Optimizing Tri-Core Permanent-Magnet-Linear-Generator Direct-Drive Wave-Energ...
According to statistical data, the south coast Yogyakarta has significant ocean wave height which can be used to generate electricity by using waveenergy-converter system. One of the simplest way to convert wave energy to electricity is using direct-drive wave-energy-conversion (WEC) system with permanent-magnet-linear-generator (PMLG). This method is simple because it does not need to convert linear motion to rotational motion. However, PMLG has large electric power losses, has great weight in both of the stator and rotor, and expensive to make. In this paper, a tri-core PMLG was designed. The electric power losses in the winding, translator weight, and material cost were ideally minimized using multiobjective optimization combined with simulated annealing (SA) algorithm. Then, the design was verified using finite element analysis. The optimized design of this PMLG was simulated using sinusoidal ocean waves which usually occur in the south coast of Yogyakarta to analyze the performance of this linear generator. Simulation result has been shown that this generator can generate 911 watt peak output power at the rated condition and at the optimum load with 81.14% efficiency. This confirms that the optimized design of PMLG is suitable for direct-drive WEC with low power losses and material cost.

There is need for an energy storage device capable of transferring high power in transient situations
aboard naval vessels. Currently, batteries are used to accomplish this task, but previous research has
shown that when utilized at high power rates, these devices deteriorate over time causing a loss in lifespan.
It has been shown that a hybrid energy storage configuration is capable of meeting such a demand while
reducing the strain placed on individual components. While designing a custom converter capable of
controlling the power to and from a battery would be ideal for this application, it can be costly to develop
when compared to purchasing commercially available products. Commercially available products offer
limited controllability in exchange for their proven performance and lower cost point - often times only
allowing a system level control input without any way to interface with low level controls that are
frequently used in controller design. This paper proposes the use of fuzzy logic control in order to provide
a system level control to the converters responsible for limiting power to and from the battery. A system
will be described mathematically, modeled in MATLAB/Simulink, and a fuzzy logic controller will be
compared with a typical controller.

The wind energy plays an important role in power system because of its renewable, clean and free energy. However, the penetration of wind power (WP) into the power grid system (PGS) requires an efficient energy storage systems (ESS). compressed air energy storage (CAES) system is one of the most ESS technologies which can alleviate the intermittent nature of the renewable energy sources (RES). Nyala city power plant in Sudan has been chosen as a case study because the power supply by the existing power plant is expensive due to high costs for fuel transport and the reliability of power supply is low due to uncertain fuel provision. This paper presents a formulation of security-constrained unit commitment (SCUC) of diesel power plant (DPP) with the integration of CAES and PW. The optimization problem is modeled and coded in MATLAB which solved with solver GORUBI 8.0. The results show that the proposed model is suitable for integration of renewable energy sources (RES) into PGS with ESS and helpful in power system operation management.

In this paper a new variable speed permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG)-based stand-alone wind energy conversion system (SWECS) is proposed. The interface between the PMSG and the isolated load is accomplished by a quasi-Z-source inverter (qZSI) with battery storage system. The battery-assisted qZSI can balance the stochastic fluctuations of the wind power injected to the load and improve the voltage and frequency control. In addition to the battery storage, a dump load is used in the proposed SWECS to better maintain the active power balance and stability of the dc-link voltage during over-generation condition as well as sudden load changes. The proposed control system is able to provide an uninterrupted and reliable supply to sensitive loads under various power generation scenarios of the SWECS and sudden changes in the load demand. Moreover, the proposed controller provides maximum power point tracking (MPPT) which is essential for optimum operation of the SWECS. The validity of the proposed system is proved by simulation results carried out using MATLAB/ SIMULINK.

A wind farm layout optimization framework based on a multi-fidelity model approach is applied to the offshore test case of Middelgrunden, Denmark. While aesthetic considerations have heavily influenced the famous curved design of Middelgrunden wind farm, this work focuses on testing a method that optimizes the profit of offshore wind farms based on a balance of the energy production, the electrical grid costs, the foundations cost, and the wake induced lifetime fatigue of different wind turbine components. The multi-fidelity concept uses cost function models of increasing complexity (and decreasing speed) to accelerate the convergence to an optimum solution. In the EU TopFarm project, three levels of complexity are considered. The first level uses a simple stationary wind farm wake model to estimate the Annual Energy Production AEP, a foundations cost function based on the water depth, and an electrical grid cost function. The second level calculates the AEP and adds a wake induced fatigue cost function based on the interpolation of a database of simulations done for various wind speed and wake setups with the aero-elastic code HAWC2 and the Dynamic Wake Meandering (DWM) model. The third level includes directly the HAWC2 and DWM models in the optimization loop in order to estimate both the fatigue costs and the AEP.
The novelty of this work is the implementation of the multi-fidelity, the inclusion of the fatigue costs in the optimization framework, and its application on an existing offshore wind farm test case.

ALWG is a new method that produces liner reciprocating motion via attached airfoils to a mover in a magnetic field in order to generate electricity.The most important advantage of ALWG is its simplicity and its compatibility to all wind situations that can be more controllable relative to ocean-based and also relative to LWG that become challengeable problem.

