The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset that uses custom tracking technology to provide 360-degree head tracking and a stereoscopic 3D view. It has a high-resolution display, integrated headphones, and a wide 110-degree field of view. The Rift aims to create an immersive VR experience for gaming and experiences like watching movies in a virtual theater. It requires a powerful gaming PC and its own runtime software and drivers to function. The goal of the Rift is to advance both gaming and non-gaming applications of VR technology.
The Rift is a virtual reality head-mounted display developed by Oculus VR. It was initially proposed in a Kick starter campaign, during which Oculus VR.
The simulation aspect of the Oculus Rift can be put to use as a tool for training. It's one of the more obvious non-gaming applications for the device, mostly because non-VR simulations already exist in many fields, but the quality of simulation is what's important here.

These slides use ideas from my class to develop a business model for Oculus Rift’s headset. This headset creates the perception among users that they are in a different reality as they play video games. It has much higher resolution and faster response time than do previous headsets. Although Oculus hopes to develop its own console, these slides recommend that Oculus partner with a console maker such as Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo in order to reduce development cost and gain access to existing users and game software. Hopefully it can receive a portion of hardware and game software revenues as its headset enables console makers to increase their market share and charge more for game software.
Google's Daydream is a VR platform which will be released later this year. It will be the successor to Google Cardboard. Major partners of Google have already pledged to build phones compatible with the VR platform.

Hololens: Primo Contatto - Marco Dal Pino - Codemotion Milan 2016Codemotion
Presentation For Monthly Meeting in Mobile Team to encourage & brainstorm about creativity. We strongly believe creativity is not only one man job. It has to be done by entire team.

Market Based Analysis of Virtual Reality Products - IT StrategyMohitMhapuskar
Virtual Reality is a rapidly advancing technology that initially began it's life as an entertainment product but has rapidly grown into other areas such as healthcare, education, live events and military. While there is massive scope for VR, the technology is still in it's infancy and there are avenues for improvements in the future which could allow it to expand and capture larger segments of the market. Our team selected the VR company Oculus for our case study and conducted various market based analyses such as SWOT Analysis, Scenario Analysis, Porter’s 5 Forces for Strategy, PESTEL Analysis, BCG Matrix, Ansoff Matrix and Fishbone analysis to propose a strategic roadmap for future VR products and services.
Presentation on the topic Screenless Display , it is a type of display in which no screen is used.
It has 3 sub-topic visual image, retinal direct display and synaptic interface
Presentation of the second Meetup of 'Augmented Reality Barcelona' 2013-nov-7 at Citilab. Introduction to Meetup network and AR Glasses. The meeting included presentations of members of Tetravol, Bienetec, Augmate and Alt64
2. DO you know what is OCULUS
RIFT? Or had you even heard it?
3. The Oculus Rift
is a new virtual
reality headset
that lets players
step inside their
favorite games
and virtual
words
developed on
28 march 2016
at 10 am.
4. The Rift has an OLED display, 1080×1200 resolution per eye, a
90 Hz refresh rate, and 110° field of view. It has integrated
headphones which provide a 3D audio effect, rotational and
positional tracking.
The positional tracking system, called "Constellation", is
performed by a USB stationary infrared sensor that is picking
up light that is emitted by IR LEDs that are integrated into the
hmd.
The sensor normally sits on the user's desk. This creates 3D
space, allowing for the user to use the Rift while sitting,
standing, or walking around the same room.
DESCRIPTIONOF OCULUS
5. Low Latency
360° Head
Tracking
The Rift uses custom
tracking technology to
provide ultra-low latency
360° head tracking,
allowing you to seamlessly
look around the virtual
world just as you would in
real life. Every subtle
movement of your head is
tracked in real time
creating a natural and
intuitive experience.
6. Stereoscopic
3DView
The Oculus Rift creates a
stereoscopic 3D view with
excellent depth, scale,
and parallax. Unlike 3D on
a television or in a movie,
this is achieved by
presenting unique and
parallel images for each
eye.This is the same way
your eyes perceive
images in the real world,
creating a much more
natural and comfortable
experience.
7. UltraWide
Field of
View
The Oculus Rift provides an
approximately 110° field of
view, stretching the virtual
world beyond your
peripheral vision.Your view
of the game is no longer
boxed in on a screen and is
only limited by what your
eyes can see.The
combination of the wide
field of view with head-
tracking and stereoscopic
3D creates an immersive
virtual reality experience.
8. Engine
Integrations
The Oculus Software
Development Kit (SDK)
includes out-of-the-box
engine integrations for
the Unreal Development
Kit, Unreal Engine 4, and
Unity 4 that make getting
started withVR game
development easier and
faster than ever.
9. THE REQUIREMENTSOF
OCULUS RIFT.
■ System requirements :
Video Output Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output.
CPU : INTEL i5-4590 equivalent or greater.
RAM : 8GB + RAM
OS : Supports windows 8 or higher.
VEDIOCARD : NVIDIA GTX 970/AMD 290 equivalent or greater.
10. OCULUS HOME
Oculus Home's store is curated to only allow applications that
run smoothly on the recommended hardware, and
experiences are given ratings for their comfort .
OCULUS DRIVERS
The user must have this Oculus PC runtime and the drivers
installed in order to use the Rift. The runtime service
facilitates lens optical distortion, and the advanced rendering
and driver techniques to deliver a high qualityVR experience.
11. MOTIVE OF OCULUS RIFT:
The main motive ofVR oculus rift is to claim
advancement in gaming and non-gaming areas.
GAMING:
In July 2015, Oculus revealed that it was fully funding
more than 20 second party high production value
games made exclusively for the Rift, one of these
being Insomniac's Edge of Nowhere.
12. NON-GAMING:
MEDIA:
Oculus is including Oculus Cinema as a free
application, which allows the Rift to be
used to view conventional movies and
videos from inside a virtual cinema
environment, giving the user the
perception of viewing the content on a
cinema sized screen.
14. Virtual Reality is a computer generated,
multi-sensory information program which
tracks a user in real time.
A head-mounted display is a device, worn
on the head that has a small display optic
in front of one eye (monocular HMD) or
each eye (binocular HMD) to reproduce a
stereoscopic vision.
15. USES :
Many areas of design are
typically 3D for example, the
design of a car shape, where
the designer looks for
sweeping curves and good
aesthetics from every
possible view.
The most common example
is the flight simulator .They
have lower operating costs
and are safer to use than real
aircraft.They also allow the
simulation of dangerous
scenarios not allowable with
real aircraft.
