Ideation is more than brainstorming. It is the process of creating new ideas.Ideation is the creative process of generating, developing, and communicating new ideas, where an idea is understood as a basic element of thought that can be either visual, concrete, or abstract[1]. Ideation is all stages of a thought cycle, from innovation, to development, to actualization.[2] As such, it is an essential part of the design process, both in education and practice[3].Several large companies, like Starbucks and Best Buy, have opened up this process to their consumers, inviting anyone to raise new ideas for possible company products using a dedicated idea management software open on the internet.
Ask them to reflect on something they have always wanted to do – one idea that would change their business. Something bigger and more challenging -

The self administered questionnaire should be done at the outset and you can instruct them to take it out after one month and ask themselves the following: How is it going – am I committed? What’s changed if anything from the original idea?If there has been no movement forward – why?How accurate was my original assessment?
