Original Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Original Essays" is a paradoxical endeavor. On the one
hand, the topic invites a certain level of creative freedom, encouraging writers to explore
unconventional ideas and unique perspectives. However, this very freedom can pose a
significant challenge. The expectation to produce something truly original can be a daunting task,
as the pressure to break away from conventional norms and clichГ©s looms large.
Originality requires more than just a departure from the beaten path; it demands a deep
understanding of existing narratives and a keen awareness of the boundaries that delineate
common discourse. The process of generating novel ideas and weaving them into a coherent
essay involves a delicate dance between innovation and coherence. One must navigate the fine
line between pushing the boundaries of thought and ensuring that the essay remains accessible
and relatable to the audience.
Moreover, the search for originality may lead to a sense of isolation. In a world saturated with
information and ideas, finding a truly unique perspective can feel like a solitary journey. The fear
of redundancy and the constant awareness of the vast body of existing literature on any given
topic can be paralyzing, hindering the creative process.
Yet, it is precisely within this challenge that the beauty of writing on original essays emerges. The
struggle to break free from the ordinary is a testament to the writer's commitment to intellectual
exploration. It requires a willingness to embrace discomfort, to question established norms, and
to persist in the pursuit of something genuinely new.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Original Essays" is a task that demands both courage and
creativity. It invites writers to confront the inherent difficulties of treading uncharted territory
while acknowledging the importance of grounding their ideas in a recognizable framework. It is
a balancing act that challenges the writer to defy expectations while maintaining coherence—a
challenge that, in the end, can be as rewarding as it is arduous.
If you find yourself grappling with such challenges or seeking inspiration, you might discover
that there are resources available to assist you. Websites like HelpWriting.net offer a plethora
of essays and writing services, providing a valuable support system for those navigating the
intricate landscape of originality in writing.

Antontin Artaud And The True Purpose Of Art And Art
In 1931, Antonin Artaud experienced a painting by Lucus Ven Den Leyden which
he saw in the Louvre in Paris. Gazing at this fifteenth century painting of a Biblical
story, The Daughters of Lot , Artaud became aware of how it moved him in a deep,
dark, mystical way from just a single glance. It was his connection to this painting
that inspired him to believe in a theatre without words that could move people in
the same way. Artaud had a desire to bring theatre back to its original purpose. In
his 1932 letter to Jean Paulhan he wrote, The true purpose of theatre is to create
myths, to express life in its immense universal aspect, and from that life to extract
images in which we find pleasure in discovering ourselves . (Plunka 20) He
believed the western world had lost the true meaning of theatre. Discontented by the
theatre of his time, he concluded that the west had lost touch with the language of
the theatre by focusing mainly on the use of words; the dialogue. He believed that
theatre had its own language which he called Spatial Poetry . (Read 183) When
Artaud experienced this painting he began to consider it a type of ritualistic staging
resembling that of a theatrical performance . (CITE FROM SOMEWHERE) He
found in this painting mystic properties that could be projected materially by using
the true language of the stage. Artaud was also deeply disturbed by the way society
was placing undue burdens upon the individual. The theatre of his time, which had

Objectivity And Standpoint Epistemology
Throughout the history of epistemology, we are baffled by the haunting spectre of
objectifying our knowledge claims to attain certitude in our knowledge systems.
There are different systems in accordance with our different times and we are
always in the drive to dispute those who have come before us. However, the main
question is what does it mean to be objective? Philosophers have always anchored
the perspective of objectivity along the lines of truth the allegiance of our claims to
the reality of the world. Others have anchored it on the opposite of subjectivity which
is the knowledge away from personal biases and conditionings. Standpoint
epistemology brings forth its attempt to break or permeate this barrier between our
objectivity and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I, for one, believe that my discipline is in itself socialized in that our primary method
is in ethnography and interview method. Our data is primarily gathered through
immersion to societies and key individuals. However, the thing that I think we lack is
the analysis of the data and the texts that these societies have. I believe the discourse
analysis can bring us closer to understanding the people through the ways their
language function in structuring their thoughts and actions and the ways they interact
with people lying outside the contexts of their own

The castle is on the very edge of a terrible precipice. A stone falling from the
window would fall a thousand feet without touching anything! As far as the eye can
reach is a sea of green tree tops, with occasionally a deep rift where there is a chasm.
Here and there are silver threads where the rivers wind in deep gorges through the
forests.
But I am not in heart to describe beauty, for when I had seen the view I explored
further; doors, doors, doors everywhere, and all locked and bolted. In no place save
from the windows in the castle walls is there an available exit.
The castle is a veritable prison, and I am a prisoner!
Stoker s use of visual imagery demonstrates how Stoker s style differs from others.
Painting a beautiful picture of the skyline of the magnificent castle, with trees
towering the earth, with breaks of rivers that wind in deep gorges through the

Comparison Of The Arthurian Legend Of Tristan And Isoud
Tristan and Isoud The Arthurian legend of Tristan and Isoud is a timeless tale of
two people in surreptitious love. Tristan being the nephew of King Mark and his
obligation to the chivalric code are the couple s greatest hurdles inhibiting their
relationship from prospering. Isoud and Tristan s legend changes from merely
being means of entertainment about two forbidden lovers in Le Morte D Arthur,
by Thomas Malory, to having a deeper purpose in Cornwall s Wonderland, by
Mabel Quiller Couch. Couch s version of the tale provides perspective on not only
what the couple goes through, but also makes the story relatable to her readers
during the time of World War I and women s rights being limited.
World War I s impact on people at the time is devastating and Couch knows that her
audience is looking for an escape when reading, whereas Malory is simply telling a
story for the fun of it and not the details. Tristan becomes very distraught from his
loneliness and as a result he goes to Brittany to find Iseult la Blanche Mains, or Iseult
of the White Hands in an effort to ease his pain of losing his true love La Belle
Isoud. In Cornwall s Wonderland, Tristan knows that Iseult la Blanche Mains has
feelings for him and he feels that at least one person in the love triangle deserves to
be happy. Tristan says to himself that he cannot love her as she deserves, but he will
try to make her happy (Couch 228). Once he arrives to Brittany, Tristan has to fight

WATER AND ARTIFICIAL RECHARGE IN GUJARAT
GROUND WATER AND ARTIFICIAL RECHARGE IN GUJARAT
ABSTRACT
Though groundwater is an important source of irrigation in India, its availability is
non uniform in space and time. In Saurashtra region of Gujarat state, problem of
groundwater depletion has arisen due to high withdrawal than rate of replenishment
of groundwater. This also resulted in seawater intrusion in coastal areas at very high
rate. The water harvesting and groundwater recharge activities played an important
role in increasing the groundwater resource and also improved the quality of
groundwater and decreased the rate of seawater intrusion in the region. Water is

Because of the heavy exploitation of the ground water the water table of the state is
fast declining and the quality of water is also very deteriorating because of the
increase in the depth of bore wells. Interesting feature of the ground water table of
the state is, it is evenly distributed across the state but that also suggests that those
areas having scarcity of water would not get much help from the ground water
resource.
Project requirement and availability of water in the years of the 2010 and 2025 in
different regions of Gujarat Requirement of the water in Saurashtra and Kachchh
regions would increase from 131000 to 14440 lakh cubic meters in the years of
2010 and 2025 respectively. So the scarcity of the water would increase from 3360
to 4269 lakh cubic meters in saurashtra and Kachchh regions, in north Gujarat the
increment of the scarcity of the water n the same period is estimated 1418 lakh cubic
meters; while the south Gujarat region is enjoyingthe plenty of water situation and
the situation is further improving by 2327 lakh cubic meters. So the availability of
water shows vast difference in the various regions of the same state.

