Obesity is a medical condition in which a person's excess body fat has
accumulated to the extent that it may have a negative effect on health, leading to
reduced life expectancy and increased health problems. Obesity is an abnormal
accumulation of body fat, usually 20% or more over ideal body weight
individuals. Obesity is associated with an increased risk of disease, disability,
and death. (Hidajat,B. Hidayati,SN. Irawan,R. 2011)

Example: Weight = 60 kg, Height = 170 cm (1.70 m)
Calculation: 60 ÷ (1.7)2 = 20.8
Formula: weight (kg) / [height (m)]2
Example: Weight = 98 kg, Height = 165 cm
(1.65 m)
Calculation: 98 ÷ (1.65)2 = 36

Through research it can be concluded that the causes of obesity in the United
States are because people of America lazy to do some exercise, and relies heavily on
technology that simplify their work, so that the burning of fat in their body is not
optimal and leads to obesity, the other factors such lack of proper food choices,
age, genetics and socio economic environment also affect the state of the call that
obesity.
And it can be concluded also that obesity has a very bad impact on the health and
cause various harmful diseases, such diabetes which end with amputation
blindness, and some danger diseases, hypertension, heart diseases, many kind of
cancer, and stroke which can lead to death.
