information and electronic transactions, and
as a result face stringent data privacy compliance challenges and data security regulations. With the
enterprise increasingly under threat of cyber attacks and malicious insiders, business applications and
networks are now dependent on the use of digital credentials to control how users and entities access
sensitive data and critical system resources. Public key infrastructures (PKIs) are necessary to help
ascertain the identity of different people, devices, and services. In a nutshell, PKIs go way beyond the
use of user IDs and passwords, employing cryptographic technologies such as digital signatures and
digital certificates to create unique credentials that can be validated beyond reasonable doubt and on a

a large number of private users that need public certificates for client authentication. Like with in

Theme Of Tradition In The Good Earth
Tradition is defined by the Merriam Webster Dictionary as an inherited, established, or customary
pattern of thought, action, or behavior (such as a religious practice or a social custom) . The role of
tradition plays an important part in Pearl S. Buck s The Good Earth as it the characters live their life
around the customs. It especially shapes Wang Lung s life as he followed certain practices, but defied
others that he did not feel were so important to him. This influenced the way he related to his father
and uncle and it played a part in his daily life. He tried to stick to his family rituals of working on the
land, wearing a braid, and respecting his elders. Even though he strayed away from these values as he
got older, he mostly found his way back. Tradition (culture?) plays a huge role and the start of The

Freedom In Albert Camus s The Myth Of Sisyphus
Freedom
People follow same standard steps from birth till the end. We go to kindergarten then to
school. Later we enter university and live with the desire of to find a good job and to make a
better life. Do we do these things, because we really want it? In fact, this is just expectations of
society that most people think they should follow. Albert Camus, philosopher and writer, claims
that with living almost the same lives with others and with following the society we just repress
ourselves. In his essay The Myth of Sisyphus , he acknowledges that person can be free with
accepting the Absurd. People who follow the expectations of society repress their freedom,

However, the absurd man is determined to reject all of these
expectations on him. The only freedom the absurd man can know is the freedom he experiences:
the freedom to think and to act as he chooses. By abandoning the idea that he has some role to
fulfill, the absurd man attains the freedom of taking each moment of life as it strikes him, free of
preconceptions or prejudices.
The Guest of the Albert Camus, follows the story of Daru. He is a schoolteacher who lives
on a remote plateau. We see from the beginning of the story that Daru lives alone but he does not
feel lonely. He is even grateful for his solitude and for living in the cruel desert. One day Daru
watches two men approach his schoolhouse. One of the men was Balducci, a friend of Daru and
he leads an Arab prisoner who has been accused of murdering his cousin. Balducci has been
ordered to bring the Arab to Daru, and then return immediately to his post. Likewise, Daru has
orders to turn in the prisoner to police headquarters. Daru refuses this task, considering it
dishonorable, because he does not know that he is guilty or not. Balducci agrees with the
schoolmaster, but insists that in war men must be prepared to do many different jobs.

To be is life, prosperity, and the purse of happiness. If there were no humans there will be no earth
humans are placed on earth to take care of it. In the first book of the Bible Genesis gives a great
example of what it is like to be human. God cares about everything he created but he cares more about
his children because we are a resemblance of God. God created us to take care of the creation he has
made. In the book of Romans Chapter 8:12 17 provides more information about human identity. In
Romans 8:12 13 says So then, my friends, we have an obligation, but it is not to live as our human
nature wants us to. For if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the

basically saying as mankind, we cannot live our life as others want us to we have to live our life
accordingly to God s will. God created us and has a purpose for each individual he created. For
example, Paul identity was a servant of Jesus Christ his identity consisted of him teaching the word of

The Celts In Iron Age And Medieval Europe
The Celts

Jesus Christ was born. They were people in Iron Age and Medieval Europe and spoke Celtic language.
We learn a lot about Celts through looking at objects made from iron and the material that have
survived over time. They were a group of peoples that occupied lands stretching the British Isles to
Galatia.
Clothes
The Celts liked brightly coloured clothes. The clothes were important to them; they showed their
status and importance in their tribe. Men would wear a tunic with a belt, a cloak and trousers. Women
wore dresses that they fastened with brooches. The important members in the tribe also wore
something that showed their status.

EDTA is performed by adjusting the pH of the water with the use of a buffer, then adding an indicator to the solution, which will turn red if calcium ions are present. If only magnesium is present in the solution, it will remain blue. Then an EDTA solution is added to the solution.