The Nursing Process Essay
The Nursing Process The nursing process is a very important tool that nurses have
in to make sure that they give adequate care to all their patients. It helps them not
only evaluate each patients needs individually but also allows the nurse to
prioritize which patient s needs are more important to attend to first. Just like
doctors have a way of diagnosing patients, nurses also use this process to give their
own form of diagnosis. The significance of having the nursing process is to have a
set way in which each nurse gets a care plan for the patient. Every nurse is taught the
way the nursing process go is to assess, diagnose, plan both outcomes and
interventions, implement, and evaluate. By doing these steps a nurse can not only find

Why Is Coach Carter A Movie
Coach Carter is an American biographical sports drama film inspired by a true
story of Richmond High School basketball coach, Ken Carter, who made headlines
in 1999 for benching his undefeated high school basketball team due to poor
academic results. It was released in 2005 and was directed by Thomas Carter.
There are a few reasons as to why I chose this film over many others. Firstly, Coach
Carter had a twisted storyline as compared the sports drama films. Instead of focusing
mainly on practising basketball, they work hard towards achieving better grades and
a secured future. Secondly, I think that this movie stressed on setting clear
expectations. I feel like I can relate to this as this current year will be tough in the
long run. It encourages me to plan and set better expectations to improve myself in
certain areas such as my character and education wise. This film sends the message
of how dedication and teamwork makes up a stronger team. To me, the theme in this
movie is to not give up and when the odds are against you, overcome them.

there is no perfect sporting ending for Coach Carter. I always believe that to win a
game or a battle is a form of victory, instead this movie had taught me and widen my
perception on victory. In Coach Carter, victory does not determined on their last
game but the victory is off the court in a way of how the team has come together as
one and the differences they make to their lives by changing their outlook and future.
It is true however that winning and the reward motivates us through the challenges
in our life but it s the journey itself which is made up of setbacks and challenges that
we faced and overcome, and realising on our weaknesses and strengths is what makes

Coca Col Case Study Of Coca-Cola
Summary:
On August 5, 2003, The Centre for Science and the environment (CSE) issued a
maligning news report against Coca Cola, the leading manufacturer, marketer and
distributor of non alcoholic beverages. The report stated that 12 major cold drink
brands sold in and around Delhi contained deadly pesticide residues. Other
allegations against the company were water shortages due to Coca Cola s extraction
of water from the ground water table, discharging of harmful pollutants into the fields
and rivers, including the Ganges and selling of toxic wastes as fertilizers which
further polluted the soil and water table. Also water in the community has been
deemed to be unfit for consumption due to such pollution.

INTRODUCTION:
Coca Cola, deemed to be the no.1 brand in the world has been a success in the soft

The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) issued a vilifying report against
Coca Cola and Pepsico. The CSE report revealed that a few of their products
contained harmful pesticide residues which surpassed the global standards.
SITUATION:
The CSE accusation posed great fear and concern for Coca Cola and their future
standing in India. After the discovery of the harmful pesticide residue, the Indian
Government banned Coke and Pepsico products. Subsequently, Coca Cola stock
dipped $5 in the New York Stock Exchange from $55 to $50. The two companies
responded to the accusation by stating that the CSE s reports were invalid. They
further strengthen their case by conducting an independent test whose reports showed

Case Study Of LadurГ©e
Our group Project is based on introducing the French luxury bakery and sweets
maker brand, LadurГ©e, in Hungary: the brand is mostly known for its double
decker macarons and its international expansion began in 2005 (ChocoParis, 2015).
In this assignment we are going to analyze the Hungarian market to see if the
introduction of this brand will collect a positive feedback.
In order to start, we are going to talk about LadurГ©e and give a brief explanation of
this luxury brand:
LadurГ©e was created in 1862 when Louis Ernest LadurГ©e opened a normal bakery
shop in Paris, in 16 rue Royale. But in 1871, due to a fire, the bakery was
transformed into a luxury pastry shop.

The Hungarian economy is based on the service sector which has represented
approximately the 57% of GDP in the last three years. This sector is collecting the
biggest foreign direct investments, estimated around 76,8% .

Since its entrance into the European Union, direct investment by multinationals has
been continuous, which has helped to modernize and optimize the productive system
of the country.
However, the economic market presents some inefficiencies: during the last years the
main objective has been to control inflation, because it has suffered a relevant
increase from 2011 and 2014. On the other hand, the geographical location of
Hungary in Central Europe takes a high advantage due to its extensive network of
highways and roads installations. Four European transportation facilities cross
Hungary and place the country in a strategic position connecting the various
neighboring countries and providing access to major European ports and markets of
Eastern Europe. Unfortunately the infrastructure innovation network decreased

Dangerous Minds Movie Analysis
On the surface, Dangerous Minds is a film about a teacher who helps her students to
change their lives for the better. The start of the film begins with LouAnne Johnson
accepting a full time teaching job at Carlmont High School. Ms. Johnson did not
know that the kids she would be teaching were tough and rowdy kids that come from
under privileged backgrounds. As the film goes on, Ms. Johnson wins the hearts of
her students by connecting with them and standing up for them against a resistant
administration. By doing this she inspires her students to reach their full potential.
By the end of the film, her students are begging her to stay for another year because
she has changed their lives for the better (Smith et al., 1999). This sounds like... Show

When Ms. Johnson tries to ask her students where they left off with the last teacher,
she is ignored and one student assertively told her not to ask about her and called
her white bread . Additionally, one student, Emilio, uses a harsh and aggressive tone
towards her and also makes a sexual comment in order to try and get Ms. Johnson to
leave (Smith et al., 1999). These help to prove that the message is that Ms. Johnson is
a white savior archetype of the film that has students whose help the students are
resistant to. Hughey (2014) explains that the last part of an archetype for a white
savior teacher is that the students prove themselves to be the exception to the norm
compared to the other nonwhites. This is seen through Callie, a pregnant teenager
who returns to school because Ms. Johnson convinces her to. Similarly, Ms.
Johnson convinces Raul that he can graduate and does not have to turn to the
streets for the rest of his life (Smith et al., 1999). This shows that Ms. Johnson
helped her students to beat the odds of dropping out of school or relaying on the
streets, furthering showing her as a white savior. By depicting Ms. Johnson as a
white savior, the film is saying that races are different and some races are better,
which is an essential racial ideology. Additionally, the students call her their light and
that they need her because she is the only one that believes in them (Smith et al.,
1999).

body style. However, the Demon is a totally new kind of beast. With its speed,
popularity, and overall affordability, the Dodge Demon has put itself at the top of
the charts as the best American made car in North America. The Dodge Demon

These battles fought by Canadians on water and in the air were significant
contributions to the Allied air and naval forces.
Canada s contribution in the Allied war effort did not only come from Canadian
soldiers, but also from regular, everyday citizens who never saw battle, such as
those involved in the Canadian war industry, BCATP, and the Corps of Canadian
Firefighters. The Canadian industry supplied a great deal of war materials for the
Allies, producing more than 800,000 military transport vehicles, 50,000 tanks, 40,000
field, naval, and anti aircraft guns, and 1,700,000 small arms. 6 Canada s strong war
industry was required to produce as much ammunition, weapons, and vehicles as they
could in order to defeat Germany, who had great industrial power at the time. In 1939,
Canada became the home for major recruiting and training for pilots during the
Second World War in an organization called the British Commonwealth Air Training
Plan. Throughout the war, Canada had graduated 131,533 airmen, including pilots,
navigators, bomb aimers, wireless operators, air gunners and flight engineers.7 These
men would later become involved in the war in the air, and their numbers would
greatly contribute to the Allied air superiority. During the Battle of Britain, German
air forces relentlessly bombarded London and
Ewe Genotypes
Genotype rather Than Non Genetic Behavioural Transmission Determines the
Temperament of Merino Lambs, is an article that poses the question of whether
the genotype of a mother ewe, or the environment of a lamb plays a larger part in
the overall temperament the lamb develops. To find the answer to this hypothesis,
six experiments were conducted on the different lamb to ewe demeanors. The four
possible lamb to ewe combinations, include calm to calm (C C), calm to nervous
(C N), nervous to calm (N C), and N N (nervous to nervous). To further clarify, calm
refers to sheep who are calm, or untroubled when by themselves or around humans.
By the same token, nervous is used in reference to the fearful ways in which sheep
act when they are either... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The arena test can be described by a pen full of the lamb s flock mates who are
being guarded by a motionless human (or an open field experiment used to isolate
the lamb from the ewe and study their demeanor). (1) Because of this, the test is
determining whether the desire of a lamb being with their flock mates, is stronger
than avoiding the human. On the other hand, the isolation box test is an
experiment where the agitation of the lamb is observed, when they are placed,
alone, inside of a plywood box. Both of these studies share common behaviors of
the lamb, which include the tendency to bleat and jump, the number of times they
jumped and bleated, and the number of squares they crossed. From the data
gathered from this table, it can be seen that the number of behaviors performed
between the non fostered C C and N N lambs differ exponentially. An example of
this distinction, is found in the number of bleats and tendency to jump. For the
non fostered C C pair, the lamb bleated 53.7 times, while the N N pair lamb bleated
an average of 88.6 times. Further, the C C pair lamb was found to jump 167 times,
while the N N pair only jumped an average of 16 times. This is such a drastic
difference between the two groups, which seems to negate the ideas that N N pair
lambs are more agitated easier and thus express these behaviors more frequently than
the other pairs. After examining the table, a pattern of behaviors cannot be found for
any specific groups. This is true seeing as though one pair does not constantly have
more moments of reaction than each and every other pairing and in the different
categories. Due to this, an overall opinion of a lamb s temperament based on their
genotype, environment, and the experiments given, cannot be determined. Although
there is not a significant difference in which lambs were more content or nervous, it