This research calibrated existing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models of four laboratory flume experiments to simulate flow changes due to marine hydrokinetic energy devices. Specifically, the Saint Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) flume experiment was modeled to replicate conditions around a 1:10 scale turbine model. The Sandia National Laboratories Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (SNL-EFDC) was used to compute flow velocities and velocity deficits. The model accurately predicted inlet velocities within 0.0005% of experimental values and generated velocity profiles that matched expectations. Overall, the models were modified to better represent experimental conditions for understanding wake flows.

Renewable energy sources, unlike the conventional combustible fuels, are naturally distributed and extensively available in a boundless manner all over the world in different forms. Here, in this paper, authors elucidate the scopes and opportunities of the ocean wave to develop a low-cost, environmental friendly, and sustainable electrical power generation system. At the present time most technological modernizations aimed at exploiting such resources are at early stage of development, with only a handful of devices close to be at the commercial demonstration stage. None of them, though, operates converting the wave energy contents at its very origin: the orbital motion of water particles right below the ocean surface. The Sea spoon device catches the kinetic energy of ocean waves with favorable conversion proficiency, according to specific "wave-motion climate". In this letter, authors illustrate a possible methodology of converting this naturally exorbitant energy with efficient conversion methodology and simulating the conversion environment with MATLAB/Simulink platform.

The wind energy plays an important role in power system because of its renewable, clean and free energy. However, the penetration of wind power (WP) into the power grid system (PGS) requires an efficient energy storage systems (ESS). compressed air energy storage (CAES) system is one of the most ESS technologies which can alleviate the intermittent nature of the renewable energy sources (RES). Nyala city power plant in Sudan has been chosen as a case study because the power supply by the existing power plant is expensive due to high costs for fuel transport and the reliability of power supply is low due to uncertain fuel provision. This paper presents a formulation of security-constrained unit commitment (SCUC) of diesel power plant (DPP) with the integration of CAES and PW. The optimization problem is modeled and coded in MATLAB which solved with solver GORUBI 8.0. The results show that the proposed model is suitable for integration of renewable energy sources (RES) into PGS with ESS and helpful in power system operation management.

In this paper a new variable speed permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG)-based stand-alone wind energy conversion system (SWECS) is proposed. The interface between the PMSG and the isolated load is accomplished by a quasi-Z-source inverter (qZSI) with battery storage system. The battery-assisted qZSI can balance the stochastic fluctuations of the wind power injected to the load and improve the voltage and frequency control. In addition to the battery storage, a dump load is used in the proposed SWECS to better maintain the active power balance and stability of the dc-link voltage during over-generation condition as well as sudden load changes. The proposed control system is able to provide an uninterrupted and reliable supply to sensitive loads under various power generation scenarios of the SWECS and sudden changes in the load demand. Moreover, the proposed controller provides maximum power point tracking (MPPT) which is essential for optimum operation of the SWECS. The validity of the proposed system is proved by simulation results carried out using MATLAB/ SIMULINK.

A wind farm layout optimization framework based on a multi-fidelity model approach is applied to the offshore test case of Middelgrunden, Denmark. While aesthetic considerations have heavily influenced the famous curved design of Middelgrunden wind farm, this work focuses on testing a method that optimizes the profit of offshore wind farms based on a balance of the energy production, the electrical grid costs, the foundations cost, and the wake induced lifetime fatigue of different wind turbine components. The multi-fidelity concept uses cost function models of increasing complexity (and decreasing speed) to accelerate the convergence to an optimum solution. In the EU TopFarm project, three levels of complexity are considered. The first level uses a simple stationary wind farm wake model to estimate the Annual Energy Production AEP, a foundations cost function based on the water depth, and an electrical grid cost function. The second level calculates the AEP and adds a wake induced fatigue cost function based on the interpolation of a database of simulations done for various wind speed and wake setups with the aero-elastic code HAWC2 and the Dynamic Wake Meandering (DWM) model. The third level includes directly the HAWC2 and DWM models in the optimization loop in order to estimate both the fatigue costs and the AEP.
The novelty of this work is the implementation of the multi-fidelity, the inclusion of the fatigue costs in the optimization framework, and its application on an existing offshore wind farm test case.

This research calibrated existing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models of four laboratory flume experiments to simulate flow changes due to marine hydrokinetic energy devices. Specifically, the Saint Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) flume experiment was modeled to replicate conditions around a 1:10 scale turbine model. The Sandia National Laboratories Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (SNL-EFDC) was used to compute flow velocities and velocity deficits. The model accurately predicted inlet velocities within 0.0005% of experimental values and generated velocity profiles that matched expectations. Overall, the models were modified to better represent experimental conditions for understanding wake flows.

