One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is a non-profit organization that provides inexpensive laptops to children in developing countries to help empower them and improve access to education. OLPC was founded by Nicholas Negroponte and develops the XO laptop, which is low-cost, rugged, and optimized for collaborative and self-directed learning.