The National Survey on Drug use and Health found in 2014, 11. 4 percent of
adolescents aged 12 to 17 (2. 8 million adolescents) had an MDE during the past year
(SAMSHA). The pressures and struggles of being an adolescent can only be
exacerbated by major depressive episodes or even a diagnosis of major depressive
disorder. Adolescents require support for their experiences and attention needs to be
brought to their trials. . Major depression not only affects adolescents social and
academic lives, but influence, directly, their actions and decisions as well.
Adolescents can partake in numerous actions to cope with their feelings of
depression such as taking drugs. The National Survey on Drug use and Health
found that, Youths with a past year MDE in 2014 also were more likely than those
without an MDE to be users of marijuana, nonmedical users of psychotherapeutics,
users of inhalants, and users of hallucinogens in the past year (SAMSHA). The
survey shows that MDE can put adolescents at a vulnerability to participate in risky
behaviors. The world of drugs can be an outlet to deal with depression. This outlet
though may even lead to a struggle with the very substances used to cope with
their depression. The National Survey on Drug use and Health found as well that,
An estimated 340,000 adolescents aged 12 to 17 in 2014 had a co occurring MDE

Prohibition Of Marijuana, Heroin, And Other Drugs
It is also possible that drug users are irrational decision makers and might not
understand the adverse long term effects and addictive properties. Prohibition should
reduce demand through legal penalties; however, since not all drug users are rational
choice makers, demand can increase by creating a forbidden fruit effect. The
consequences of increased use add to the complexity and costs of enforcement on
both drugusers and the general population. Drug users, trying to avoid the legal
consequences of their use, often times interact with non users in ways that are
harmful and costly. Additionally, non users are also impacted by increased taxes to
pay for the enforcement, by regulations to check for drugs that take time and are
inconvenient, and by becoming innocent bystanders that can get caught in the middle
of attempted arrests, often with deadly affects.
The long federal experiment in prohibition of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and other
drugs has given us unprecedented crime and corruption combined with a manifest
failure to stop the use of drugs or reduce their availability to children. The factor that
determines the amount of violence created by prohibition is the level of enforcement.
There are two main reasons for this. One, black markets only form when the
enforcement is very strict and, two, increasingly strict enforcement leads to violence
both in making arrests and as competing suppliers seek to capture market share. The
violence not only impacts those

The deterrence of crimes will be conducted by random motorized patrols. Police
should enforce laws impartially using modern technology and solve those crimes by
use of scientific investigative methods (Filstad, Gottschalk, 2010).
Define an Agile OrganizationMany business use the agile organizational
methodology. As they require the ability to remain flexible, enduring ever changing
requirements. The agile organization develops more mission critical, high profile
systems. Sharing responsibility within small teams (of 15 or less) is also a main
principle of an agile organization. Never is a hierarchy design operational in the agile
organization, as the group possess the ability to over ride decisions made by
management. The agile type of organization displayed itself over time as an
entrepreneurial type of organization providing the high speed changing rather than
the standardization of a bureaucratic organization (Johnson, Jackson, Burrows, 2011).

common themes on social media surrounding the Toms Shoes brand. We created a
Theme chart and a sub theme chart from the largest theme. These charts can be seen

soundbites focused on the Toms One For One motto and their positive impact on
those less fortunate 2) Style, which was largely focused on the look of the shoes and
3) what we named Purchase/ want, this category was comprised of soundbites in
which people were talking about a purchase they had just made or stating that they

There were 621 mentions. People mentioned One Day Without Shoes mostly on
the event date and then it began to decrease and stopped within a week. There
were 88% positive and 12% negative comments. Some people thought it was nasty
and gross to go without shoes in crowded or public areas, but the majority thought
that it supported a good cause and were willing as well as excited to join the
campaign. Many people shared their good experience of being barefoot on that day,
which is what we expected. However, similar to the analysis of the pre event date, the
number of mentions quite still pretty small. Most of the stream came from twitter.
We recommend Toms improve their campaign. Not entirely change the campaign
but make a minor change in order to make it more exciting and so that it is not
exactly the same every year. We think that this will help boost participation and
therefore awareness of the brands mission. One way Toms could accomplish this
is by arranging a video competition, which would ask people to make their own
video doing their daily activities barefoot. They would then be asked to post the
videos on Toms Facebook. Whomevers video got the most likes would win a
reward or prize. Perhaps even a trip to one of the countries where Toms gives there

Gladwell believes that many ideas, products, messages, and behaviors we find in
society can be characterized by their rapid, exponential spread through our
population. In his book he talks about social epidemics which can be said about
how fast information is spread through and what triggers these motions. To better
understand how these technological revolutions relates to Gladwell understanding
of a tipping point, let s first take a look at current events. In the case of Eric
Gardner and Mike Brown, you could say were both tipping points into the
worldwide discussion which question the justice system, racial profiling and the
constitutional law. How did people react? Well they went on to social medial
platforms and blogs to voice their opinion which spread like wild fire from tweets to
hashtags like #nojustice, #icantbreathe, #myhandsareup and vast others. This is what
Gladwell calls a tipping point. Now imagine something of little magnitude, like
iPhone s Face time. This was another tipping point for apple which open up new
opportunities of communications. New innovations in the market world are often
tipping points that yield to businesses around the world. Word spread throughout the

Wiston was member of the ruling Party in London, i the nation of Oceania.
Everywhere he goes he is being watched through television screens, by the Party.
The Party controlled everything in Oceania, including the language. The party
was forcing a language called Newspeak which was used to prevent political
rebellion by getting rid of all the worlds related to it. Thinking thoughts, which was
called Thoughtcrime, was illegal, and was the worst of all the crimes. Winston
was frustrated by the oppression. He completely hated the Party and he illegally
bought a diary, where he illegally wrote down his thoughts. He had also became
fixated on a Party member named O Brein, who Winston thought was a part of a
mysterious group that works against the Party. Winston worked in the Ministry of
Truth. He altered historical records to fit the needs of the Party. He noticed a
coworker staring at him, and he worried that she will turn him in for his
Thoughtcrime. Winston felt troubled by the Party s control of history. The party
claimed that the alleged leader of the BrotherHood, Goldstein, was the most
dangerous man alive, but it didn t make sense to Winston. Throughout London,
Winston saw posters showing a man looking down with the words BIG BROTHER
IS WATCHING YOU everywhere he went. BigBrother was the face of the Party, but
Winston never determined whether that was true or not. Winston received a note

The Willie Lynch Speech Thesis
How to Make a Slave While reading Harriet Stowe s Uncle Tom s Cabin, it was
very clear how many of the key points in the Willie Lynch letter, Let s Make a
Slave, influenced the characteristics of the slave owners and their treatment toward
their slaves. Throughout the many encounters between slaves and owners, the
interactions were clear indicators of the possible effects of the tactics implemented
from the Willie Lynch letter. I plan to evaluate multiple situations presented in
Uncle Tom s Cabin and compare the characters personalities, and interactions with
the tactics of the Willie Lynch letter to analyze if the letter could have had an
effect on the treatment presented. The speech popularly known as the Willie
Lynch letter was given by British slave owner William Lynch (Willie Lynch, n.d).
This speech was given on the bank of the James river, in Virginia, on December 25,
1712 (Willie Lynch, n.d). William Lynch was invited to come from his West Indies
plantation to give the local slave owners of Virginia advices on slave control, due to
southern slave owners violent acts toward slaves such as the multiple hangings that
occurred (Willie Lynch, n.d). The advice that was given by William Lynch is
infamously known... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Haley s perceptions of slaves becomes more apparent later in this chapter when Mr.

feels that Harry can easily be replaced by earrings as long as the boy isn t taken in
her sight because slaves are critters (810). I believe this relates to William Lynch s
speech because the tactics that Lynch advises slave owners to implement essentially
encourages the desensitization toward slaves that seemingly occurs often. Mr. Haley
s intentions primarily focus on profits gained rather than emotionality and turmoil

studies are useful in clinical studies. To better understand a clinical study first, it is
important to take in consideration that there are key words that we need to read

is a difference between all the studies that scientists used to determinate the
relationship of a disease status and an exposure. These studies are experimental

