- Digital transformation uses technology to enable efficiency, differentiation and innovation. Experts, such as MIT’s Center for Digital Business, map digital transformation initiatives to three primary outcomes: Achieve cost savings and accelerate time to market by rethinking operations and processes Increase customer loyalty and grow revenue through improved customer experience Uncover new revenue streams and reach new markets with new business models
- In this digital era, CEOs are laser-focused on three things. Innovate faster than the competition, whether old or new Make money from more of their business assets and resources Manage risk to maintain their reputation and viability IT has never been so essential to delivering on these CEO imperatives. CIOs now have a strategic seat at the table – and will maintain it as long as they master the balance between overseeing operations and empowering innovation.
