Elizabeth Embry, businessman David Warnock, City Councilmember Nicholas Mosby, and City
Councilmember Carl Stokes. Based on a Baltimore Sun/University of Baltimore poll, these
candidates placed in the top six within a crowded field. On April 13, however, Councilmember
Mosby dropped out of the race and pledged his support to Senator Pugh. Therefore, we included the
top five remaining candidates. Criminal justice reform and the economy were the issues candidates

high unemployment rate, the emphasis on these issues is understood. Yet, these discussions did not
complement our research. Between January 2016 and primary day, only one housing related forum

Impacts on the forests are increasing as a result of the fantastic growth of human populations and
the global spread of pollutants leading to loss of biodiversity which is one of the most severe
threats to sustainability.
Land use changes have transformed land cover to farmlands, grazing lands, human settlements and
urban centers at the expense of natural vegetation particularly in West Africa. These changes are
associated with deforestation, biodiversity loss and land degradation. The relationships between land
use and biodiversity are fundamental to understanding the links between people and their
environment
The aim of this work is to provide a holistic view of the impacts of anthropogenic activities and
land use changes on biodiversity conservation by synthesizing works and facts across a range of
different related research works.

Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth. It includes diversity at the genetic level, such as that
between individuals in a population or between plant varieties, the diversity of species, and the
diversity of ecosystems and habitats. (Assefa et al.,2007 )
Biodiversity provides the basis for ecosystems and the services they provide, upon which all people
fundamentally depend. People rely on biodiversity in their daily lives, often without realizing it.

As you know by now, I am a firm believer in body weight exercises, or what I like to call REAL
exercises.
What does this mean?
Well, based on my experience, I find that too many people tend to take the easy way out when it
comes to the exercise they do to try and lose their unwanted body fat.
A perfect example is that mystery machine that seems to be so popular, called the Elliptical
Trainer. Body weight exercises can beat this type of exercise hands down in many ways. For
example, it s been proven that the movement that is replicated by one of these elliptical trainers is
unique unto itself, and doesn t mirror any natural movement that the human body performs on a
regular basis. In other words, doing a regular workout on one of these machines is like practicing
your golf swing for hours upon hours and then going out and playing a game of soccer, hoping that
those practice sessions will help your game!

Hoping to address the limitations of the MEIM, Umana Taylor, Yazedjian Bamaca Gomez (2004)
created the Ethnic Identity Scale (EIS), which is primarily based on Erikson s and Tajfel s theories.
The EIS consists of 46 assessing three distinct components of ethnic identity: exploration,
resolution, and affirmation. The exploration subscale assesses the extent to which individuals have
explored their ethnic identity; resolution subscale assesses the extent to which individuals have
resolved issues related to their ethnic identity, and affirmation refers to the feelings (positive or
negative) individuals associated with their ethnic identity. Using the three subscales while being
consistent with Marcia s (1980) identity statuses, Umana Taylor et al. (2004) proposed a new
categorization scheme which classifies individuals into 8 ethnic identity statuses: diffuse positive,
diffuse negative, foreclosed positive, foreclosed negative, moratorium positive, moratorium
negative, achieved positive, and achieved negative. For example, diffuse positive characterizes
individuals who scored low on both exploration and resolution subscales, but with high affirmation.
Unlike the MEIM, the EIS allows researchers to take a dimensional approach to understanding

According to the Strengths Finder Survey which identified my top five strengths by analyzing
my answers to the questions asked of me on a website they are as follows: Strategic,
Deliberative, Context, Adaptability and Learner. Being employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of

The exhibition that I viewed at the San Antonio Art Museum was called 28 Chinese . This
exhibit was based on the artwork of 28 contemporary Chinese artists. Throughout the exhibit, it
was discussing the fall of communism, poverty, the essence of time, resistance, rebellion and the
conservation of history. Some of the artwork I saw were created by Zhu Jinshi, Qiu Zhijie,
Zhang Huan, and Shang Yixin, just to name a few. The exhibit was on two floors of the
museum. When I first entered the exhibit, it led me to a big white room with art being displayed
on all walls. The first room was based on the Coca Cola project in which there was a tall case of
Coca Cola bottles being displayed right when you walk in. To the right was a clear box that held
burnt down Coca Cola bottles. These items being displayed made me want to read about the
project since it was a familiar company that most people know. Some of the other rooms were
structured differently. Some had sculptures, audio visuals, interactive pieces and others had
modified furniture but every piece of art had a description next to it which told who the artist
was as well as the meaning of the art itself. The materials used for some of the art works included
wood, bamboo, and rice paper. The second floor to the exhibit is mostly abstract art work. The
overall theme of this was to express their preservation of Chinese culture being good and bad