Stigmatization Of Immigrants Essay
Imagine walking down a dark and dimly lit corridor. The only thing that can be

grows dimmer and the light from the end becomes brighter and brighter, as if it was

and another pointing towards international security. Once you enter the international
security cue, you get the feeling as if everyone is watching. When it is your turn to

the purpose of your visit? How many days are you staying? It is as if they are

This adding of high income and low income earners, shrinks the job market for most
immigrants, making it harder and harder for immigrants to get out of poverty. One
might constitute the question, that if the poverty rate is so high why do immigrants
not have multiple jobs? The fact is, that immigrants do have multiple jobs, but it is
very difficult because These immigrants presumably compete for the same jobs
held by the least skilled native workers... (Card 2). For immigrants it is a constant
cycle of competition from United States citizens and other immigrants. It has been
said, The increase in poverty among immigrants is driven mostly by the changing
national origin composition of the foreign born (Card 3). With the increasing
populations of immigrants, job will become harder and harder to come by, which
leads immigrants to turn to a life of crime. ¬¬¬¬A life of crime for most
immigrants is not their first choice, but it may be the only way for them to provide
for their families. A recent study stated, that the incarceration rate for immigrants are,
0.85 percent for illegal immigrants, and 0.47 percent for legal immigrants
(Landgrave). So the blanket statement that immigrants cause crime has been
profoundly falsified. The same study also stated that, The incarceration rate was 1.53
percent for natives (Landgrave). So why are immigrants being
Homeless Population After A Two Week Program
Homelessness, once viewed as transient and situational, has become a growing public
health problem that has escaped ready solutions (Bassuk et al., 2014). Homeless
population has been increasing in the United States drastically, and with the increase
in the homeless population it is also important to provide a comforting environment
for the homeless population. Many of the homeless population come from various
backgrounds and they don t choose to be homeless but the circumstances lead them to
be homeless. Consequently, the at risk population that is facing harsh circumstances
needs to have an environment in which they can feel comfortable in and have an
access to the basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shower facilities. Therefore,
the volunteers at the facilities that helps the homeless population need to have a
knowledge in which ways they should react with the homeless population. In a study
conducted by Buchanan et.al (2004) it focused on exploring the attitudes of primary
care residents regarding the homeless population after a two week program. The
program had 4 sections that included lectures, clinical sessions, and tours of
community programs serving the homeless people, case discussion, and hearing
personal narratives of homeless population. Along with these sections the residents
learned about the demographics and origins of the homelessness, common medical
conditions, and emphasis on teaching about everyday life of the homelessness. The
attitudes were

acting like Presidents of course the UK Prime Minister cannot actually become a
President as the system would not allow it. Below I shall be analysing and

These sorts of powers would generally be associated with a President, not a Prime
Minister. In the USA, the President and the houses are elected separately, however
in the UK, the Prime Minister is elected, primarily, as an MP it is the leader of the
winning party who gets the role of Prime Minister. However, in recent years,
election campaigns have become really personalised focussing more on the party
leader s personality, strengths and weaknesses rather than the party s policies,
promises and ideas as a whole. The lead up to the next general election
demonstrates this: the party leaders of the three major parties have become the face
of their party s election campaign. The media concentrates more on the party leader
rather than the party as a whole just like in USA. For the first time in British history,
there is going to be live debates between the three leaders again just like the run up to
the American general elections. These points highlight that the UK is beginning to
adopt some American, presidential traditions, it can be said that this is a strong sign
that presidentialism is growing in the UK. Although the UK Prime Minister is elected
separately through Parliamentary elections, unlike the USA President, there is a
trend for Prime Ministers to claim popular authority on the basis of electoral victory.
Prime Ministers have therefore become the ideological consciences of their

Biological Weapons Of Mass Destruction Essay
Biological Weapons of Mass Destruction
One of the three serious weapons used for mass destruction is biological.
Historically, biological weapons are the oldest form of WMD and have been in
use since the Medieval Ages. During medieval times corpses were placed on
catapults and launched into an enemy s water or food supply to poison is and cause
deadly infections. As far as being used the United States, in 1763 when British
officers planned to distribute blankets with smallpox (eku, 2017). In this era the use
of biological weapons was new and thought this particular strategy was necessary to

Smallpox is another highly contagious viral disease that shows signs of high fever,
severe weakness, and an eruption of pimples that blister, produce pus, and form
pockmarks on the body. The most common three ways biological weapons work
are: One is contact with the skin, two is gastrointestinal, and three is pulmonary
(eku, 2011). Biological weapons are very serious and any country, state, or city
being threatened by this needs to take it very seriously. Not only is this type of
weapon hazardous but it is actually pretty easy to create and get a hold of. Terrorist
groups are drawn to easy ways to create panic and chaos, threatening to release this
type of weapon will definitely cause that. A biological attack can not only cause
sickness and death in one particular area, but can also spread from one country to
another due to how easily it can be spread.
Chemical Weapons of Mass Destruction
Chemical weapons are manmade poisons that are made to kill, injure, and
incapacitate others. They are dangerous because they are silent and are often
invisible to the naked eye. They typically attack different parts of the body like skin,
lungs, and can make you confused of what is going around you. Types of chemical
weapons include blister agents, blood agents, choking hazard agents, nerve agents,
tear gas, vomiting agents and psychiatric compounds. . These agents can be sarin,

Essay On Patent Systems
Law Regulations (ACE 592) Juhi Tomar 1. Patent systems allows inventors all
around the world to file and claim some form of intellectual property as their
invention which gives them exclusive rights to make use of this property for a
certain period of time (usually 20 years), after which it is available for public use.
The inventor must release all details regarding the invention which are needed to
utilize the property by experts/professionals in the field. The patent system gives rise
to many economic implications such as the increase in innovation due to the
incentivization received by the inventors, increase in cooperation among firms in the
market and in many cases, decrease in innovation due to broad patents or hoarding of
patents... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another economic impact of the patent system is the increase in cooperation among
different firms in the market which has a vital role in build or buy decisions within
companies. Patents serve as a definable and transferrable asset among inventors,
adopters and commercializers. Doing so, they form the basis of the market for
inventions. A patented invention can be shared among companies through licensing,
thus reducing the need for vertical integration which in turn reduces costs, the most
common example being Microsoft Office licenses used in almost every company,
rather than designing their own similar software like Zoho Corporation, who have
their own version of the software. An example of cooperation between firms which
influenced build/buy decision would be the cooperation between Coca Cola and
Hewlett Packard, which involved the usage of HP s Indigo Digital Printing
technology to create millions of new and unique labels for Coca Cola as part of their
new, combined marketing and packaging strategies. Broad patents or the hoarding of
patents by a small number of inventors can cause a significant decrease in
competition, which greatly affects the innovation and evolution of the market. A
good example would be the mobile phone industry with a highly uneven distribution
of patents between a small number of companies. The degree of

How Stress Is Defined As A Negative Emotional State
Occurring
In the book Discovering Psychology Stress is defined as A negative emotional
state occurring in response to events that are perceived as taxing or exceeding a
person s resources or ability to cope. (Hockenbury, 2014, p.497). Everyone deals
with stress at some point or another, it s part of life. How that stress can affect a
person all depends on their personality. A person can have a personality that allows
them to deal with stress well, or one that doesn t . In this paper, I ll be analyzing
multiple sources of stress in my life, how I cope with each of them, and what
contributes to them. After doing so, I ll also analyze my personality, and give ways I
can prevent and reduce future stress. The multiple forms of stress I deal with... Show

