Presented at WiLSWorld 2016 on August 2nd by Terri Muraski, Information Systems Librarian, UW-Stevens Point; Dana Franco, Library Media Specialist, Ripon Area School District; and Michael Spelman, Supervisor, Central Library Public Services, Madison Public Library A panel of presenters, one each from a K-12, academic, and public library, who have recently built or renovated their library spaces will share their experiences and lessons learned from their projects. What were the challenges? What innovative things did they do with their space? How did they learn how the space should be designed for use?

13. Concluding Remarks
● The project is not yet complete, so I cannot speak of success or non-success
● Taking chances is crucial to get better “returns.”
● Will use pre-school year as opportunity to re-train faculty and staff on how to use
databases and other resources to obtain non-fiction information.
● Will seek opportunities in the beginning of the school year to ascertain that students are
comfortable seeking information via database searches and Destiny, which is now
offering links to our subscription databases.
● Hopeful that this will take our Media Center into the direction of being more hands-on,
collaborative and 21st Century.
