Director of Information Technology
Recruited to revitalize the Information Technology program within the City, to include improving existing
infrastructures across City (physically, logically, security) buildings, bring new technologies into the City to
contribute to and promote the active marketing efforts of the City in general.
Key Contributions:
Initiated and led in updating department into consolidated, centralized, service-oriented facility for the
city for purchasing, leasing, repairs, and standards for information technology.

2. Designed and oversaw the installation of City Hall's first physical access control system using a two-
token key (proximity and biometric) that also worked with IP-based video on a separate gigabit
network. System built on industry standards to expand citywide.
Used creative budgeting and funding to introduce necessary technologies such as EMC storage
arrays, Dell Blade arrays, and VMware virtual server environments, all within a period of less than six
months, including migration of critical applications that were reaching hardware end-of-life.
Implemented first-ever desktop life-cycle management project where workstations were replaced by,
scheduled by, and budgeted by the IT department - and received full funding at first pass of legislature.