Hassles are inconsequential to me in the long run when it comes to stress. Cultural
and expectational stress are the most prevalent forms of stress that I deal with. Both
of these are due to my family as they originate from a collectivist culture. Although
that should, by definition make it easier for me to cope with stress, it doesn t. I
find it hard relying on my immediate family for help coping with stress as they re
usually part of the reason behind it. My cultural stress originates from my
immediate family s large emphasis on religion, which is especially taxing given
the fact that I m secretly agnostic. Due to family pressure and circumstances I still
have to pretend I believe. As I hate being dishonest, especially with my family, I
have a certain degree of emotional stress whenever my father asks me join him in
prayer five times a day. Social support from my friends allows me to cope with this
emotional stress. By talking with my friends about the subject, I m able to vent my
anger and frustration so it doesn t build up and cause more problems. When it
comes to my expectational stress, it s mainly due to my education. My family
expects me to get a good degree and a high paying job. Since they re
Outer Conditions And Strengths That Can Impact The...
For any association, the earth comprises of the arrangement of outer conditions and
strengths that can possibly impact the association. On account of Subway, for
instance, nature contains its clients, its adversaries, for example, McDonald s and
Kentucky Fried Chicken, social patterns, for example, the move in the public eye
toward more advantageous eating, political substances, for example, the US
Congress, and numerous extra conditions and strengths.
It is helpful to break the idea of nature down into two segments. The general
environment (or macro environment) incorporates general patterns and occasions in
the public arena, for example, social patterns, innovative patterns, socioeconomics,
and financial conditions. The business (or aggressive environment) comprises of
various associations that on the whole contend with each other by giving comparable
products, administrations, or both.
Each move that an association makes, for example, raising its costs or propelling a
promoting effort, makes some level of changes in it s general surroundings. Most
associations are constrained to impacting their industry. Metro s turn to cut salt in its
sandwiches, for instance, may lead other fast food firms to return to the measure of
salt contained in their items. A couple of associations employ such power and impact
that they can shape a few components of the general environment. While most
associations essentially respond to major innovative patterns, for instance, the

Australia s Potential Uranium Mining Industry
Summary
Australia s Uranium Resource Position Australia is the world‟s richest country in
terms of uranium resources. Australia‟s uranium resources are spread over 85

„Three Mines Policy‟
The „Three Mine Policy‟ became effective after the Labor Party was voted
into power in 1983. In the same month as taking office the new Federal Labour
Government revoked the negotiating licences of the uranium companies in Australia.
The Ranger and Narbarlek mines were relicensed after reapplication and in
November of 1983
Caucus voted to approve the Roxby Downs project (today known as Olympic Dam)
and prevent the operation of any new uranium mines. In the 1984 ALP National
Conference the Government amended its party platform and its new position became
known as the „Three Mines Policy‟. (Panter, Kay 1994)
In 2007 the newly appointed Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced a change in
uranium mining policy which led to the end of the 23 year old „Three mine
policy‟ in order to promote the future of Australia. Currently

The Science That Is Connected With Planet Earth
Geomagnetic Storms
Introduction
The science that is connected with planet earth encompasses Earth Science among
others. Geomagnetic storms, also known as a magnetic storm, a solar storm, or
space weather is a disturbance in the Earth s magnetic field (magnetosphere) caused
by energy and flows of charged elements or plasma from the Sun. Solar storms come
in a variety of forms, each capable of distinguishing brands of possible danger. Most
magnetic storms are aimed away from Earth, but when a storm positions in our
direction, space weathermen begin to analyze what sort of space weather it may
produce, and how soon to anticipate the chaos [Wisconsin State Journal. P.A2].
Deliberation
What starts a geomagnetic storm is an event called solar flares or an extremely large
cloud of solar material called a coronal mass ejection (CME). When these charged
particles get near the earth s magnetic field, due to the increased magnitudes in solar
wind, the magnetic field accelerates towards the geomagnetic poles, therefore causing
the phenomena called aurora borealis or northern lights. The other effect of a
magnetic storm causes the geomagnetic field to become highly unstable due to the
change and distribution of density, as a result, the ions in the earth s ionosphere
become agitated, resulting in disorder; a massive disruption in our technical systems
[Wisconsin State Journal P.A2]. The Sun s temperature shows a discrepancy on an
11 year solar cycle that is defined by the increasing

Ruby Archuleta and Amarante Cordova Define Community
Community is defined as a group a people living in an area under the same conditions.
Realistically, a community is so much more than this definition. It is people and their
different beliefs that form a community. In the town of Milagro, Amarante Cordova,
Ruby Archuleta, and a town coming together to rescue a fellow community member
from jail exemplify the true spirit of what community is.
Ruby Archuleta makes the biggest difference in bringing the community together.
Ruby is the only member of the community to take intuitive and start fighting for the
rights of the Milagro citizens. While everyone is waiting around to see what will

Ruby knows the people are reluctant to sign it, but this does not stop her. During a
four day rain storm, where the whole town is shut down, she goes out and tries to get
people to sign the petition. The conditions are so treacherous that her truck gets stuck
in the mud. She is so determined to get people to sign the petition that she then rides
her horse until it almost dies from exhaustion. If it were not for Ruby Archuleta s
determination to the community the Milagro citizens would not have overcome Ladd
Devine s Miracle Valley Land and Water Project.
Amarante Cordova is one of the oldest people in Milagro, but age does not always
carry wisdom; it comes with experience. Amarante has experienced a lot living in
Milagro all of his life. He knows that the bean field is one of the best things ever to
occur in Milagro. He is sure of one thing, that he is there to protect the field and it is
his god give right to protect the field. Milagro is the only thing that matters to
Cordova. The community is everything, there is nothing going on outside of the
mountains. Milagro is the one thing that matters. Cordova is a very influential part of
the community, but he is too old to make a difference in the growth of Milagro.
Towards the ending there is a very powerful scene were the whole town comes and
meets in front of the police station. The energy is overwhelming and captivating.
While Joe Mondgragon is held captive in side the police station,
The Roles of Jennifer Lawrence and Mile Cyrus as Role...
Celebrities have a great effect on the people we become. Some people spend so
much time consumed by the entertainment world that they begin to idolize certain
celebrities in hopes of becoming like them. Two major starlets in the eye of
countless teenage girls around the world would be Jennifer Lawrence, known for her
starring role as Katniss Everdeen in the film The Hunger Games, and Miley Cyrus, a
hit singer with number one songs, We Can t Stop and Wrecking Ball . These two
stars both have large and supportive fan bases, but which celebrity is the better role
model for teenage girls is the question at hand. Jennifer Lawrence is a better role
model for teenage girls than Miley Cyrus because of her beliefs, modesty, and
humbleness.

For instance, Lawrence opts for classic, modest styles when attending red carpet
events. Lawrence s clothing choices almost always leave the rest of her body up to
the imagination. In contrast, Cyrus does whatever she pleases without keeping the
society watching in mind. For example, she recently performed at the Video Music
Awards in immodest clothing while dancing provocatively. Her music videos have
often included footage of her with just her bare body. The idyllic style of Jennifer
Lawrence outshines the distasteful style of Miley Cyrus, making Jennifer
Lawrence the better role model. Finally, Jennifer Lawrence is a better role model
for teenage girls than Miley Cyrus because of her humbleness. Celebrities typically
have a difficult time with relating to teenage, but Jennifer Lawrence makes it seem
easy. Lawrence shows she is humble by simply being herself and not caring about
what Hollywood has to say about her. For example, Jennifer Lawrence had this to
say about her career: Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid. Everybody s like,
How can you remain with a level head? And I m like, Why would I ever get cocky?
I m not saving anybody s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run
into burning buildings. I m making movies. It s stupid. (61 Hilariously) Despite her
star status, she still remains humble. Unlike Lawrence, Miley Cyrus lives the

The walls of the chariot, or the box, were generally leather with a lightweight
wooden frame. Within the box were two men, a driver and a warrior. Projecting
from the chariot was a long pole angled upward and attached to a yoke , which was
mounted on the horses backs. At first there were two horses pulling each chariot, it
is believed later on the setup was changed to fit four horses. On the right side of the
chariot, the driver s job was to control the horses and to get the warrior in the best
position to make his attacks. His attacks could be made with a bow and arrow, spear,
mace, sword or dagger, however the bow was normally a prime choice for the
average warrior. A typical warrior riding into battle was in full armor and ready to
defend his chariot at all costs. The use of chariots spread very quickly as their
effectiveness was easily recognizable. The Shang of China adopted the concept of
chariots and modified them to fit three men. These three men were made up of a
driver, a warrior and his servant whose role was to replenish his arrows and have
weapons ready for his use at all times. In the Chinese culture, the chariots were used
as a way to jump into a new social class as well. Horses were so rare to own and
expensive to acquire that only the few who were wealthy enough to buy horses were
able to be noble
Adolescent Language And Literacy Development
ADOLESCENT LANGUAGE AND LITERACY DEVELOPMENT
LESLEY CHU TSZ TING z5021045 Literacy acts as a very significant role in the
out of school lives of adolescents. At the most elementary level, academics and policy
makers have come to an agreement that the term literacy refers to the writing and
reading of published texts. Nevertheless, to a more extensive extent, literacy at the

