Ocupa as brañas que se atopan na beira do encoro da Fervenza, no río Xallas, entre Orbellido e Brandomil: Brañas Brancas, Brañas de Brandomil e Brañas Grandes.
É unha zona de terreos húmidos, que se anegan temporalmente nas beiras do Xallas e dos seus afluentes Vao da Aveeira e rego de Ponte Carreiro.
CONCELLOS: Santa Comba e Zas.
Situadas no NO da provincia de Zamora, na comarca de Terra de Campos (Castela-León).
CONCELLOS: Cañizo, Cerecinos de Campos, Manganeses de la Lampreana, Revellinos, San Agustín del Pozo, San Martín de Valderaduey, Tapioles, Villafáfila, Villalba de la Lampreana, Villárdiga e Villarín de Campos.

Estación do ano que comeza co equinicio de
outono (20 ou 21 de marzo no hemisferio sur e 22 ou 23 de
setembro no hemisferio norte) e remata co solsticio
de inverno (arredor do 21 de xuño no hemisferio sur o do
21 de decembro no hemisferio norte).
Nesta época caen as follas das árbores caducas e
descende a temperatura.

Fungo pluricelular que adoita medrar en lugares
húmidos e pouco soleados.
A especialidade da medicina e da botánica que
se ocupa dos fungos se chama micología.
Os cogomelos pertencen ao reino dos fungos;
parécense en parte aos animais e en parte ás
plantas. Non se desprazan e non fabrican o
seu alimento.

É o río máis longo, caudaloso e importante de
Galicia; mide uns 610 kms.
Nace na Serra de Meira e aflora por primeira vez
na lagoa de Fonmiñá (Lugo). O seu afluente
máis importante é o Sil.
Nos seus últimos kilómetros sirve de fronteira
entre España e Portugal.

O azafrán é unha especia que sae dos estigmas
secos da flor de de Crocus sativus.
Se caracteriza polo seu sabor amargo, o seu
aroma e sobre todo polo tinte cor amarela
que da á comida, en especial á paella.
Se precisan 250.000 flores de azafrán para lograr un
kilogramo de azafrán puro. En 2010 o precio do
azafrán en España rondaba os 3.000 euros o kilo.

O carballo (Quercus sp.) é unha árbore
caducifolia común en toda Galicia.
As súas follas son caducas, ovais e lobuladas.

O fento, felgueira ou fieito común (Pteridium

Esta especie é un dos organismos vexetais de
máis ampla distribución, podéndose atopar en

É moi resitente aos incendios forestais.

É unha árbore perenne. Os froitos, de cor viva
vermella, conteñen catro sementes duras e son
velenosos para o home. Estes froitos maduran no
outono e permanecen na árbore ata finais do
inverno e sirven de alimento á pita do monte. A
súa madeira, cor branca, é moi dura e resistente.
Cultura popular
Os celtas considerábano unha árbore sagrada, con capacidade
para atraer a boa sorte.
