Nihilism is a philosophy that denies all existence and meaning. It involves a rejection of all religious and moral values. Historically, some revolutionary groups in 19th century Russia took on the label of "Nihilists" as they scorned tradition and authority. However, his views did have a basis in nihilism's view that reality is ultimately meaningless and existence is aimless suffering.
