Introduction
• Non-verbal communication is a message or response that
cannot be expressed in words or hints.
• Non-verbal communication helps us to express ourselves better.
• It can play five roles in communication which are repetition,
contradiction, substitution, complementing and accenting.

• Includes body language, body movements, gestures, postures, postures,
facial expressions head and hand movements.
• It can be used to emphasize on what is being said.
• It plays 55 % of our total non-verbal communication.

• Occulesics deals with studying of eye span or eye contact.

Paralanguage
• Paralanguage relates to the wordless sounds you hear, it concerns
how something is said rather than what is said. So, it is also called
Vocalics.
• Four types of paralanguage are:
1. Pitch
2. Volume
3. Rate
4. Tone

• The things that one carries comes under the Aritfactics.
• Example the way of dressing.
• It adds to ones personality.
• It helps the audience to interpret and analyze us better.

2. Polychronic
