History of the Organization
•Founded in 1955 by Shri Durgaprasadji Saraf, expanded
and diversified by Late Shri Umashankarji Agrawal, the
eldest son of the founder and the chairman and managing
director of the group. Ferro Alloys Corporation Ltd widely
known as Facor group.
•The group that started its journey with a Ferro
Manganese plant in Shreeramnagar, Andhra Pradesh to
produce Ferro Manganese, diversified into various types
of Ferro Alloys.
•Today Facor group is one of the India's largest and
established producers and exporters of high Carbon
Ferro Chrome/Charge Chrome worldwide, an
essential ingredient for the manufacture of steel and
stainless steel.
•Facor group exports its products to several countries
like China, Germany, Korea, Japan, Italy, Netherland,
Taiwan, Turkey and USA.
MISSION
To supply high-quality steel products, providing related
services and solutions to a worldwide client base while
utilizing innovative technologies within an environment of
motivated employees focused on continuous improvement,
highest business standards, work ethics and corporate
citizenship, leading to added value to our customers and
sustained return on investment to our shareholders.
OBJECTIVES
Provides training in steel technology for the various levels of
manpower within the industry and other allied industries to
meet job requirement. Reduces reliance on overseas training
thereby saving scarce foreign exchange earnings. Fosters self
reliance within the steel industry in the area of training and
development thereby helping the economy of our nation to
grow.

PROFILE OF THE PRODUCTS
1. FERROCHROME
Ferrochrome is an alloy of chromium and iron which is an
essential ingredient for the manufacture of steel and
stainless steel.
2. FERROMANGANESE
Ferromanganese is an alloy with high content of manganese
and is used as a deoxidizer for the production steel.

SYSTEM OF ACCOUNTING FOLLOWED
The accounting system of Facor Alloys Corp. Ltd is supported by
software system SAP. It builds service orientation directly into
its solutions through a technology called as SAP NetWeaver.
Functional units of SAP are split across different organizational
units for R&D needs, field activities and customer support. The
main advantage of SAP system is that, this system enables the
users to get to know the full details of an employee right from
the day of his/her arrival in the organization.
Pay role is processed using SAP. Even if an employee is absent,
that will be also marked in his profile using SAP. Finally, when an
employee salary is computed, the SAP will calculate his/her
salary depending upon the number of leaves taken. This will
help the organization into reducing its human effort.

Africa to cater to the international market demands
