Technical Product Management Director – January 2016 to Present, NOKIA Technologies
Technical Product Management Director for IMS core products (TAS, CSCF) managing cross-functional
teams across 4 different locations world-wide. Primary responsible for managing and negotiating
migration to the target portfolio for the key Tier1/Tier2 accounts while ramping down the retired
portfolio within the constraints of the OPEX frame. Drive the program content definition to bring close to
300ME revenue with less than 25% OPEX.
IMS Solution Release Product & Program Management - Manager 2002-2015
As one of the pioneers of the IMS program within the company, responsible for managing IMS Solution
program from its inception to mature IMS deliveries spanning over 15+ IMS Releases to win critical Tier1
North America and International customers like AT&T, VZ, FT, SFR, KPN, Belgacom, Bouygues Tel, China.
From the infancy days of IMS, shaped IMS solution value proposition from definition, reference
architecture, solution roadmap, staging of various network elements, delivery to Network Level
test, managing continuous quality, and final delivery for customer deployment.
Defined IMS Release strategy and schedule that meets the market needs while balancing the
work program across 20+ elements. Negotiated and partnered with 20+ elements in core, access
and applications layers to deliver IMS Solution features.
Collaborated with regional and customer teams to gather market requirements and feature
prioritization that drives the IMS business.
Being part of the original core team that introduced IMS to AT&T in 2003, played instrumental
role in winning largest end-to-end IMS customer contract with AT&T whose IMS deployment has

Over the span of eight years, mentored several engineers to grow IMS expertise, and make them
self sufficient to contribute effectively to IMS program.
Since April’2010, manager of a team of 4 to 8 engineers whose responsibilities are to define and
deliver IMS Solution Releases and Solution Roadmap.
Softswitch Product Manager 2001-2002
As part of core product management team, engaged in market survey and analysis to set directions and
strategy for the LSS offers, assisted in business case analysis, definition and feature planning of the
release, set directions for the integrated EMS and the Network Management solution, define roadmaps
for evolving Fault Management and Reliability functions, and assisted in evaluating external and internal
third party vendors for providing end user web-based provisioning capabilities.
7 R/E OAMP and EMS Product Manager 2000-2001
Defined OneLink EMS product strategy and integration approach for management of heterogeneous
network elements while balancing the cost and schedule against customers’ requirements. Set directions
for the OAMP integration of the various 7 R/E elements including PSAX and GX550. As a primary liaison to
Telcorida, lead and managed the business and the technical aspects of OSMINE and NGNESS certification
process for Telcordia OSS to deliver operational solution for customers such as Qwest and SBC.
Formulated similar Network Management solution with Lucent OSS products.
7 R/E EMS System Engineering 1999-2000
Provided system-level requirements for development of 7 R/E OneLink EMS in the area of Fault and
Performance Management, and define requirements and External Interface Specification (EIS) document
for inteworking with OSS. Helped build the EMS system engineering team and mentored several engineers
for their effective contribution to OneLink Release 1.0 requirements.
International 5ESS Market System Engineer 1998-2000
As a 5E-MSE for ASEAN markets, provided technical support to in-country Lucent teams in Philippines,
Singapore, Brunei, Thailand and Malaysia for retrofitting to 5EE12 and 5EE13 generics, Y2K issues,
supporting merging of load lines and multiple market codes, and leading the first regional Asia MSE
conference which was attended by over 100 regional and design center MSEs and customer teams
International Standards Delegate 1993-1998
Represented Switching Business Unit in ETSI & ITU-T (SG4, SG2) standard bodies for the development of
open interface standards for the Telecommunication Network (TMN) in the OAMP area to ensure
alignment with 5ESS Switch OAMP functions. Was the editor of the ITU-T Rec. Q.823 standard to define
CMIP/Q3 Information Model for Network Traffic Management and E.series recommendations.
5ESS OAMP and Y2K System Engineer 1992-1998
Provided Architecture and Requirement Specifications for product development and evolution of Traffic
Network Management features over five International releases. As a subject matter expert in the area of
Network Management, invited to many international customers meeting to assist in efficiently managing
their network. Lead 5ESS Switch thru Y2K certification with requirements spanning over 35 subsystems,
and rigorous Telcordia Y2K GR compliance and Y2K testing efforts.
5ESS Software Development Engineer 1986-1992

Over the span of five years, was a team lead responsible for the development and delivery of Network
Traffic Management features to various international customers. Worked on various stages of
development cycle and provided support of various international FOA sites. Mentored several engineers
and developed Network Traffic Management course to be offered to other application engineers and
testers. Initiated several quality efforts such as uncommoning of the software, porting software between
US and International software releases, NM/RTA Interface QI Story, with the later selected for the 1995
Employee Excellent Award.
5ESS Software Development Engineer 1984-1986
As part of the Tools Development Team, enhanced the ECMS tools for allowing remote accessing to the
files under the SCCS database. Developed capabilities to notify developers about the cross-project
modifications to facilitate porting of the code across domestic and international software releases. Gained
recognition as an ECMS expert and facilitated smooth transition of the ECMS tools to the Tools
organization.
