This document summarizes a study screening sunflower lines for resistance to head rot disease. The objectives were to maintain genetic stocks for breeding new hybrids and test performance of a new hybrid. Sixteen B&R lines from the Oilseeds Research Institute were tested using a randomized complete block design. Head rot was inoculated and disease severity rated on a 0-9 scale. All lines were found to be highly susceptible to head rot, with disease percentages ranging from 80-93%.