acts as a medium that can help a teenager find ways to work through and interconnect
their yet to come goals or future job prospects.
Over the past few years, education providers and policy makers have put large
prominence on the importance of early literacy, but have also paid less consideration
to the teenage literacy improvement. According to figures in the United States of
America, most teenagers have deficiency in the more advanced literacy,
comprehension and writing skills that are significant for them in prospering in
Theory Of Property Rights By Harold Demsetz
Theory of Property Rights By Harold Demsetz (UChicago)
The concept and role of property rights
It this first part, Demsetz offers a more theoretical foundation for the concepts he will
use in the following parts. The author starts defining the idea of property rights and
differentiating how they transmit the right to benefit or harm oneself or others. After,
he links it with the recognition a close relationship between property rights and
externalities. The process of Internalizing such effects refers to a change in property
rights, that enables these effects to bear (in greater degree) on all interacting persons.
They become part of the economy.
The example of the military draft is used later to show how the costs of
internalization have to be higher to its gains. The lower the cost the greater the
number of transactions and the degree to which they take place.
Lastly, in this section, Demsetz defines the framework of his analysis, what would
happen if transaction costs of internalizing were zero? There are two main
implications, on the first one he states that the output mix is efficient for all players
involved. Secondly, that the mix is independent of who is assigned the ownership.

Bribri And Kokogi Summary
The Bribri civilization of Costa Rica/Panama and the Kogi civilization of Colombia
were believed to be a secondary area to the Mesoamerican and South American
civilizations. However, differences began to surface that distinguished the Bribri and
the Kogi from civilizations of Mesoamerica. They formed part of the Isthmo
Colombian Area, therefore similarities were expected to exist between the Bribri and
the Kogi. These similarities were understood through the rituals that the Bribri and
Kogi practiced. Nevertheless, there are a few links that tie the Bribri and the Kogi
civilization back to the Mesoamerican civilization. The Bribri and the Kogi share

civilizations of the Isthmo Colombian Area and the Mesoamerican civilization is the
concept of primordial time. In the case Bribri when the shaman was conducting the

generations of shaman masters. The day was dedicated to daily activities. We see
primordial time through the change of day and night. The night takes the shaman
back into the memories of previous generations. Similarly, we see this in the Maya a
Mesoamerican civilization. In the case of the Maya we see how time never occurs in

In his first season in Canada, he did not play very much. This is true because the
Dodgers wanted to keep him a secret from other teams. They did this by benching
him when every he was good. They had trouble with this because he was a great

benched so many times he wanted to quit. Fortunately for him, the owner of the
Dodgers Branch Rickey resigned and then became the owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates

The Renissance was a Cultural Movement of Humanism
The Renaissance was a cultural movement that spanned the period roughly from the
14th to 17th century, beginning in Italy in the Late Middle Ages and later spreading
to the rest of Europe. The term renaissance came from the French word meaning
rebirth . The defining concept of the Renaissancewas humanism. Humanism was a
distinct movement because it broke from the medieval tradition of having pious
religious motivation for creating art or works of literature. The Renaissance
humanism was a collection of Greek and Roman teachings, undertaken by scholars,
writers, and civic leaders who are known as Renaissance humanists. During the
Renaissance, secularism showed itself when people would show a higher interest in
human achievements and how these achievements fulfilled their world. Also,
secularism, at the time of the Renaissance, exhibited itself in the development of
humanism, when people began to show more interest in human cultural achievements
and the possibilities of their fulfillment in this world. As the Renaissance developed,
Individualism became a famous theme in Italy. Individualism is the political
philosophy, that emphasize the moral worth of the individual. Many philosophers
wrote about the potential of man and developed their own beliefs as to the kind of
person an individual should aim to be. These views inspired many people to invest in
their studies of the arts and humanities, and as a result, many significant
achievements came out of the Renaissance.

  • 1. Original Essays Crafting an essay on the subject of "Original Essays" is a paradoxical endeavor. On the one hand, the topic invites a certain level of creative freedom, encouraging writers to explore unconventional ideas and unique perspectives. However, this very freedom can pose a significant challenge. The expectation to produce something truly original can be a daunting task, as the pressure to break away from conventional norms and clichГ©s looms large. Originality requires more than just a departure from the beaten path; it demands a deep understanding of existing narratives and a keen awareness of the boundaries that delineate common discourse. The process of generating novel ideas and weaving them into a coherent essay involves a delicate dance between innovation and coherence. One must navigate the fine line between pushing the boundaries of thought and ensuring that the essay remains accessible and relatable to the audience. Moreover, the search for originality may lead to a sense of isolation. In a world saturated with information and ideas, finding a truly unique perspective can feel like a solitary journey. The fear of redundancy and the constant awareness of the vast body of existing literature on any given topic can be paralyzing, hindering the creative process. Yet, it is precisely within this challenge that the beauty of writing on original essays emerges. The struggle to break free from the ordinary is a testament to the writer's commitment to intellectual exploration. It requires a willingness to embrace discomfort, to question established norms, and to persist in the pursuit of something genuinely new. In conclusion, writing an essay on "Original Essays" is a task that demands both courage and creativity. It invites writers to confront the inherent difficulties of treading uncharted territory while acknowledging the importance of grounding their ideas in a recognizable framework. It is a balancing act that challenges the writer to defy expectations while maintaining coherence—a challenge that, in the end, can be as rewarding as it is arduous. If you find yourself grappling with such challenges or seeking inspiration, you might discover that there are resources available to assist you. Websites like HelpWriting.net offer a plethora of essays and writing services, providing a valuable support system for those navigating the intricate landscape of originality in writing. • 2. Antontin Artaud And The True Purpose Of Art And Art In 1931, Antonin Artaud experienced a painting by Lucus Ven Den Leyden which he saw in the Louvre in Paris. Gazing at this fifteenth century painting of a Biblical story, The Daughters of Lot , Artaud became aware of how it moved him in a deep, dark, mystical way from just a single glance. It was his connection to this painting that inspired him to believe in a theatre without words that could move people in the same way. Artaud had a desire to bring theatre back to its original purpose. In his 1932 letter to Jean Paulhan he wrote, The true purpose of theatre is to create myths, to express life in its immense universal aspect, and from that life to extract images in which we find pleasure in discovering ourselves . (Plunka 20) He believed the western world had lost the true meaning of theatre. Discontented by the theatre of his time, he concluded that the west had lost touch with the language of the theatre by focusing mainly on the use of words; the dialogue. He believed that theatre had its own language which he called Spatial Poetry . (Read 183) When Artaud experienced this painting he began to consider it a type of ritualistic staging resembling that of a theatrical performance . (CITE FROM SOMEWHERE) He found in this painting mystic properties that could be projected materially by using the true language of the stage. Artaud was also deeply disturbed by the way society was placing undue burdens upon the individual. The theatre of his time, which had great

