ORAL REHYDRATION SOLUTION (ORESOL)
ORAL REHYDRATION SOLUTION or  ORESOL - is a solution which can replace the lost fluids and nutrients. By drinking ORESOL, you are replacing the fluids and substances lost in diarrhea. This has been proven effective and has saved millions of children's’ lives around the world
EQUIPMENT: ORESOL 1 liter of water Pitcher or any mixing container Stirring rod or ladle Clean container Marker or pen and paper
HOMEMADE SALT AND SUGAR (HMSS) -is a very good alternative for ORESOL sachet. -this method is easy top prepare and the ingredients are readily available in our home especially during emergency cases
EQUIPMENTS SALT (rock) 1tsp SUGAR 8tsps DRINKING WATER 1liter CLEAN MIXING CONTAINER KNIFE OR FLAT OBJECT TEASPOON CUP OR GLASS PEN OR MARKER PAPER
STEPS: Measure 1liter of drinking water in (5 cupfuls or 5 glassfuls are about 1 liter) to the container Scoop the salt with a teaspoon Level the salt with a knife or a flat object. Add 1 level teaspoon of salt into water. Mix it with water. Taste the salt and water. it should not be very salty If it taste saltier than tears, pour the mixture and do the same process again. Take 8 level teaspoonfuls of sugar. Put this into the water and mix well. This will only be used in 24 hours