Here, in this paper, authors elucidate the scopes and opportunities of the ocean wave to develop a low-cost, environmental friendly, and sustainable electrical power generation system. At the present time most technological modernizations aimed at exploiting such resources are at early stage of development, with only a handful of devices close to be at the commercial demonstration stage. None of them, though, operates converting the wave energy contents at its very origin: the orbital motion of water particles right below the ocean surface. The Sea spoon device catches the kinetic energy of ocean waves with favorable conversion proficiency, according to specific "wave-motion climate". In this letter, authors illustrate a possible methodology of converting this naturally exorbitant energy with efficient conversion methodology and simulating the conversion environment with MATLAB/Simulink platform.

The proposed method introduces flanges in the rotor teeth as a way to modify the rotor dimensions and reduce cogging torque without changing the stator. Finite element analysis is used to examine the impact of flange geometry on cogging torque. The effects on back-EMF, average torque, and torque ripple are also investigated. The results suggest rotor pole shaping is an effective method for cogging torque reduction in FSPMs.

Climate change's impact on the planet forced the United Nations and governments to promote green energies and electric transportation. The deployments of photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) systems gained stronger momentum due to their numerous advantages over fossil fuel types. The advantages go beyond sustainability to reach financial support and stability. The work in this paper introduces the hybrid system between PV and EV to support industrial and commercial plants. This paper covers the theoretical framework of the proposed hybrid system including the required equation to complete the cost analysis when PV and EV are present. In addition, the proposed design diagram which sets the priorities and requirements of the system is presented. The proposed approach allows setup to advance their power stability, especially during power outages. The presented information supports researchers and plant owners to complete the necessary analysis while promoting the deployment of clean energy. The result of a case study that represents a dairy milk farmer supports the theoretical works and highlights its advanced benefits to existing plants. The short return on investment of the proposed approach supports the paper's novelty approach for the sustainable electrical system. In addition, the proposed system allows for an isolated power setup without the need for a transmission line which enhances the safety of the electrical network

geopolitical, geostrategic, and geoeconomic variables. Topics including trade, political hegemony, oil
politics, and conventional and nontraditional security are all explored and explained by the researcher.
Using Mackinder's Heartland, Spykman Rimland, and Hegemonic Stability theories, examines China's role
in Central Asia. This study adheres to the empirical epistemological method and has taken care of
objectivity. This study analyze primary and secondary research documents critically to elaborate role of
china’s geo economic outreach in central Asian countries and its future prospect. China is thriving in trade,
pipeline politics, and winning states, according to this study, thanks to important instruments like the
Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the Belt and Road Economic Initiative. According to this study,

TIME DIVISION MULTIPLEXING TECHNIQUE FOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is a method of transmitting multiple signals over a single communication channel by dividing the signal into many segments, each having a very short duration of time. These time slots are then allocated to different data streams, allowing multiple signals to share the same transmission medium efficiently. TDM is widely used in telecommunications and data communication systems.
### How TDM Works
1. **Time Slots Allocation**: The core principle of TDM is to assign distinct time slots to each signal. During each time slot, the respective signal is transmitted, and then the process repeats cyclically. For example, if there are four signals to be transmitted, the TDM cycle will divide time into four slots, each assigned to one signal.
2. **Synchronization**: Synchronization is crucial in TDM systems to ensure that the signals are correctly aligned with their respective time slots. Both the transmitter and receiver must be synchronized to avoid any overlap or loss of data. This synchronization is typically maintained by a clock signal that ensures time slots are accurately aligned.
3. **Frame Structure**: TDM data is organized into frames, where each frame consists of a set of time slots. Each frame is repeated at regular intervals, ensuring continuous transmission of data streams. The frame structure helps in managing the data streams and maintaining the synchronization between the transmitter and receiver.
4. **Multiplexer and Demultiplexer**: At the transmitting end, a multiplexer combines multiple input signals into a single composite signal by assigning each signal to a specific time slot. At the receiving end, a demultiplexer separates the composite signal back into individual signals based on their respective time slots.
### Types of TDM
1. **Synchronous TDM**: In synchronous TDM, time slots are pre-assigned to each signal, regardless of whether the signal has data to transmit or not. This can lead to inefficiencies if some time slots remain empty due to the absence of data.
2. **Asynchronous TDM (or Statistical TDM)**: Asynchronous TDM addresses the inefficiencies of synchronous TDM by allocating time slots dynamically based on the presence of data. Time slots are assigned only when there is data to transmit, which optimizes the use of the communication channel.

precisely delineate tumor boundaries from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
scans holds profound implications for diagnosis. This study presents an ensemble convolutional neural network (CNN) with transfer learning, integrating
the state-of-the-art Deeplabv3+ architecture with the ResNet18 backbone. The
model is rigorously trained and evaluated, exhibiting remarkable performance
metrics, including an impressive global accuracy of 99.286%, a high-class accuracy of 82.191%, a mean intersection over union (IoU) of 79.900%, a weighted
IoU of 98.620%, and a Boundary F1 (BF) score of 83.303%. Notably, a detailed comparative analysis with existing methods showcases the superiority of
our proposed model. These findings underscore the model’s competence in precise brain tumor localization, underscoring its potential to revolutionize medical
image analysis and enhance healthcare outcomes. This research paves the way
for future exploration and optimization of advanced CNN models in medical
imaging, emphasizing addressing false positives and resource efficiency.