We were thought how to crack our own passwords using a method called john the ripper . We also found out how secure various passwords and how long it would take for a desktop Pc to crack these passwords. We looked up various methods and applications to crack passwords. • 6. Objectivity And Standpoint Epistemology Throughout the history of epistemology, we are baffled by the haunting spectre of objectifying our knowledge claims to attain certitude in our knowledge systems. There are different systems in accordance with our different times and we are always in the drive to dispute those who have come before us. However, the main question is what does it mean to be objective? Philosophers have always anchored the perspective of objectivity along the lines of truth the allegiance of our claims to the reality of the world. Others have anchored it on the opposite of subjectivity which is the knowledge away from personal biases and conditionings. Standpoint epistemology brings forth its attempt to break or permeate this barrier between our objectivity and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I, for one, believe that my discipline is in itself socialized in that our primary method is in ethnography and interview method. Our data is primarily gathered through immersion to societies and key individuals. However, the thing that I think we lack is the analysis of the data and the texts that these societies have. I believe the discourse analysis can bring us closer to understanding the people through the ways their language function in structuring their thoughts and actions and the ways they interact with people lying outside the contexts of their own
  • 7. Beauty And Image In Bram Stoker s Dracula Nicholas Bennis AP Literature and Composition Ms. Lawson 21 November 2017 Haunted The castle is on the very edge of a terrible precipice. A stone falling from the window would fall a thousand feet without touching anything! As far as the eye can reach is a sea of green tree tops, with occasionally a deep rift where there is a chasm. Here and there are silver threads where the rivers wind in deep gorges through the forests. But I am not in heart to describe beauty, for when I had seen the view I explored further; doors, doors, doors everywhere, and all locked and bolted. In no place save from the windows in the castle walls is there an available exit. The castle is a veritable prison, and I am a prisoner! Stoker s use of visual imagery demonstrates how Stoker s style differs from others. Painting a beautiful picture of the skyline of the magnificent castle, with trees towering the earth, with breaks of rivers that wind in deep gorges through the forest. , the reader gets an image of peace and nature. Then immediatly after, we see a complete 180 from what the beautiful picture of the castle and landscape to a place of depression and internal conflict, Harker feels trapped and no longer feels like a guest in Dracula s castle. Stoker s use of imagery and shift in tone, from beauty and peace to imprisonment and fear shows his style, a form of uneasy peace and beauty in this quote. We are in Transylvania; and Transylvania is not England. Our ways are not your ways, and there
  • 8. Comparison Of The Arthurian Legend Of Tristan And Isoud Tristan and Isoud The Arthurian legend of Tristan and Isoud is a timeless tale of two people in surreptitious love. Tristan being the nephew of King Mark and his obligation to the chivalric code are the couple s greatest hurdles inhibiting their relationship from prospering. Isoud and Tristan s legend changes from merely being means of entertainment about two forbidden lovers in Le Morte D Arthur, by Thomas Malory, to having a deeper purpose in Cornwall s Wonderland, by Mabel Quiller Couch. Couch s version of the tale provides perspective on not only what the couple goes through, but also makes the story relatable to her readers during the time of World War I and women s rights being limited. World War I s impact on people at the time is devastating and Couch knows that her audience is looking for an escape when reading, whereas Malory is simply telling a story for the fun of it and not the details. Tristan becomes very distraught from his loneliness and as a result he goes to Brittany to find Iseult la Blanche Mains, or Iseult of the White Hands in an effort to ease his pain of losing his true love La Belle Isoud. In Cornwall s Wonderland, Tristan knows that Iseult la Blanche Mains has feelings for him and he feels that at least one person in the love triangle deserves to be happy. Tristan says to himself that he cannot love her as she deserves, but he will try to make her happy (Couch 228). Once he arrives to Brittany, Tristan has to fight an earl by the name of

Because of the heavy exploitation of the ground water the water table of the state is fast declining and the quality of water is also very deteriorating because of the increase in the depth of bore wells. Interesting feature of the ground water table of the state is, it is evenly distributed across the state but that also suggests that those areas having scarcity of water would not get much help from the ground water resource. Project requirement and availability of water in the years of the 2010 and 2025 in different regions of Gujarat Requirement of the water in Saurashtra and Kachchh regions would increase from 131000 to 14440 lakh cubic meters in the years of 2010 and 2025 respectively. • 10. The Nursing Process Essay The Nursing Process The nursing process is a very important tool that nurses have in to make sure that they give adequate care to all their patients. It helps them not only evaluate each patients needs individually but also allows the nurse to prioritize which patient s needs are more important to attend to first. Just like doctors have a way of diagnosing patients, nurses also use this process to give their own form of diagnosis. The significance of having the nursing process is to have a set way in which each nurse gets a care plan for the patient. Every nurse is taught the way the nursing process go is to assess, diagnose, plan both outcomes and interventions, implement, and evaluate. By doing these steps a nurse can not only find ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance was a specific case in Columbus Hospital where the oncoming nurse failed to assess a patient and take vitals due to the patient being asleep, little did the nurse know that the medication being prescribed to the patient was altering his state of mind. The patient had shown signs earlier of being altered by asking to be secluded and didn t want any nursing care even though he was under postoperative care. Ultimately the patient ended up dying from a fall out a 3rd floor window. Had the nurse communicated to the doctor the changes she notice and also reassessed him then his death possibly could ve been avoided. Expert testimony opined that the nurse was negligent in failing to adequately monitor Mr. Busta (patient) on the evening and night before he died, and in failing to report the constellation of signs and symptoms to the surgeon; and that the hospital was negligent in failing to maintain a safe environment (Croke, 2003). This incident cost the hospital a lot of money due to one nurses negligence, had the nurse just followed the nursing process and assess him then this is something that could ve been avoided. The process doesn t stop at evaluate, it keeps going, you constantly reassess and diagnose and intervene because a patient s needs are constantly changing. References Ackley, B. J.,
  • 11. Why Is Coach Carter A Movie Coach Carter is an American biographical sports drama film inspired by a true story of Richmond High School basketball coach, Ken Carter, who made headlines in 1999 for benching his undefeated high school basketball team due to poor academic results. It was released in 2005 and was directed by Thomas Carter. There are a few reasons as to why I chose this film over many others. Firstly, Coach Carter had a twisted storyline as compared the sports drama films. Instead of focusing mainly on practising basketball, they work hard towards achieving better grades and a secured future. Secondly, I think that this movie stressed on setting clear expectations. I feel like I can relate to this as this current year will be tough in the long run. It encourages me to plan and set better expectations to improve myself in certain areas such as my character and education wise. This film sends the message of how dedication and teamwork makes up a stronger team. To me, the theme in this movie is to not give up and when the odds are against you, overcome them. Unlike many films, there is no perfect sporting ending for Coach Carter. I always believe that to win a game or a battle is a form of victory, instead this movie had taught me and widen my perception on victory. In Coach Carter, victory does not determined on their last game but the victory is off the court in a way of how the team has come together as one and the differences they make to their lives by changing their outlook and future. It is true however that winning and the reward motivates us through the challenges in our life but it s the journey itself which is made up of setbacks and challenges that we faced and overcome, and realising on our weaknesses and strengths is what makes us achieves
  • 12. Coca Col Case Study Of Coca-Cola Summary: On August 5, 2003, The Centre for Science and the environment (CSE) issued a maligning news report against Coca Cola, the leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of non alcoholic beverages. The report stated that 12 major cold drink brands sold in and around Delhi contained deadly pesticide residues. Other allegations against the company were water shortages due to Coca Cola s extraction of water from the ground water table, discharging of harmful pollutants into the fields and rivers, including the Ganges and selling of toxic wastes as fertilizers which further polluted the soil and water table. INTRODUCTION: Coca Cola, deemed to be the no.1 brand in the world has been a success in the soft drink industry over 100 years. However, with these success were a number of crisis that followed along the way. One such crisis was the 2003 Coca Cola crisis, when The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) issued a vilifying report against Coca Cola and Pepsico. The CSE report revealed that a few of their products contained harmful pesticide residues which surpassed the global standards. SITUATION: The CSE accusation posed great fear and concern for Coca Cola and their future standing in India. After the discovery of the harmful pesticide residue, the Indian Government banned Coke and Pepsico products. Subsequently, Coca Cola stock dipped $5 in the New York Stock Exchange from $55 to $50. The two companies responded to the accusation by stating that the CSE s reports were invalid. They further strengthen their case by conducting an independent test whose reports showed no detectable signs of

In this assignment we are going to analyze the Hungarian market to see if the introduction of this brand will collect a positive feedback. In order to start, we are going to talk about LadurГ©e and give a brief explanation of this luxury brand: LadurГ©e was created in 1862 when Louis Ernest LadurГ©e opened a normal bakery shop in Paris, in 16 rue Royale. But in 1871, due to a fire, the bakery was transformed into a luxury pastry shop. Later, Pierre Desfontaines, the grand son of Louis Ernest LadurГ©e, came up with ... Since its entrance into the European Union, direct investment by multinationals has been continuous, which has helped to modernize and optimize the productive system of the country. However, the economic market presents some inefficiencies: during the last years the main objective has been to control inflation, because it has suffered a relevant increase from 2011 and 2014. On the other hand, the geographical location of Hungary in Central Europe takes a high advantage due to its extensive network of highways and roads installations. Four European transportation facilities cross Hungary and place the country in a strategic position connecting the various neighboring countries and providing access to major European ports and markets of Eastern Europe. • 17. Dangerous Minds Movie Analysis On the surface, Dangerous Minds is a film about a teacher who helps her students to change their lives for the better. The start of the film begins with LouAnne Johnson accepting a full time teaching job at Carlmont High School. Ms. Johnson did not know that the kids she would be teaching were tough and rowdy kids that come from under privileged backgrounds. As the film goes on, Ms. Johnson wins the hearts of her students by connecting with them and standing up for them against a resistant administration. By doing this she inspires her students to reach their full potential. By the end of the film, her students are begging her to stay for another year because she has changed their lives for the better (Smith et al., 1999). This sounds like... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Ms. Johnson tries to ask her students where they left off with the last teacher, she is ignored and one student assertively told her not to ask about her and called her white bread . Additionally, one student, Emilio, uses a harsh and aggressive tone towards her and also makes a sexual comment in order to try and get Ms. Johnson to leave (Smith et al., 1999). These help to prove that the message is that Ms. Johnson is a white savior archetype of the film that has students whose help the students are resistant to. Hughey (2014) explains that the last part of an archetype for a white savior teacher is that the students prove themselves to be the exception to the norm compared to the other nonwhites. This is seen through Callie, a pregnant teenager who returns to school because Ms. Johnson convinces her to. Similarly, Ms. Johnson convinces Raul that he can graduate and does not have to turn to the streets for the rest of his life (Smith et al., 1999). This shows that Ms. Johnson helped her students to beat the odds of dropping out of school or relaying on the streets, furthering showing her as a white savior. By depicting Ms. Johnson as a white savior, the film is saying that races are different and some races are better, which is an essential racial ideology. Additionally, the students call her their light and that they need her because she is the only one that believes in them (Smith et al., 1999).

Being released in 2018, the Dodge Demon has established a very reputable name for itself. The Demon is a new model of the SRT lineup based on the Challenger body style. However, the Demon is a totally new kind of beast. With its speed, popularity, and overall affordability, the Dodge Demon has put itself at the top of the charts as the best American made car in North America. The Dodge Demon puts out an impressive amount of power. With a 6.2L V8 engine paired with a 2.7L supercharger, the Demon can exert a whopping 840 horsepower with 770 pounds of torque to the rear axle. This amount of power is great, but Dodge then paired the Demon with Radial tires, a bonus when it comes to drag racing. These battles fought by Canadians on water and in the air were significant contributions to the Allied air and naval forces. Canada s contribution in the Allied war effort did not only come from Canadian soldiers, but also from regular, everyday citizens who never saw battle, such as those involved in the Canadian war industry, BCATP, and the Corps of Canadian Firefighters. The Canadian industry supplied a great deal of war materials for the Allies, producing more than 800,000 military transport vehicles, 50,000 tanks, 40,000 field, naval, and anti aircraft guns, and 1,700,000 small arms. 6 Canada s strong war industry was required to produce as much ammunition, weapons, and vehicles as they could in order to defeat Germany, who had great industrial power at the time. In 1939, Canada became the home for major recruiting and training for pilots during the Second World War in an organization called the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Throughout the war, Canada had graduated 131,533 airmen, including pilots, navigators, bomb aimers, wireless operators, air gunners and flight engineers.7 These men would later become involved in the war in the air, and their numbers would greatly contribute to the Allied air superiority. • 20. Ewe Genotypes Genotype rather Than Non Genetic Behavioural Transmission Determines the Temperament of Merino Lambs, is an article that poses the question of whether the genotype of a mother ewe, or the environment of a lamb plays a larger part in the overall temperament the lamb develops. To find the answer to this hypothesis, six experiments were conducted on the different lamb to ewe demeanors. The four possible lamb to ewe combinations, include calm to calm (C C), calm to nervous (C N), nervous to calm (N C), and N N (nervous to nervous). To further clarify, calm refers to sheep who are calm, or untroubled when by themselves or around humans. The arena test can be described by a pen full of the lamb s flock mates who are being guarded by a motionless human (or an open field experiment used to isolate the lamb from the ewe and study their demeanor). (1) Because of this, the test is determining whether the desire of a lamb being with their flock mates, is stronger than avoiding the human. On the other hand, the isolation box test is an experiment where the agitation of the lamb is observed, when they are placed, alone, inside of a plywood box. Both of these studies share common behaviors of the lamb, which include the tendency to bleat and jump, the number of times they jumped and bleated, and the number of squares they crossed. From the data gathered from this table, it can be seen that the number of behaviors performed between the non fostered C C and N N lambs differ exponentially. An example of this distinction, is found in the number of bleats and tendency to jump. For the non fostered C C pair, the lamb bleated 53.7 times, while the N N pair lamb bleated an average of 88.6 times. Further, the C C pair lamb was found to jump 167 times, while the N N pair only jumped an average of 16 times. This is such a drastic difference between the two groups, which seems to negate the ideas that N N pair lambs are more agitated easier and thus express these behaviors more frequently than the other pairs. After examining the table, a pattern of behaviors cannot be found for any specific groups. This is true seeing as though one pair does not constantly have more moments of reaction than each and every other pairing and in the different categories. Due to this, an overall opinion of a lamb s temperament based on their genotype, environment, and the experiments given, cannot be determined. Although there is not a significant difference in which lambs were more content or nervous, it was

  • 22. Prohibition Of Marijuana, Heroin, And Other Drugs It is also possible that drug users are irrational decision makers and might not understand the adverse long term effects and addictive properties. Prohibition should reduce demand through legal penalties; however, since not all drug users are rational choice makers, demand can increase by creating a forbidden fruit effect. The consequences of increased use add to the complexity and costs of enforcement on both drugusers and the general population. Drug users, trying to avoid the legal consequences of their use, often times interact with non users in ways that are harmful and costly. Additionally, non users are also impacted by increased taxes to pay for the enforcement, by regulations to check for drugs that take time and are inconvenient, and by becoming innocent bystanders that can get caught in the middle of attempted arrests, often with deadly affects. The long federal experiment in prohibition of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and other drugs has given us unprecedented crime and corruption combined with a manifest failure to stop the use of drugs or reduce their availability to children. The factor that determines the amount of violence created by prohibition is the level of enforcement. There are two main reasons for this. One, black markets only form when the enforcement is very strict and, two, increasingly strict enforcement leads to violence both in making arrests and as competing suppliers seek to capture market share. The violence not only impacts those

I plan to evaluate multiple situations presented in Uncle Tom s Cabin and compare the characters personalities, and interactions with the tactics of the Willie Lynch letter to analyze if the letter could have had an effect on the treatment presented. The speech popularly known as the Willie Lynch letter was given by British slave owner William Lynch (Willie Lynch, n.d). This speech was given on the bank of the James river, in Virginia, on December 25, 1712 (Willie Lynch, n.d). However, in recent years, election campaigns have become really personalised focussing more on the party leader s personality, strengths and weaknesses rather than the party s policies, promises and ideas as a whole. The lead up to the next general election demonstrates this: the party leaders of the three major parties have become the face of their party s election campaign. The inventor must release all details regarding the invention which are needed to utilize the property by experts/professionals in the field. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another economic impact of the patent system is the increase in cooperation among different firms in the market which has a vital role in build or buy decisions within companies. Patents serve as a definable and transferrable asset among inventors, adopters and commercializers. Doing so, they form the basis of the market for inventions. A patented invention can be shared among companies through licensing, thus reducing the need for vertical integration which in turn reduces costs, the most common example being Microsoft Office licenses used in almost every company, rather than designing their own similar software like Zoho Corporation, who have their own version of the software. An example of cooperation between firms which influenced build/buy decision would be the cooperation between Coca Cola and Hewlett Packard, which involved the usage of HP s Indigo Digital Printing technology to create millions of new and unique labels for Coca Cola as part of their new, combined marketing and packaging strategies. Broad patents or the hoarding of patents by a small number of inventors can cause a significant decrease in competition, which greatly affects the innovation and evolution of the market. A good example would be the mobile phone industry with a highly uneven distribution of patents between a small number of companies. The degree of

Geomagnetic storms, also known as a magnetic storm, a solar storm, or space weather is a disturbance in the Earth s magnetic field (magnetosphere) caused by energy and flows of charged elements or plasma from the Sun. Solar storms come in a variety of forms, each capable of distinguishing brands of possible danger. Most magnetic storms are aimed away from Earth, but when a storm positions in our direction, space weathermen begin to analyze what sort of space weather it may produce, and how soon to anticipate the chaos [Wisconsin State Journal. When these charged particles get near the earth s magnetic field, due to the increased magnitudes in solar wind, the magnetic field accelerates towards the geomagnetic poles, therefore causing the phenomena called aurora borealis or northern lights. The other effect of a magnetic storm causes the geomagnetic field to become highly unstable due to the change and distribution of density, as a result, the ions in the earth s ionosphere become agitated, resulting in disorder; a massive disruption in our technical systems [Wisconsin State Journal P.A2]. After, he links it with the recognition a close relationship between property rights and externalities. The process of Internalizing such effects refers to a change in property rights, that enables these effects to bear (in greater degree) on all interacting persons. They become part of the economy.
